Chapter 3: the mad, the sad, and the new

After I calmed down I made my way out of the small cave and down the rock. As soon as my feet touched the ground, i was enveloped in a pair of arms. It was lacey, i hugged her back. She kept saying how sorry she was about zj. So that's my mates name.
Right now i couldn't care less, i was feeling some else's care for me and I was relishing the feeling. I tightened my hug on her, afraid she'll disappear. Lacey, my only true friend ever. She rubbed my back and said softly "im not going anywhere olivia. Im here for as long as you need me." I nodded and begrudgingly let her go and we walked back towards the pack house.
If I saw zj again it'll be different. My crying was a sign of weakness, no more crying. We just about reached the door when he actually shows up again. I could feel the mate bond going crazy as his scent got closer. My wolf would've been going crazy as well if she wasn't pissed.
"Look, I'm sorry. But please we're mates. I'd do anything for you, You know that. I just want you to be happy." He said as lacey was trying to get him to go away. That speech. It's the same one xai gave after he'd beat. It used to work on me until my wolf got tired of that same old speech.
I thought about it over and over and the more I thought the madder I became. I turned around as he got annoyed with lacey.
He straightened his posture and looked down on her. His face changed to a look that I've only seen on an alphas face, as his eyes barreled down into her and demanded she submit.
He growled and told her to move in a demanding voice. She whimpered and bowed her head, showing her neck in submission. She moved out of his way and just stayed glued to her spot. So he's the next alpha of this pack, wait does that mean he'll use his alpha tone on me to get what he wants?
That's just another way for him to manipulate me when he want. I'll be damned if I let that ever happen. Out of nowhere my anger and frustration burst free. "Are you deaf!! I told you and your pup to leave me alone!!" I started raising my voice. I know his wolf didn't like being called a pup, and that his wolf was going to try and show me he's not to be tested, or disrespected.
That's just what I wanted. I wanted him to prove that he's like xai, To prove me right. I smirked and stood on the tips of my toes, as I whispered in his ear "prove me right alpha boy."
He did the smart thing and calmed down. I turned around and walked into the pack house house. Lacey walked in after me and told me that the alpha made me her roommate. When we got to the room all I wanted to do was sleep, so that's what I did.
I awoke to the smiling face of alpha zackery, It scared the hell out of me. "I hope you had a nice sleep. After your little episode I can only imagine how tired you'd be." I nodded as I noticed alpha zackery staring at me intensely. All of a sudden an intense buzzing was going in my head, it was giving me a headache. "You feel it don't you, the buzzing? Focus on it. Don't push it away." He said.
I nodded and focused on it, reaching out for it. It grew louder and stronger the closer I got to reaching it. When I finally grabbed it in my mind the buzzing turn into voices. Tons of different voices, it surprised me so bad that I jumped a little. The alpha laughed "don't worry I hear them too. It's The pack link, what you're hearing is everyone in the pack talking to each other in their heads. Only members of a pack can hear it."
"So I've officially joined youre pack?" I asked. Right then lacey jumped on me and hugged me "that's right olivia! Welcome to the pack." She said. The alpha left our room as me and lacey kept talking for awhile. 'Olivia, you know what a new pack means' rose asked me. 'What' i asked 'a new start.'she said
She was right, and I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I walk into our bathroom. It was extremely spacious. I looked in the mirror on the wall and just studied myself, because I mean it's been 3 years.
My hair was a naturally vibrant and shiny blood red, it was also, unruly, unkempt, and way too long. It reached my lower back, I'm in dire need of a haircut and styling. I had clear blue eyes, full pink lips, and what people have said we're cute cheek bones.
I took another glance at myself and was kind of caught off guard. My skin was really pale, as white as snow. I didn't mind it was just really surprising. I looked down at the counter and was surprised at how many things were cluttered on it.
I grabbed some scissors and started cutting away at my hair. It took way longer than expected, my hair was really hard to cut. I was skillfully snipping in some places and thoughtfully cutting in others. I set the scissors down and started clearing the sink of make-up, small shampoo bottles, and make-up brushes.
I grabbed a big bottle of shampoo and conditioner as I started lathering my newly cut hair with shampoo. I nearly used the whole bottle when I stopped and thoroughly washed my hair out. I repeated the process with the conditioner, almost using all of it too. I smirked and thought, I forgot how I enjoyed this.
