Chapter 18: Chapter 9: Out Again

-The World Of Teyvat, Teyvat Continent, Mondstadt Region, Windwail Highland Area-

The crying went on for a while before things got back to place, Venus got to talk with both, and after he and Mera killed whatever Hilichurls were still in the area, which was a total of 52 as the rest had already they had not fled despite the situation at hands. Maybe it was due to it all happening to fast for them to actually escape, but they were already dead, so Venus wouldn't bother thinking about it.

[Report. You have reached level 4.]

Not minding his rise in level too much, Venus instead focused on collecting the Hilichurls and putting them in his inventory. Once that was done, he went back to the girls, and they decided to call it a day in terms of hunting, with the whole emotional thing, so they headed back home, where lunch was already waiting for them.

-The World Of Teyvat, Teyvat Continent, Mondstadt Region, Windwail Highland Area, The Ambrosio House-

"We've only been here for almost two days and I'm already in love with the food here! This northern apple stew is soooo good!" Sarah was having fun with the food of Mondstadt, as it had proven to be very good so far.

The dish consisted of braised meat and apples. The meat was juicy and it was said that one could never have enough of it, no matter how much they ate, as it was overall a great meal experience.

"Honestly... I... I have to admit. The food here tastes much more savory... I like it..." Elesia had a somewhat forced smile on as she still seemed to be bumped out about what had happened earlier.

"I think it's too soft. Meat is supposed to have some substance and grip to it, this just feels like spaghetti disguised as meat, too tender for my taste." Mera came out with a different perspective on the meal.

"... Maybe I made a rush choice by bringing you here... After hearing you say that, I might just have brought an insane psychopath to live with us... I thought I had better judgment than this." Playing off what Mera said, Venus dramatized it even though he did think her opinion was a bit odd.

*Giggles* Elesia and Sarah both let out small laughs at the two's antics, not taking what Mera said seriously.

"I know you're trying to make a joke out of it, but I'm dead serious. The meat is too tender and I don't like it." Mera reaffirmed her misunderstood stance.

"At this point, I don't know what to tell you... That's a different way to look at things... I guess." Venus legitimately didn't know what to say as he was just confused on how someone reached that conclusion, to begin with, but he himself didn't know too much about the food and its preparation, anyway, so does it even matter?

"At least she doesn't eat well-done meat, there's room for salvation." Sarah commented.

"I eat well-done meat, and I don't get the fuss about it." Venus replied.

"I see, so you are the true psychopath." Sarah immediately answered.

The conversation continued and they all laughed together before Venus announced. "... I'm going to the Favonius Cathedral to ask about the visions and Barbatos. If any of you want to come, you're free to do so."

"No thanks, I don't like churches, plus I have plans with Elesia." Mera responded.

"Yeah... I don't really feel like going out right now anyway." Elesia added.

"Oh, I want to go!" Sarah immediately lifted her hand.

"You seem eager." Venus smiled.

"Don't get it wrong! I just want to see the Cathedral! And the city of Mondstadt!" Sarah pouted as she responded.

"Yup got it. Let's go before it starts getting late, and I actually want to go to a blacksmith as well, since we're already going to the city... Though it's not really that far from here. So tell me what kind of weapon you would like." Venus declared.

"... Hm... I want to say scythe, but I'm honestly quite of bored of always employing one, so... Oh, I know bring me a halberd! It's familiar enough, and a pretty interesting combination of weapons, I would like to try. Yes, believe that will do." Mera expressed.

"Daggers! I want Daggers!" Sarah exclaimed enthusiastically.

"Hm... I don't think I need a weapon..." Elesia replied.

"You don't have to use it to kill, it's more so for self-defense. Just because you fight it doesn't mean you have to kill the opponent." Venus moved close to her before saying, and then contained to say. "How about a blunt weapon? Less chance of any accidents."

"Hmmm... Ok, I think I want a gauntlet." As Venus hugged her from behind Elesia felt a bit more comfortable and made her decision.

"I'll make sure they fit your style, no worries!" Venus reassured her before kissing her, and then he left with Sarah.

Once he had left. "I also wanted a kiss..." Mera narrowed her eyes as she complained.

Meanwhile, Venus and Sarah reached the city of Mondstadt in no time with their newfound speed even though Sarah tripped and destroyed a few trees and vegetation in general, a couple of times, as she was still not fully used to it.

The city was rather large now that they were closer than it seemed from their house, and it was a slight to see with a beautiful cobblestone construction and that medieval feel to it. As they were walking around, Venus saw a building that had a sign saying 'Adventurer's Guild', and immediately his attention was gained.

"We'll have to come back here with Mera and Elesia to register as adventurers. It seems to make roaming around the world much easier." Venus told Sarah.

"Ok, that sounds useful." Sarah agreed.

They then continued walking for a bit until Sarah decided to ask around and discovered the blacksmith shop was actually near the entrance of the city. Now aware of that, they made their way there and found it almost instantly.

"Welcome to Schulz's Blacksmith, I'm Schulz, an apprentice. How may I help you?" Schulz greets them as soon as they get close enough, behind him a man hammering and working with the metals could be seen, but somehow it wasn't extremely noisy.

"Yeah, I wanted to order custom weapons and I'm not if you take commissions." Venus answered.

"Oh, don't worry, Master Wagner will certainly be happy to work on some new weapons, but exactly do you need? Swords? Bows? Spears?" Schulz said as soon as he heard what Venus wanted.

"No. Actually, I wanted 6 weapons, a scythe, a halberd, twin daggers, and gauntlets with blunt knuckles." Venus replied

"And don't forget to add flower patterns to the daggers." Sarah added.

"Ok, I'll talk to Master about it, and I'll be right back with a price." Schulz went to talk to Wagner and after a bit, he was right back. "Okay, the weapon order is 1,800 Mora, together with the fact they are custom-made adds 300 Mora, making a total price of 2,100 Mora. Though it's possible to reduce the price if you are the ones providing the materials used to make the weapons."

"No need, it's fine. When can I hope to come and get the weapons?" Venus asked.

"I would say in 4 to 5 days at most." Schulz said in response.

"That works, I'll be back in five days." Venus finalized the order and he left with Sarah right after, since it wasn't a problem for him to pay later when he came to get the weapons, after all, most people wouldn't want to cause trouble in this city because of the Knights of Favonius, so people didn't worry too much about being scammed.

Being done with the weapon order, they headed to the Favonius Cathedral going all the way up through the city until they reached it. Once there they found a girl carrying five wooden crates on her own, she had what seemed to be an armored dress, and short, neck-length pale lavender hair with a straight fringe and lopsided locks of hair framing her face, followed by olive green eyes, and a snowy complexion. It was surely not an everyday occurrence for someone with her type of petite build and small stature to carry that much weight, especially all at once.

Seeing a cutie dealing with all that work on her own, Venus' priorities kicked in and he set a mental reminder that a new candidate for the harem had been found.

"Really? We've been here for what? A day and half, you're already eyeing someone... You're hopeless." Sarah commented seeing his smile and lustful eyes.

"I'm a fickle creature, but at least I'm honest about it, you should have known what you were getting yourself into." Venus retorted.

"Hmph!... I hate to admit it, but you're not lying... Then why not just approach her now? She seems like she could use some help." Sarah pointed out.

"Her eyes. They said 'I can do this! I'm good enough.' so I don't think she would take my help even if I offered." Venus explained.

"What the hell are you on about?! Since when can you read people?!" Sarah narrowed her eyes and didn't believe it at all.

"I can't, but I can definitely tell what eyes determined to prove their worth look like." Venus expressed.

Not a word was said in response by Sarah and they simply went into the Favonius Cathedral. She was a bit surprised that Venus decided not to interfere despite being interested, but little did she know that he was just going to gather some info before attacking.
