Chapter 53: Not A Bad Deal !
Aether was shocked when he heard that the Dean need Aether do to something again and he ask her what Is it that she wants Aether to do...The Dean then explains "Since the Familiar Choosing Event is nearing I want you to help me with something," she looks at Aether for a second and continued "I want you to create mechanisms which can measure the attack power when it's hit by a mana beast. I need a big amount of them too."
Aether who heard that stunned and replied "Uhh, mechanisms which can measure mana beats attack level? A lot in that? Are you kidding me?" The Dean who heard that replied "No, I am serious," Aether was a bit pissed hearing that and he suddenly taught of something "Don't you think you can use the mages to measure the mana beast attack level just like how the mages mana level were measured?" Aether got a point to argue with the Dean...
But the Dean has countermeasures for that too "Yes, that is indeed an easy way to do things too, but I am stubborn," Aether who heard that murmured "Stubborn?" The dean then smirks and says "You see many big faces are coming to this event, even the New King and Queen are showing up. Since that's the case we have to show everyone our academy's potential including the non-mages too...and for that, I need your mechanisms."
Aether listened carefully to the Dean's words and it was actually fair...We have to show our potential after all but "What about the Year 5 non-mages? Can't they do it?" Aether asks the Dean why she didn't ask the Year 5 non-mages to do this work and in reply, she answers "Do you think anyone could create mechanisms like that, only someone with strong knowledge can do it...As I know the Year 5 can do it but it will take time for them but as for you, I am sure you will be able to do it."
All the words the Dean spoke were true, not everyone can do what Aether could and for this Aether is also sure that the Year 5 non-mages won't be able to finish in time but so do Aether. "Fine I will lend a hand, but you know right, there are only three weeks left and I can't do all of them alone," It's true...even though Aether can create the mechanisms but he can't finish all of them that needed, he needs more manpower...
The Dean then thinks for a while and then voiced "Fine, you can ask your class to assist you, I will give compensation for everyone that lends a hand, 20 000 points per person," Aether who heard that screamed in his mind "Holy cow, 20 000 points...not a bad deal but," He then smirks at the Dean and speaks "Fine, but I don't want coins as compensation this time..." The Dean who heard that says "What?" She then mumbles to herself "What is he planning now."
Aether gives an evil smile and the Dean kind of regretted it now, Aether's face was telling like "YOU ASK FOR IT, HEHE," He then told the Dean what he wants as compensation. "I want a training room," He told that blankly to Dean and he mumbles to himself "Well the mechanical lab is being used by my classmates so I can't really use them, I want to try new things and I also have to train my magic and I need more wider space...my dorm is not enough."
The Dean after hearing that puts her hand on her head and voices "Brat, how did you even know about the training room," Aether who heard that..."What? there's training room here, lucky haha," The Dean feels like slamming her hand on the wall because Aether didn't even know about the training rooms and she exposed it herself..."Even if there's a training room, I have to reject it, I cannot give them simply," Aether already doubt about this so all he said was "Then I won't take this task you gave."
Aether then walks his way out of the office and the Dean didn't stop him...The Dean was stubborn for a while but then she shouted "Fine, I will give," Aether who heard from outside smiled and makes his way in back...The Dean then murmured to herself "This damm brat, why does he even want a training room anyway, besides not everyone in this academy can have that, he is the first one to hold his hand in one of the rooms...Even the Year 5 wasn't able to acquire them."
Aether after coming in back says "I want the biggest room, hehe," The Dean hearing that mumbles "This brat," and says "Yes, but all of them were designed for mages, is it okay?" Aether was actually even more than satisfied since he needed to practice his magic but he has to act normal so "Uhmm, well I don't mind I guess," He said that like he can adjust himself in there and the Dean was pissed but she controlled and talks "And one more thing Aether, this has to be a secret...if others know this, troubles will be knocking on the door, especially from Year 5."
Aether agreed to the condition and leaves the office...After a few steps he started mumbling "A new training room for me ahh, this is gonna be fun, hehe," After everything finished and Dean was alone in the office, she started muttering "I think at this rate, he will rob everything from this academy. Anyway, what do you think of him, Lisve?'
A mana beast appeared and it was an Owl, it was big and it has dark and light brown features...It can speak so it's an SS Rank mana beast...Its eyes were sharp and it looks like a beast which has read all the principles of the world...
After the Dean asks the mana beast the question, all it says was "Hmm," while nodding his head...
