Chapter 87: Artemis, Biance and Nico.
Castiel as a previously purey holy creature now had dual elements of Darkness and Holy. In the past Kurayami would have done everything in his power to keep the humans the blind. Things changed as he no longer cared if normal humans knew about them as many countries had already seen what was happening on the Moon.
It was possible to hide with magic, but the Supernatural races no longer wanted to do that. More and more of them started to follow Kurayami's ideas about being out in the open so they no longer tried to be quiet.
All over the world, more and more videos of Supernatural beings in the open were occurring. From Devils offering deals in the open, Fallen Angels recruiting people, or even monsters eating humans.
The world was descending into chaos, but Kurayami had not cared. Even now, satellites were capturing Castiel mid-flight, but he did not even bother to stop it. The American president was gaining white hairs the longer she saw what he was doing.
"Hey, Kurayami. When did you get Castiel?"
Thalia was holding on for dear life so he decided to answer. He also noticed she had a fear of heights and was trying to try to keep her eyes closed.
"4 years ago I would say."
Percy who was sprawled out looked up at him.
"How strong is he?"
Raynare saw it as a good opportunity to brag. Anything that made Kurayami look cool would make her look cool.
"Strong enough to destroy the world if he wanted. He is as strong as Tyrant who is a Heavenly Dragon."
Hearing that this was a world-destroying monster, made Elissa, Percy, and Thalia hold his fur a little less tightly. Kurayami stood up as they had arrived.
"Alright Percy, Thalia, and Elissa. Jump and kill the ugly manticore."
Percy looked down as carefully as he could, but Annabeth kicked him off.
"ARRAHHHH!"
Thalia and Ellisa were shocked, but a parachute stopped his fall. She shrugged as this was easy for her.
"What? My mother is the goddess of weaving, I can weave things together, now jump."
She pushed them off as well, but for Thalia this was hell. She was afraid of heights which Annabeth did not know. If Percy screamed she yelled bloody murder as she fell with the parachute.
Castiel watched as he started to lower himself down slowly.
"I think she was afraid of heights master."
Akeno started to fly in the air as she looked down at how she kept screaming.
"She is still screaming. How is she the daughter of the Lord of the sky?"
Zesshi looked down as it was a new sight for her. She could still see Thalia screaming bloody murder.
"Will she survive?"
Kurayami nodded.
"Don't worry. She will be just fine. Maybe a little angry."
Annabeth felt so embarrassed.
"I didn't know."
Castiel landed a small ways away as the three demigods finally landed on the ground. A giant manticore with the face of a man and a lion's body was attacking two kids. One of them was Bianca and the other was Nico.
Before its stinger could peirce either of them, a lightning spear from Thalia hit it on the face. She was still descending, but she controlled her fear for a second. Percy cut the strings of his parachute as he jumped in front of the two fearful demigods.
"I got this."
Water started to flow around his body as he had gotten a water magic manual from his father. He changed at the Manticore with his boosted body and slashed at its right leg. Riptide was a good weapon and it slashed open the limb causing rage to flow from the Manticore.
"DIE!"
He swatted at Percy, but Ellissa jumped in the air and punched him in the face. Kurayami and the girls all watched how they fought as it was good entertainment. Elissa was born with a unique body and it resulted in her physical gift.
Even Kurayami saw use in that so he was tempted to try to recut her for his death squad. While he was in deep thought Thalia jumped on its back and drove her spear deep into its back. Lighting cracked around her like snakes, but she was forced to jump off when the stinger nearly hit her.
Annabeth felt proud of her friend and Percy.
"They have improved? We would have had to save him otherwise."
Esdeath nodded.
"Last time, he was useless, but he is a bit less useless."
Kurayami smiled as they were honest.
"Just give him some credit. He is not like Jack, Clarise, or Annabeth who have tapped into their parent's abliites. He is doing well either way."
Castiel laid down and looked on.
"They will win in the end."
Thalia froze the manticore with Ageis before Percy stabbed Riptide in its paw. At that time Ellissa gave it a monster uppercut making them impressed.
"If she was training with us, she might be stronger than Clarise."
Thalia charged the monster and launched a bolt of lightning at Percy. He slashed at it with his sword and electrified it before he stabbed it into the ribs of the beast. Elissa kneed it in the face launching it backward slightly which made it curse.
Just as they were about to finish the Manticore they saw a helicopter appear out of the mist, hovering just beyond the cliffs. It was a black military-style gunship, with laser-guided rockets. The helicopter was being used by humans that were not part of the U.S military.
Lavinia looked at it with interest.
"Do we destroy it?"
He nodded.
"Go ahead, who wants it?"
Zesshi raised her hand and blasted it out of the sky with a death bolt.
"Weak."
This made the Manticore freeze and gave Percy the chance he needed. He drove his blade right into its heart. It roared in agony as it turned to dust. Percy took a deep breath as they finished something like that.
It left behind its hide that he took. He looked at Kurayami and his group who were still on Castiel's back.
"How did we do?"
Esdeath squinted her eyes as she looked at him.
"You actually worked well together. Keep it up and don't get cocky."
Hearing her praise him made him sigh in relief.
"Thank goodness."
Now Kurayami looked at Nico and Bianca. He knew their dad was Hades, but he was going to keep it quiet.
"So you two are the cause of all this."
They both did not know what to say as a giant tiger was looking at them from behind Kurayami's group. Just as they were going to question them, Kurayam spotted some new arrivals once again.
They were all women and they did not look happy to see the hide in Percy's hands. When Thalia saw them she glared at them, especially at Zoe. From the forest, archers came from the woods. They were girls, about a dozen of them. The youngest was maybe ten. The oldest, about fourteen. They wore silvery ski parkas and jeans, and they were all armed with bows.
Zesshi looked at Kurayami as she grabbed her scythe.
"Who are those weaklings?"
He patted her hair as he kept her calm.
"The hunt. Followers of Artemis."
Zesshi did not know who that was, but it must be a goddess. She was curious to fight against her, but that could wait. They advanced toward them with very annoyed looks. Zoe rushed forward and pointed and Percy with anger.
"That was not thee's prey."
Percy squinted his eyes as he held the hide tightly
"We fought for it and we killed it. Finders keepers."
Thalia walked next to Percy as she agreed.
"We killed it while you were late."
Lavinia looked at Kurayami as she wanted to know more.
"So what is the hunt exactly?"
Kurayami had heard this form Ares
"Ares said that Artemis has her band of hunters. All women and they pledge to be virgins forever and never fall in love."
Kuroka frowned at the thought as love was an important part of life.
"That's stupid."
He nodded.
"Very, but immortality is a good motivation to not have sex"
They shrugged as love was important to them. Well for Zesshi she could not get pregnant if she was a virgin. Zoe glared at Kuroka as she felt insulted.
"How dare thee speak that way of our oath."
Kuroka shrugged as her 4 tails wagged behind her. She could do as she wanted as she was strong and Zoe was weak.
"Swearing off love is stupid Nya. I would not give up my Kurayami for the world. As for you, I can see you need a man."
She hugged him tightly with a big smile on her face. A few archers raised their bows yet a young girl raised her hand. This was Artemis, Goddess of the hunt. She had bright silver hair gathered back in a ponytail, and eyes like the moon.
Her face was cold and seeing her made Shin wag his tail. She smelled nice which Kurayami had to agree on. She was beautiful, but her expression was cold and distant. She was trying to keep her hunters from getting killed.
"My hunters have made a pledge to me. I would offer you the name, but I am not about to try to take the hoard of a Dragon God. Greetings Lord Kurayami."
She gave a polite bow which shocked Zoe and the hunt. They had never seen her so respectful to someone else before. Hades and Nyx both had told them to treat him with respect so she did. She may not like most men, but she can be respectful when needed. He introduced himself as well.
"It is nice to meet you as well Lady Artemis. Your brother is one of my friends."
"Ares?"
He nodded.
"Talks a lot about you."
Artemi s glanced at the girls and felt they were all strong.
"Can I just ask if you would even join if Kurayami was not in the picture."
Kuroka shook her head.
"And give up my husband. No thanks, Nya."
Raynare nodded.
"No way, I have been engaged to him since I was a little girl and will not give that up."
Esdeath also refused.
"He is the reason I am alive and this strong. I won't give that up."
Zesshi waved her off.
"He defeated me and I had the oath to get pregnant from the one who did."
Akeno shook her head as well.
"I am also not pure so I could not do it anyway."
Lavinia just smiled.
"It's just not for me."
One after another they all rejected her and this made Zoe mad. They were all strong women and yet they were all marrying the same man.
"This is sick. All of thee don't need men."
Akeno giggled as she just thought she was pent up.
"Seems you need one and badly. 2,000 years without an orgasm must have made you sour."
They all laughed and Zoe looked ready to kill them. Artemis sighed at Zoe as she had no respect for stronger powers. That was a Dragon God and many beings that could kill them."
"Zoe, show respect. I will take your words as a personal offense if you do not apologize now. "
Zoe grit her teeth, but accept.
"I take back what I said, I am sorry."
When Thalia saw Zoe getting made fun of she broke out laughing.
"Zoe Nightshade. The 2000-year-old bitch that has never had a man. No wonder she is such a rude bitch."
Her voice was full of anger and it was clear to hear. Zoe glared at her as her vocabulary was still terrible.
"Thee is still as rude as before."
Artemis looked at Kurayami and his group.
"May I ask what you are doing back here."
Kurayami decided to explain as this was his vacation.
"I guess you can say we were invited by Percy to just have a quick trip. We were not going to stay long, but this is more interesting."
Percy had met Dionysus, but Artemis was a different story. She did not radiate powerful divinity or anything. She looked like a little kid.
"You. Your Artemis? You are a kid?"
Zoe stepped forward to smack him, but Artemis shook her head at her.
"No, I sense no disrespect, Zoe. He is simply confused as many believe I am young in this form. Like the black and white-haired girl."
Zesshi looked like she was 15, but she was actually 134. She did not react as it was part of her biology of being half-elf. Artemis formerly introduced herself with a polite bow.
"I am Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt. "
For the first time, Bianca spoke up.
"Hold up. Time out."
Everybody looked at her and it was scary as they all looked like dangerous people. Castiel was laying down, but it was still a winged, horned tiger. She pointed her finger at everyone as she was trying to connect the dots.
"Who… who are you, people?"
Kurayami coughed and introduced himself again.
"My mistake. I am Kurayami Himejima. Dragon God and beast tamer. Governor-General of Grigori. At your service. These lovely ladies with me are my finances. Kuroka, Annabeth, Natsume, Akeno, Esdeath, Raynare, Zesshi, and Lavinia."
Hearing him call her his fiance made Zesshi a little surprised. She thought she would just get pregnant and he would abandon her. She had underestimated the greed of a Dragona as he had no intention of letting her go.
The girls all bowed when he said their names to show who they were. Percy felt it was odd that he included Akeno, but something told him to not say a thing. They were gods and gods were famous for being into their family members/
Zoe glared at Kurayami with disgust while she looked at the girls with pity.
"Please thee need reconsider. Why be with such a man?"
Suddenly she felt something sharp and looked down. She saw two scythes on her neck and saw a Raynare and Zesshi threatening her. A thin line of blood was going down both of them as they had just barely cut her skin.
"Do not speak badly of Kurayami, how would you know the kind of man he is. Say one wrong thing about him and I will reap your soul."
"A weakling like you has no right to speak of his better like that."
Kurayami looked into Zoe's eyes as she felt like she could see his real form. I giant dragon covered in black armor shook her very soul. If that was not enough one of Raynare's eyes turned black as the other bright yellow like her grandfather.
She had inherited everything that made him the Angel Of Death and more. As for Zesshi her aura that had started to use Draconic mana went wild making Zoe want to back away. Artemis raised her hand to mediate.
"She meant no harm, for my sake please let her go. Zoe, I am disappointed in your conduct. You gave been forgiven twice and you have been shown mercy. Leave now, I will deal with you later."
Raynare nodded.
"Please, we will respect you if you return it."
Zoe grit her teeth as she knew that she was playing with fire. Any one of the girls could kill her, the hunt, and Artemis and she was just provoking them. Kurayami could just will for them to die and yet she was still alive.
"Forgive me
Both girls lowered their scythes and placed them on their backs. Artemis looked over to the shocked Bianca.
"It might be a better question, my dear girl, to ask who you are! Who are your parents?"
Bianca glanced nervously at her brother, who was still staring in awe at Artemis and Kurayami. He rushed to Kurayami and looked up.
"HEY! ARE YOU REALLY A DRAGON GOD! WHERE ARE YOUR WINGS?! WHAT CAN YOU DO?!"
Kurayami spread his wings and when they saw his 16 pairs of pitch-black draconic wings they felt pure power from them. Artemis looked impressed at the sight as she could feel limitless energy in those wings.
"I see why even Nyx and Hades decided to work with you."
Kuroka jumped and hugged him around the neck.
"My husband is great nya."
The hunters looked at this cat-eared girl with looks of disgust for being part of a harem. Kuroka stuck out her tongue and they drew their bows. From their shadows erupted huge amounts of swords, spears, and axes, and in the sky formed over a million spears of light, that crackled and burned.
It made everyone freeze and they put their bows down. Bianca suddenly shrieked in fear at the aura of a god coming from Kurayami. He smiled as this was just a show of force.
"Artemis, I think you let their egos rise too much. Have none of them been listening to keep bothering us? They drew their weapons and that can be seen as a offence."
Artemis fell to her knees to keep her hunters alive.
"Please, don't take it out on them. If you need someone to blame, blame me. I taught them wrong."
Kurayami shook his head.
"The fault of the servants goes to the servants. last chance Artemis, one more and they are all dying."
Bianca took deep breaths and calmed herself. She tried to explain so that they would not die.
"Our parents are dead so were orphans. There's a bank trust that pays for our school, but,"
She froze and it was obvious she was not sure herself. She saw Kurayami look at her with crossed arms.
"What, I'm telling the truth. "
Zoe spoke up to explain to her. She almost didn't as she had been too shocked/
"You are a half-blood,"
Zoe Nightshade said in her old-fashioned accent. It was like she was reading from a really old book.
"One of thy parents was mortal. The other was an Olympian."
Binaca was confused.
"An Olympian… athlete?"
Akeno shook her head.
"No. A god, a Greek god to be exact. Not the strongest, but gods nonetheless."
Nico being a kid was overjoyed.
"Cool!"
Kurayami patted him on the back.
"So cool."
Nico smirked as he felt the Dragon God was his friend, but Binaca was far from happy.
"No! This is not cool!"
Nico danced around like he needed to use the restroom. He grabbed Kurayami and shook him.
"Does Zeus really have lightning bolts that do six hundred damage? Does he get extra movement points for—"
Kurayami looked down.
'Dear God, he is possessed.'
Kurayami flicked him on the forehead and Nico held his forehead that was red. He was careful not to crack his skull like watermelon so Nico's forehead only stung.
"HEY! What was that for?"
Raynare laughed at the 10-year-old Nico.
"Because you were possessed. He saved you."
Nico pouted at her.
"I was not!"
Bianca needed quiet.
"Nico, shut up!"
Bianca put her hands to her face.
"This is not your stupid Mythomagic game, okay? There are no gods!"
Kurayami scoffed.
"So I and Artemis are just an illusion. How do you explain that?"
He pointed to the spears of light still in the sky and she sweated bullets.
"I don't know. Drugs, hallucinating, a bad dream. Maybe I am in a coma and this is all just a figment of my delusion."
Kurayami sighed.
"Being in denial is not good you know."
Lavinia was the calmest and nicest looking so she tried to explain.
"Bianca, I know it's hard to believe, but gods exist. So do Fallen, magic, dragons, and the supernatural. They sometimes have kids with mortals and produce you, but as you saw it is dangerous for the demigod."
Bianca thought of Percy and his partners fighting the Manticore.
"Dangerous? Like the Manticore."
Thalia and Artemis nodded
"Was supposed to be our prey, but Percy triumphed."
Kurayami shrugged.
"He has been training hard so an expected result. He did get help from Thalia and Ellisa though."
Nico raised his hand as he was curious.
"What about Dr. Thorn? That was awesome how you stabbed him in the heart! Is he dead?"
Kurayami was going to explain, but Artemis seemed to want to.
"He was a manticore. Hopefully, he is destroyed for now, but monsters never truly die. They're-form over and over again, and they must be hunted whenever they reappear. "
Percy sighed as he wished he had one of Kurayami's blades. Those things destroy souls. Bianca shivered as she remembered something.
"That explains it, Nico, you remember last summer, those guys who tried to attack us in the alley in DC?"
Nico nodded.
"And that bus driver, the one with the ram's horns. I told you that was real."
Percy coughed as it seemed it was a free-for-about who would explain.
"Bianca, we came here to help you. You and Nico need the training to survive. Dr. Thorn won't be the last monster you meet. You need to come to camp. "
Kurayami raised attention to himself.
"Or you can come with me. Plenty of demigods went to Nephilim and you can join us. Just like Annabeth, Clarise, Jack and many of them have unlocked the ower oft their parents."
Binaca seemed overwhelmed
"Camp? Nephilim. What?"
Percy shook his head.
"Ignore him Camp Half-Blood Is where half-bloods learn to survive and stuff. You can join us, stay there year-round if you like. "
Nico looked back and forth and moved next to Kurayami.
"I join Nephilim!"
Kurayami grinned as he liked the kid. If this is what having a kid was like then he wanted some of his own.
"Splendid, here's your student card."
Nico took it with shining eyes, but Bianca rushed to him and snatched it out of his hand. He looked down.
"Aww."
Bianca was pacing back and forth.
"Wait, I don't—"
As if to make it worse Zoe spoke.
"There is another option,"
Bianca looked about ready to pass out at how many offers she got already to join a supernatural group.
"HOW MANY OPTIONS ARE THERE?!"
Thalia got mad as Bianca was going to be poached by two rival groups.
"No, there isn't! Ignore the Dragon and the hunter's offer."
Thalia, Artemis, and Kurayami were locked in a three-way stare-off. Percy felt that Zoe and Thalia hated each other and Kurayami was trying to poach more demigods. Artemis clapped to try to get some peace.
"We've burdened these children enough. Zoe, we will rest here for a few hours. Raise the tents. Retrieve our guests' belongings from the school and allow Kurayami and the rest to come here. Do not offend them further. Any who does will be kicked from the hunt."
Zoe bowed.
"Yes, my lady"
Artemis looked at Binaca.
"And, Bianca, come with me. I would like to speak with you."
Nico raised his hand.
"What about me?"
Artemis thought about it before she knew what to do.
"Perhaps you can show Kurayami how to play that card game you enjoy or ask him about his pets. I'm sure he would be happy to entertain you for a while… as a favor to me? Please."
Annabeth frowned as she knew what Artemis was doing. Kurayami looked at Artemis and frowned.
"Translation. She is saying you are a boy and I am sexist and I hate all men. Please leave so I can steal your sister. Also please die as men do not deserve to live."
Artemis was shocked and shook her head.
"Just how badly do you think of me?"
Kurayami shrugged.
"Quite badly. Actions speak louder than words lady Artemis. You are greek and you don't have the best reputation. I think you killed all the kids of woman who bragged about how many kids she had. Unlike Hades and Nyx who are more honest, you have an ego. At least you know when to not use it.
The hunters did not even dare to antagonize him for the simple fact that he was a Dragon God. A Dragon God that had no equal in this world.
Artemis seems ashamed about something.
"No. That is not true."
He lifted his sunglasses and saw that she was being honest. She looked into his eyes and he saw she was being honest. She did not actually want men to die. she just didn't trust them.
"What do you know, you are serious. Fine, I trust you. I won't blame you for the choices she makes. They are all her own and the ball is not yours. Come, Nico, I will show you all my pets. This here is Shin."
Shin licked him in the face which made Nico curious. He walked away with Kurayami and the girls. Bianca looked at her sad brother and wanted to go to him, however, she just watched as Nico and Kurayami walked off toward the woods, talking about hit points and armor ratings and a bunch of other geeky stuff.
Also, she heard a few names and pets of Kurayami. A giant Dragon, a large horse, a huge black and gold lioness, a tiger deer creature and they all seemed to be surrounding Nico as they looked at him with interest.
Artemis looked down ashamed and led a confused-looking Bianca along the cliff. The Hunters began unpacking their knapsacks and making camp. Kurayami looked down at Nico and heard him speak up.
"Hey, Kurayami. Did you say take my sister? What do they mean?"
Kurayami sat down on a big rock while the girls sat around as they looked at Nico.
"The hunt is an all-female group where once you join you become immortal, swear off men, and never grow up. If she decides to join you will almost never see her again."
The girls looked at Nico who was just 10 as he looked down.
"She wouldn't abandon me, would she?"
Lavinia patted him on the back to comfort him.
"Take it from me. The ones you love may just be the ones who hurt you the most."
Annabeth sighed as she once loved Luke, but that was long gone. Nico sat down and was hopeful they were wrong.
"How strong is Shin?"
Kurayami ran his hand down Shin's back.
" Keep a secret, but he is a god killer. Like me."
Nico looked at the smug-looking dog and shook his head.
"No way."
Raynare laughed.
"Yes, way. He was made by God from the bible with a sword that killed a god and the first Werewolf."
They spent some time where Kurayami showed Tyrant, Zhang, Aurora, Castiel, and Blitz to him, and for some reason, they took to him immediately. Nico looked up at the huge dragon and had his eyes shine.
"YOU HAVE A DRAGON!? Arent you a Dragon God?"
Tyrant looked down and created out with hot air pushing Nico back. It made Nico look at Tyrant with shock and awe. He was so impressed with the dragon.
"A Dragon God like my master will rule other weaker dragons. I feel for you boy."
Kurayami patted him on the shoulder.
"Hey, you are a demigod and that means if you want you can maybe have your own dragon in the future. Maybe a Shadow Dragon."
Nico wanted a dragon to call his own and he was having a blast as Kurayami and his group were cool. The Hunters set up their camping site in a matter of minutes. Seven large tents, all of silver silk, curved in a crescent around one side of a bonfire. One of the girls blew a silver dog whistle, and a dozen white wolves appeared out of the woods.
It caught Kurayami's eye, but he liked his pets more. They began circling the camp like guard dogs. A few of them looked at Shin who looked like a guy who had just seen Vegas.
The Hunters walked among them and fed them treats, completely unafraid. Falcons watched from the trees, but a single screech growl from Castiel sent them flying. Kurayami leaned back against Castiel and looked around.
"Let's see if there will be any reason to stay here longer. Let's hope they do not annoy me further or I will kill them all."
