Chapter 3: Kira Larkinson
After settled in his new room, Kira start thinking about his plans for future, especially what he need to do in these 4 years.
'Hmm, my greatest advantage is the system and what i knew from the novel, to get the most benefits out of this, i need to lay low and don't mess up the plots, but i can't stay too passive too, with all of these advantage, i can achieve great things that my previous live can only dream of.'
'In this universe i need real power to survive and not caught into the protagonist's madness. To do that i need my own organization, with riches and military might. So first thing to do is to become a mech designer, then again i need to stay low key until Ves become a prominent Journeyman Mech Designer and his LMC company become the limelight of the public. It's best if I can stay low-key till the Red Ocean rush too.'
'So frustrating, if i'm not a high ranking Mech Designer and have my own company to sell lot of Mechs then i won't have enough cash for my plans. Right, i should make my own Mercenaries Corp, i can build my own mechs and have my Corp make use of them, it would be a perfect advertise for my mechs too. Hmm, that's the gist of it, for now i should focus on building knowledge about making mechs. I need to get some Reader Points and see how useful this Reader System is, let's try reading some virtual books.'
Kira open his learn-station and check all the virtual books it has, even though this is considered the best primary school of the Republic, it's after all only a 3rd rate state at galaxy's rim, the level of technology and what knowledge it can provide to the 'elite kids' are somewhat limited. After surfing all the books, Kira found out there are only basic knowledge of all basic subjects, from math, physic, chemical to computer science…. There's no book about Mech design or business related.
After some thinking he decided to start with math, with his matured mind, he easily finish the book after 1 hour.
'So this basic knowledge comparable to high school level in my old life. It's really futuristic when that much knowledge now considered primary kid level, I should see how many points I get from this.'

'Oh i have 110 RP now, aside from Spirituality, status that's less than 1 have (+) indicated i can use RP to improve, and it cost 100 RP to improve 0.1 point. This LIBRARY tab is new, look like all books i read will be list here, "Your 1st book" give me 100 RP, so the remaining 10 RP should be from reading [Basic Math], and it is classified at [Basic Mathematics 3rd-rate] in system library.'
'Even though i got RP from reading the book but there's no change to my skills, look like i have to actually comprehend the knowledge to improve my skills. There is no other use of RP for now, maybe there will be change when i rank up?'
With some consideration, Kira decided to improve his Endurance and start binge reading the virtual books in his Learn-station. After 5 hours of reading, adding Basic Physic, Basic Chemical, Basic Mechanics, Basic Computer Science, Basic Electrical Engineering to his library he has to stop as his room-mate finally arrive.
Enter the room led by the same teacher before is a boy with blond hair and green eyes with similar height with Kira.
"Hello, Nice to meet you, I'm Valerius Messala. You sure are hardworking, start studying even before the school start."
"Hi there, i'm Kira Larkinson. Are you from that "Messala" family?"
From what Kira know from his body previous memories, Jonathan once told him about the Republic founding, plus what he knew from the original novel, there were 17 families that funded the colonization and founded the Bright Republic, but now there's only 5 remaining family. The Tovar and Ramzi are known for their political powers and rivalry, The Cavendish is known for their grip on The Mech Corps, The Numis is known for their economic might, while the Messala is known for their shipbuilding, in fact the Messala control over 70% of the Bright Republic ship building industry and 90% of the Mech Corps ships were commissioned to the Messala.
"Yes, 1 of the 5 remaining founding families of our state. Ah, but i'm just a branch family member. I know your Larkinson family too, you are very famous, all kids i know envy how you guys can interact with expert pilots daily. How does that feel living among demigods?"
"Oh, i don't interact with Venerable Benjamin that much so i don't know (Meh, i only transmigrated here for 2 days, how can i know? It's really the Age of Mech, all kid idolized strong Mech Pilots)."
"How i wish i have a chance to meet an expert pilot. My family's main house have expert pilots visit them occasionally, but i have never been there."
"I can bring you to Larkinson Compound when we have chances, if you want to."
"Nice, i'd love that, you can visit my house too. Even though it's only the Branch Mansion."
*Cough* The forgotten teacher finally has enough with this kid bantering.
"That's enough of chat chit for now, you kids should get ready for dinner at the Mess Hall. The principal will have his speech to welcome you kids."
"Oops, we are very sorry Sir."
"You can call me Mr.Timber, i'll teach you kids Math in the future. Now get prepare and meet up in the Mess Hall in 30 minutes."
"Yes Sir." "Yes Sir".
'Look like i have more options for my plans. Shipbuilding is a must in the future, even though they are only 3rd raters but beggar can't be chooser. I need to adjust my view too, it's important to lay foundations first no matter how insignificant they will be in the future. I should try to get as many potential recruits as possible.'

30 minutes later.
Kira and Valerius enter the Mess Hall and look for their respective seat. To cemented their image as an elite school catered to the Elitist Children, there is only 600 students, 150 for each grades with 5 classes each.
After all of the kids have their seats, the principal stand up and start his speech.
"Prestigious Children. Welcome to this humble Ritterburg Brightlight Primary school. I'm Samuel Tovar your principal….."
"Do you know that old man is already 120 years old" - Valerius whisper to Kira
"Really? He looked like he's only 50 or so, did he already has his life prolonged treatment?"
"Yes, that's what my father told me, he studied here when he's my age too."
'No wonder the Tovar is so powerful, they established this school for elitist children to socialite potential politic partners and reinforced their influence sphere.'
After Samuel's 20 minutes boring and sleep inducing speech, the kids finally can have their feast which comparable to 5 stars restaurants. The school make sure to give the Republic's future leaders the best treatment possible, and the foods all rich in nutrition which is helpful for body development.
'Being rich and powerful is great, I feel like my stats can increase just by eating these meals for 4 years.'
