Chapter 3: STRANGER IN A STRANGE PLACE
"Is that, Is that Cleveland?" he thought
Seeing so many lights reminded him of his mother and the stories she had once told him.
It was almost like he could still hear her soft voice telling him a story at night. Sometimes she had chosen stories like Rapunzel and Prince Charming.
These stories were always boring to him but he still missed her and her beautiful voice, she had been a singer who had traveled the world to show the people her talent.
He usually wasn't that interested in singing but he had read stories about explorers and things that they have discovered.
He had loved this. But through this John Qin had always had a feeling of the unknown power beneath him, he had also had a feeling that something or someone or some power was missing.
Then suddenly he felt a wave of something, something he recognized but he could understand, something had changed in him.
Now, he had to eat, he had come close to getting food last night but hadn't succeeded, he has resorted to the only option that he had, stealing the food, As he was sneaking to a nearby shop, hoping to get something out of it, An Idea suddenly popped to his head.
" The community center," he thought
"Why hadn't I thought of that before," he said as he searched for the community center.
He had heard from a strange-looking guy that it closed at five o'clock in the evening.
"That means I have only five minutes," he said as he raced his way through the people walking on the streets. He had been a critical runner who knew how to escape tricking situations.
"I made it," he said, "Just in time" he added as he joined the long line.
"At last," he said as he smiled, even though he had a place to sleep still, he felt like there was something that he recognized, he often got this feeling when he sang a special song that his mom had taught him, but not just anywhere.
"Ouch" screamed John after stabbing his toe against his bed earlier in the morning. Now that's another day added to his journey, he had decided to explore Cleveland to its fullest.
So busy last night, he had seen how beautiful Cleveland truly is, while walking in the park he had barely escaped a fight, he had always had a bag filled with equipment and memories.
He had seen a rich and proud man drop his wallet, he had picked it up and was still thinking about what to do, but before he could make a decision, the man appeared with two muscular bodyguards, he had barely escaped being beaten down.
Then everything blacked out.
"Wow that was quite a trip," said the others in the room
They were in the year 7089, they were secret groups called the Adventurers who were on a mission to bring back what was in the past.
Their world was being controlled by a man named Kevin Qin. he and John Qin had been brothers long ago before he had decided that the world was an imperfect place and the missing thing was a ruler, he had become an inventor and forced everyone under his rule.
John Qin had been sent to discover what that feeling was but to do that he had to go through some challenges from the old world, they had used a machine called Zor, this machine was built from specific parts that John and the Adventurers had managed to create.
In this revolutionized place, the major way of transportation was using a specified ship called Zions, Zions were like cars but traveled in the air. John Qin's team consisted of 4 members.
The first member is a girl named Join, she is the tough one who misses the old earth but is too afraid to say it because she is too afraid that it will affect her tough girl character.
The next member was a guy named Jass, he was a former singer who had loved singing, but now in this world, singing is forbidden, hence, he joined in order to bring back music.
The third member is also a guy named code, Code is a computer geek who knows almost everything there is about computers, he had been very lonely and afraid his entire life, he joined to show Join that he is a strong guy, hence he has a huge crush on her and has tried countless times to impress her but it often doesn't work and backfire.
The fourth member is John Qin himself, who was sent back into his own story to find out what the missing piece is and use it to stop Kevin Qin.
Meanwhile, Kevin Qin is working on a machine to connect all the other planets to his rule, he had been working on it but he needed the pieces from long ago, he had got most of it except for the one missing piece.
John Qin is trying to get it before Kevin Qin does in order to stop Kevin from connecting the world under his rule.
"That a 2 days work" sighted John Qin when he was told that they will have to resend him, then suddenly, Another Idea popped into his mind.
"What if" he started as the others listened on curiously, waiting for him to finish his sentence.
