Chapter 14: Freya vs Assassins!

"Hello, my master. I am Freya, an Angel and I am your loyal World Spirit."

Freya's elegant and soothing words had took Damon out of his stunned state. Damon looked at Freya's absolutely stunning appearance and immediately began channeling his Aether, calming his mind down as he stared at her. Freya's beauty was so exceptional that she had unconsciously stunned Damon for a couple seconds.

In those few seconds, Freya had slithered herself closer to Damon, wrapping her arms around Damon's arm, her volumptous assets pressing against Damon's arm.

"Ahh Master. I had heard legends about Aether, but experiencing it is better. Even being near you is purifying my Spirit Energy and slowly turning it into Aether, improving my strength and talent quantitatively." Freya's charming voice echoed into Damon's ear.

Damon blushed slightly and nodded, "What level is your strength at?" Damon asked in curiousity.

"As you know, when a World Spirit contracts to a human, their strength is restricted according to the Human's current Realm and talent. The higher the Talent, the higher the amount of strength the World Spirit keeps. My strength is currently at the Middle Stage of the Spirit Apprentice Realm, but my strength may return as you grow stronger Master. However fret not, even with my sealed cultivation, my strength is still increasing due to my Spirit Energy evolving into Aether." Freya said as her eyes curiously glazed all over Damon's handsome body.

Damon nodded and was about to speak, yet he felt an aura appearing near his body and immediately left the World Spirit Space, cutting his talk with Freya short.

As Damon opened his eyes and gazed around, he could spot the previous 4 assassins who had previously chased him. However, Damon could also sense a couple of unidentified assasssins in the shadows.

"It took us alot of energy and resources to catch up to you..Just DIE!" The viscous voice of the female assassin rang out in the erriely silent surrounding area.

-WHOOSH!

Two assassins who were hiding in the shadows revealed themselves and lunged at Damon venomously from different sides. Their daggers coated with deadly poison and slashed at Damon ferociously. Damon however, had already known about these hidden Assassins, and immediately moved to the left, dodging the attacks of the assassins.

Damon immediately whipped out his dagger, kicking the Assassin on his right in the shin, sending him to his knees and then slashed hurriedly, shopping off the assassin's head.

~SLICE~THUD~

The eerie sounds of the assassin dying echoed around the surrounding area, yet it didn't seem to deter the attacking assassin at all. Damon dodged two more slices from the second assassin, and shifted his center of gravity, sending an attack to his left before grabbing the Assassin's wrist.

"Πάγωμα." Damon whispered, the chill of frost emitting from Damon's hand as he froze the assassin's wrist, causing him to hiss and drop the poison coated dagger due to the surprising pain the assassin felt. Damon immediately gripped the dagger mid air from falling and sliced the assassin's abdomen, a deep gash appearing that poured out blood and sent the enemy to his knees.

Yet Damon wasn't fazed and chopped off the enemies head, killing him and sending him to rot in hell. However, the fight was still not done. More assassins appeared and attacked Damon from all directions, a certain ferocity in their eyes.

However, before these assassins could arrive near Damon, a terrifying coercion spread out with Damon as the center. A gigantic World Spirit Gate covered in heavenly light appeared above Damon.

A voice filled with disdain sounded out of the gate.

"You bugs want to kill my master, have you asked me?"

~BOOM~

The terrifying coercion caused a mini-earthquake in the surrounding area and a Empire-toppling beauty appeared from the gate. It seemed as if all synonyms for beautiful could not describe her.In front of her, it seemed that all the beautiful words in the world could not describe her.

"ZiZZ!" Freya raised her right hand elegantly, and the brilliant golden light radiated from her body alongside a tyrannical purple lightning. The two elements combined, forming a terrifying golden lightning. Freya slashed across her body quickly.

In an instant, a humungous eye of Golden Lightning appeared in front of everyone. The Eye of Golden Lightning flashed as Freya slashed across her body, a multitude of terrifying and tyrannical lightning strikes emitted from the eye flashed and smashed into the attacking assassins.

The various Assassins who had rushed forward were burnt black, the golden lightning piercing through the body with ferocious speed and deadliness, killing them and burning them to ash instantaneously. Those who survived were shocked with both fear and admiration of Freya's terrifying strength.

Meanwhile, Damon had simply stepped back, wanting to watch the show that was presented in front of him.

"Be purified by the Heavenly Lightning!" Freya's pure voice rang out as she releasted another attack. This attack involved a series of quick and precise strikes of lightning that immediately overwhelmed the enemies as the attacks increased in speed, power and variety with time. More and more Assassins were burnt to ash as they died after being struck by Freya's terrifying Golden Lightning.

"-_-" The leader of the Assassins, the Female Demi-Human, simply couldn't understand what she was witnessing. The information she was given detailed that although Damon have unseen levels of talent, he had next to no combat power as he hadn't had a long time training since awakening. Yet not only was Damon able to single handedly kill multiple Assassins, he now contracted a World Spiritist that managed to single handedly decimate her forces, it was ridiculous.

"USE THE BESERK POTIONS! KILL HIM!" The female Demi-Human commanded as she and everyone else immediately took out a red potion. The Beserk Potion was an illegal potion that increases the attack power and bloodlust of anyone who uses it, and completely removes the feeling of pain or fear from a person. However, one the potion's effects is completed, the person becomes crippled and their intelligence becomes lower than a 4-year old.

"Kill! KILL HIM!"

"ATTACK AHAHAHHA!"

The assassins all began emitting a crazy amount of killing intent as they rushed at Damon with ferocious speed, nothing but killing Damon in their minds.

Damon frowned as he saw this. Beserk Potions had been outlawed hundreds of years ago, and no-one could get them without very deep connections to the black market. Damon knew that these assassins had to have some serious backing and connections and that it would take a long time if he would ever root them out. Damon suddenly thought about different movies in his past life and decided to ask himself a question.

"Why don't I just control the underworld?" Damon thought to himself, realizing how powerful he would become due to this plan. Yet Damon knew it would take a long while before he could overthrow the Underworld Kings and needed a proper plan. Damon eventually buried that thought into the back of his mind, focusing on the fight in front of him.

"Spiritual Expulsion!" Freya casted, a shockwave of her Spirit Power emitting from her body, crashing into some of the assassins and annihilating their souls directly, killing them. However, this didn't stop the other assassins as they neglected the deaths of their allies and continued the ferocious attack on Damon, determined to kill him.

Freya flapped her wings as she floated in the sky, a ferocious storm of wind appearing due to the flaps. Then, suddenly, a gigantic magic array appeared on the ground, and a pillar of light shot out of the ground, enveloping the attacking enemies. Countless chains of light appeared and bound some of the assassins, who couldn't break free from it no matter what.

Then, the mana in the surrounding area grew restless as Freya began chanting her next spell. A terrifying amount of mana gathering in the surrounding area which caused a shock to everyone. A gigantic magic array appeared and suddenly, a 50 meter long sword of Heavenly Lightning descended from the skies towards the enemies.

As the heavenly lightning sword flew towards the ground, the space in the surrounding area trembled slightly and the attack crashed into the ground.

~BANG~BOOM!

A terrifying implosion erupted in the surrounding area, shaking the entire forest due to its power. As the smoke cleared and the dust settled, a massive crater filled with the blood and body parts of the assassins appeared, signifying all of their deaths.

Freya gently glided onto the ground and hugged Damon, a pure and gentle smile on her face contrasted her ruthless looks during battle as she didn't bat an eye killing for Damon.

"Did I perform well Master." Freya whispered into Damon's ear with her charming voice that quickly make Damon channel his Aether once more to calm his body down.

Damon nodded as he looked at Freya, very satisfied with her performance.

"I hope I get to batte for you more Master." Freya said, gently kissing Damon on the cheek before her body turned into light, disappearing back into the World Spirit Space as she began cultivating, using the Aether Damon's body provided to transform her energy to Aether, which would qualitatively improve her power.

Meanwhile,Damon had looked around and sighed. Freya's tyrannical attack had annihilated basically everything, leaving Damon nothing to loot and no way to find out who sent these assassins after him.

Damon quickly ran off into the distance, hurrying towards the nearby Military Base.

After 10 minutes of running Damon stopped. Gazing into the distance where he saw two people standing and waiting for him.
