A flash similar to the northern lights that can be seen in the coldest countries appeared but this glow was far from icy. In one breath, Edward had illuminated the entire room blindly allowing the only humans present to finally see where they were in more detail. After hours and hours spent without visibility, despite the situation it was liberating, however...the sight was much less so.

Dozens of insects were clustered in more than one part of the cave, not to mention the slimy wall infested with cockroaches swarming in every direction in panic. At the contact of the fire, they had all started to make a strident sound pushing Kali to plug her ears in a grimace of suffering. Some ants were burning, others were not, but one thing was sure, the pirate with the red beard now smoking, had just created confusion.
