Chapter 15: The Miracle called 'Magic' Part 1

Finally done with my quirk hunt, I decided to proceed with the next thing on my must-do list, and that is to learn Magic. Indeed I have Skills that are superior form to their corresponding Magic, but they aren't as versatile as Magic is, not to mention in some verses some beings become Multiversal level of existence simply by mastering Magic and taking it to the pinnacle.
This path of power has a lot of potential and unlimited growth, there is no way I can leave it out now given the chance, and truth to be told, I had always imagined myself as becoming a powerful caster who can destroy universes with some spells. It was too far-fetched of a thought but well, that's just how it is and I am sure to reach that level one day.
However, it is better to leave such lofty goals aside for now and focus on small goals and the first one will be trying to learn magic. I technically do know magic as my elemental skills are evolved forms of Elemental Magic, however in the truest form they aren't magic but abilities equivalent to magic, in a superior way derived from the laws of the Tensura verse.
Thus, I am gonna start with the basics, Currently, I am in a secluded area of a thick forest, and I have cleared a bit of area around me which makes it perfect for my practice. I also had asked Great Sage to hack satellites and prevent them from taking any footage of mine, at least the ones passing above me hundreds of kilometers above way beyond the Karman line.
Again, to achieve this I had to bring a pretty powerful laptop with me, that had unlimited cellular data a huge battery life, and so on. Now that I have no fear of getting dead by the overconsumption of my Magicules, I am all ready, and it's time to begin!
' Great Sage channel the magicules throughout my body ', I said to her,[Proceeding with the channeling of Magicules], replied and I felt a warm current running throughout all my body. It was strengthening me as a whole but again it was very different than my crude way of strengthening my body.
I started forming a mental image of water, a circular water ball, completely blue, and pure. I put my hand forward and channeled the coursing magicules through my slime body, outside my hand, and urged them to form a ball of water. It was no easy task learning the magic, but for me who had Great Sage and a Water manipulation ability, the failure was impossible.
Thus a huge ball of water manifested above my palm, and I opened my eyes looking at the gathering water with excitement, and then Urging it to compress, I decreased its volume and then sprayed forward like a jet of water. It pierced through several trees demolishing them, and crumbling them down to Earth.
I breathed heavily looking at the tens of trees that I had brought down with my attack. A laugh escaped my mind, as the realization dawned upon me what I had achieved. It was much simpler than anything else I had achieved till now. For a being who can literally twist space to my whim, this was something not worthy of celebrating but the joy of achieving it with my imagination and purely on my Magical energy.
[Report! I have assisted the master to accomplish this task], said Great Sage crashing down my fantasies and recalling me the reality. I sighed and said,' Sure, it's not like I was gonna take your credit anyway ', Then I glanced at the sky above me and said," Anyway! That's not what it matters, I have a lot of time to master magics, let's continue with simple elemental magics and then approach the uncharted territory!".
Thus, my grinding began, and this time I was hellbent on learning the method that could bring Miracles.

A few weeks passed by, and during this time I was not only trained by All Might who despite what happened fulfilled his promise of training me but I also trained in my Magical aspects, I mastered Wind Magic, Water Magic, Fire Magic, Earth Magic, and Thunder Magic making it as easy as breathing to me, and that took literally very low effort since technically I have already mastered them before just by having the Skill versions of them.
Now, I am finally approaching the magic that isn't gonna be that easy to master. It needs me to know a lot of technical, scientific, and magical things to know to be able to perform it. Yes, it is Projection Magecraft from Moon Type. A seemingly common magecraft assumed to be quite useless, only for Shirou to show what it is really capable of.
My interest in this Magecraft simply lies in the fact that it can create temporary powerful Magical constructs capable of even blasting a city. The reason I wish to learn this magic is simply to have a weapon. This world does have some superpowerful alloy but nothing that would fill the basic requirements I have a weapon.
Not to mention, making some Magic conducting material like Magic ore would take years to form under the direct exposure of my Magicules. Of course, I have begun making them by storing tonnes of mineral ores in my stomach and exposing them to my Magicules. If my Magicules were dense and high enough then it should have taken just a few weeks to a few months to form.
But I am a person lacking Magicules for my every need, I have to use Magicules to survive, to use my Skills, to learn, practice, and to use magic. To fill up the special secret room I have made to grow a small and limited amount of Hipotuke herbs and only then does the remaining one get exposed to the material stored in my stomach, and it is as thin as one would expect them to be, making Great Sage conclude it will take several years, decades or even centuries for Magic ore to form.
Thus, I need some alternative till then, which will be my Projection of Magecraft. Now, back at my secret training place, fully technology-proof. I started my attempt to manifest a solid block of iron but I failed. I re-attempted tens of times but every time my Magicules would go 'poof' and dissipate in the air. Finally, I sighed and said," Great Sage, this time you try to do it! ".
[Proceeding with the order, asking Permission for the take over of the body?], she asked and I replied without thinking much,' Permission granted ', Then I felt my body going out of my control and moving on my own. I could see everything and even felt that I could take control over my body if I wished so, but it made sense, in the end, Great Sage was me.
She was technically a part of my skill given some runic form to achieve a certain process. In the truest sense, Great Sage was literally me. Thus I can take over it back as I please, since just as how brain is the master of the body, soul nuclei is the master of the soul. Anyway, I continued looking at Great Sage's attempt of trying to materialize magicules into a solid projection of Iron block.
[Attempt Failed], she said in a mechanical voice in my mind as she failed in her goal, and did a reattempt.

I could feel my Magicule reserves being depleted by 40% till this point and constant reminders of Great Sage of failed attempts, but suddenly a block of Iron materialized in front of me, though only for a brief moment before fading away into the air like a mist.
{Skill: Projection has been acquired!}
The Voice of the World declared to me about the skill I had just been granted. I took control back over my body and stood up excited," Now it's done, it's time to explore just how far I can go with it, Thanks for your help Great Sage", I said feeling a bit weirded thanking myself, but since Great Sage had a separate will even if it was robotic for now, I considered her feelings.

I could literally feel her being unable to reply in this condition, as she didn't have any emotions. I didn't fret over it any longer, and quickly materialized a steel knife on my hand and then glanced at it. Then moving towards a tree, I swung it on it, and then it cleanly cut through its trunk.
Then I looked at my knife only a bit deformed, and using a minuscule amount of Magicules I repaired it easily. It was worth noting that I was actually using the Skill that I had gained rather than approaching the magical method, since not only did it give me a good understanding of Projection so that I could approach it in a Magical way.
' Still, the Tensura verse is broken ', I thought, since Skill basically meant a carving on the soul to achieve or perform various phenomena in the world. The Voice of the World granted a skill on various occasions and one of them was to perform a feat worthy of being equal to a skill, at least once, then the Voice of the World would grant a skill for it to the achiever.
In simple words as long as one performed an ability once, he would be granted a peak mastery of it by the Voice of the World the next moment, literally, no effort in taking it to the peak was needed as everyone was served on a silver- no a golden platter. The reason why becoming a Multiversal being was so easy for Rimuru.

' Although I don't necessarily need to master magic, as I can go the Skill route all the way, again- It is a necessary development I must have. Relying solely on a single type of power path may come to bite me in the future not to mention seeing the same thing but in a different way will broader my horizons and make me even stronger ', I thought with determination, as I dematerialized the steel knife and then attempted to materialize it not using my Skill.
Thanks to the feeling engraved in my soul it was much easier, and this time I successfully manifested a Steel knife on my first attempt without failing though it took considerable effort and time as compared to my previous attempt. Then I again used it on a tree slicing through its thick trunk and succeded to cut it down as well again this time.
But the knife broke in the end and automatically dematerialized. I took a deep breathe not a bit disappointed by what I had achieved. ' I can continue with my practice tomorrow, it's already late and I should return home, to take a mental rest and let my magical reserves refill ', I thought, I had no idea of my Magicules ever falling down 50% of my reserves as it was a necessary precaution I must always take.
No matter how bright this world of heroes looked from the front, dangers lurked within the shadows and who knows I would be suddenly attacked by a villain any moment thus having enough Magicules will insure not only my safety but my topmost priority, my survival. Thus, I took my Laptop and quickly departed from my training place.
Once I reached home, I took a bath just for mental satisfaction, then ate some tasty food which again were turned into Magicules, and then started drawing a new chapter of the manga that I was gonna release. It was the famous story, ' The Rising of the Shield Hero ', I smirked and thought,' I wonder how people are gonna react to this '.
Thus with my interesting plans, and a manga that was out of the norm of this world things would become more interesting.
