Chapter 1: What's the Truth?
*Do you get the feeling that you have forgotten someone significant in your life and are attempting to remember them? I can also feel it, I always feel it has been a couple of years that have passed and I didn't exist those years. But, do you believe also in fantasy that makes your life change? I've found my soulmate—a person I met in an unfamiliar place. Sadly, I can't remember it, and I also can't recall the name of the person whose face is obscured.*
"Congratulations David Liciente and Gwen Dio for getting the highest score for this last quarter's examination" The pupils are applauding as the professor congratulates them and hands them the paper.
On the other hand, David regarded his test results. He scraped the paper over his emotions and sensations while staring at his teacher. "This is bullshit!" The students around him retreated as he stood up. "This is stupid!" He shouted out of frustration and anguish as he remembered all that happened.
"Watch your mouth!" the professor yelled back at him, "Mr. Liciente, where are your manners?!" and the other students were all taken aback and surprised by his behaviour. "What's the problem?" the professor questioned as she walked up to him.
David gave her an angry expression as if he wanted to smack her in the face and said, "Why don't you ask yourself? Do you want me to tell them—" "Don't make any mess," the teacher warned him. Nothing more is left for David to do but to be quiet and keep his mouth shut. He took a deep breath and let it out as he lowered his head, "Yeah" he smirked, "I can't do anything"
"Class, return to your seats," Gwen said as the room went silent. She gave the order, and the students complied by returning to their seats. The lesson continued till it was over.
After a lengthy lecture, the sky has already become dark and the clouds have turned gloomy. As soon as the bell rang, David hurried to the rooftop. "I don't want to live this sort of life any longer, and they abandoned me, therefore I want this to end." David sobbed uncontrollably and wept. He felt burdened by his sentiments of grief, as if his heart had been crushed yet he still had to carry the pieces that remained.
Gwen followed him after spotting David about to fall from the building. Gwen hug him and reassured his boyfriend, saying, "David, it's okay, please stop."
He yanked her hand away from him and shoved her away, yelling, "Get away from me! Don't come near me!" He gave her an unpleasant look as if she had done something horrible, "you--"
Gwen interrupted him by speaking louder, "You always look for them and consider them constantly. How about me? Do you consider and care about me as well? Do you actually love me?" her voice sounded hoarse as tears falls down her cheeks. "I don't know how to comfort you, to make you smile, to make you happy, despite our recent relationship, you frequently consider someone else, someone you can hardly remember.… I was by your side as you slept for several days in the hospital. As your lover and as your family, I looked after you." she cried and continued "I'm sorry but I think It's over" David remained silent, and didn't look at her as she walked away.
He felt weary and had empty thoughts. David looks around and notices that it is about to start raining. "How come this--" David cried, wiping away his own tears. "W-why the sky, the clouds watching me right now? Do you all feel bad for me? Do you feel sorry for me right now? Don't rain. Thousands of people are going to suffer homelessness and severe flooding. You should not rain just because I'm the reason for your sadness and feeling bad." David laughed in desperation. "Come on" As the rain started to fall, the thunderstorm began to tremble.
"So stubborn, then… let's end this life" He jumped off the building without hesitating. As soon as he closed his eyes, he instantly remembered the moments he had shared with his soulmate. Finally, he could recall its name and face.
"Xinhua"
[FLASHBACK]
"What do you think of me?" David asked the person right in front of him "S-soulmate" the person answered him and suddenly someone approached them "Aji!!! Wen!!!" a girl came carrying three alcohols "whoooo- the store is so far but here's your alcohol!!!" She happily gave the alcohol and the three of them had a happy moment.

"Wake up! David Wakeup!!!" When David opened his eyes and glanced around, he noticed that he was still in the classroom.
"Dude---YOU'RE CRYING?!" the person who wakes him laughs out loud "Dude, you're having a nightmare huh? Ms. Trillanor is on her way!" Tricio yelled directly in his ear. "We're having an exam today on her so….did you review the lesson…. Because... me? No need to ask cuz' I have you" he chuckled as he flew a kiss before returning to his seat.
After a few seconds of drifting and trying to recall his dream, David finally responded. "Shit! I forgot" He swore and turned around. "Oi Tricio! I didn't review since I was so exhausted last night that I forgot to study, and she didn't even remind us!
"Then," he thinks deeply, "Then, let's do the Ninjacky method!" He responded cheerfully, thinking that method would be exciting.
"What?! We did it last quarter and only received 10 out of 100 points! NO! Knowing it won't work, I won't try again" David remembered those moments while gripping his head with both hands.
"Then, let's try it one more time maybe luck—"Tricio was cut off by Gwen who was seated next to him. "Uh Uh Uh, are you guys still kids? Despite always being in class, how come neither of you can recall any of the lessons?" Gwen sighed.
"But what are you going to expect us?" David and Tricio exchanged glances as they both gave a 'nothing' gesture by shrugging, As they both laughed out loud, the teacher and another person entered the room.
"Okay, Good Morning Class! We have a new student" she pointed to the person next to her. All the boy students were surprised after seeing a new girl.
"Tricio, I think this is mine" David confidently whispered
"No, she is definitely mine" Tricio confidently answered
"No, I don't have someone sitting beside me, therefore I believe she will seat here" David indicated the vacant seat next to him.
"No~" Tricio grumbles after knowing his failure.
Trio received a little backslap from Gwen, "Aw!!" Tricio groaned "Eh, you still have me" She shows the answer sheet--a cheat that made Tricio amazed, and gave her a playful kiss on her cheek. "Ew," Gwen glanced as she regarded him.
"Hi I'm Milk Flores, I'm good at photography please take care of me" She made an introduction. She has a white complexion, short, silky brown hair, cat-like eyes, and lips with the shade of a fresh rose. Her appearance drives males to gaze at her from head to toe.
"Okay, proceed to choose any seat you like" David was feeling uneasy when Milk walked up to an empty seat next to him.
"Hi, do you mind If I sit here," Milk asked him, "O-of course" He hesitated and gulped, she is about to sit when someone called her, "Milk! Sit with me" After failing to tempt Milk to sit next to him, David glared furiously at her classmate. "Nuisance!" David murmured, Tricio laughed at him for not getting Milk on his seat aside.
"Okay Class, pass the test paper at your back, and Goodluck with your Exam!"
After two days, everything went smoothly, and Milk and David are getting along better. "Milk! T-take this" David gave the hairpin he bought.
"David, I-I—" David cut her, he put the hairpin on her hair slowly "Y-you're Beautiful" David got star-struck by her beauty, and he touched his chest and found his heart pounding rapidly. *Sh-she's beautiful… It fits her*
"That's for you, no need to thank me. Besides, I must be more thankful to you for helping me last day, that's my thank you gift" David caressed her hair and smiled.
[FLASHBACK]
David went ahead in the direction of the school as he approached the gate entry with a smile on his face. He was ready to enter the school when he realized he didn't have his ID in his backpack, "Not this time please!"
"I don't think so" Gwen arrived at his side with his ID, "Yah! You should be careful next time, I-I noticed you heading towards here as your ID fell from your bag."David couldn't even find the words to express how stunned he was that she had come to help him at such a difficult moment. "T-Thank you"
"Eh you don't have to thank me, it's just a small thing, please take this," she said, She gave her the ID before leaving and entering the school. That day, after his class, he went out to find new clothes for his trip to Canada next week. While wandering around, he saw a beautiful hairpin, and he bought it for Milk as his thankful gift *I want to give it to her*
[END OF FLASHBACK]
On the other hand, Tricio and Gwen are observing them from the side of the table. "Gwen, do you think they are perfect?" Tricio asked Gwen. "Perfect your ass!" Gwen rolled her eyes. "Why? They look so good, I ship them so much!"
"Look, David trying his best for Milk to like him, while this 'Milk-Milk' is being so hard to get" Gwen rolled her eyes again and stared at them horribly "It doesn't make her cute, though she's not even cute"
"You're so mean to her" Tricio pouted his lips "At least she's prettier than you" Tricio received a hard smack on his arm coming from Gwen "Hoy! You're right! I'm not pretty but I am GORGEOUS!" She curled her eyes once again.
"Can you avoid fighting for at least a day?" They were talking when David entered the moment. He sat between them and said, "I will court her" The two of them were surprised by what he said "Jeez... men... really?/Wait What?!" Trio and Gwen were both surprised. "So, are you going to court her?" Gwen said as the atmosphere altered to a serious one. "No, I'm just teasing y'all, you guys know I'm into girls, pretty girls but I don't take it seriously" he laughed.
"Why?" Tricio asked
"It's just…I felt nothing, it's just…I don't know but I'm into her"He was hesitant to express how he felt about Milk. "Jusko ginoo (My god!)" Gwen curled her eyes again as she patted his back "Just tell us that you're not into commitment" Gwen said as she released a deep breath, due to his fear of commitment, David has consistently lost opportunities to date, someone, he likes. Tricio feels David's genuineness this time, and his feelings for her are smooth like sweet butter as if he would suddenly fall hard for her. "Yes I agree with her dude" Tricio replied and pouted.
*Even though I was happy to meet her, I also felt empty. Nevertheless, I'll do my best to get to know her better and develop a connection with her.* Gwen's words, which hit him so hard, caused David to feel something heavy on his chest.
He stood up, "But! At least...I have her number" He gave them a right-eye wink before leaving.
As the days went by, David and Milk became closer; they now often have lunch together and pick Milk up from school. He smiles warmly and seems to be experiencing this happiness for the first time.
*I feel so happy these days, I will do my best to make her smile, not to hurt her, and I will never lay any single of my hands on her. I think...I can't live without her*
A while ago Milk finally answered him after courting him for two days. He walked her to the bus station wearing a smile on his face. "Milk, thank you for today"
"I am so grateful to have you, David." they both exchanged quick kisses as they are filled with delight in their hearts. "Alright, See you tomorrow" Milk said, After bidding farewell, she eventually entered the bus. David walked again and headed to his house.
"Bahhhh! Hoy! Are you already together?!" Tricio appeared on his back "What the hell?!" David was surprised "jdebhge you afsjjk hell" Tricio didn't hear him clearly "What?" David walked out as he ignored him.
"Hoy!"
"Tangina nen-- (you mother-)" David gave him a murderous gaze. "ako, and bobo ko (me, I'm stupid)" Tricio looked away. But, David walked away again as he ignore him once more.
"Hoy wait for me!" Tricio followed and shouldered him "I just want to surprise you to death, why so mad" Tricio pouted and David immediately smack his head again "Ouch!"
David stopped and said, "She said yes," David said with a smirk on his lips.
"Hala? Are you kidding me? When?! You just courted her last two days ago?!" Tricio finds himself astonished at the same moment. "Do you think I'm Joking? She said yes a while ago" David said. Tricio slapped his ass.
"I didn't expect her, I thought she was being hard to get to you---hmm so... she accepted your feelings and got official a while ago--hmmm not bad...only for two days.. not bad" Tricio received a hard smack again on his head.
"There's nothing wrong about that, let's have a drink. what do you think?" David smirked "That's a good idea!!! call Gwen she must be here and celebrate, you are not a trash and shy guy anymore and not a virgin boy soon!!" Tricio shouted jokingly.
David called Gwen, "Where's Gwen? She didn't pick up her phone" David called her again, so she could invite her together with Tricio. After a few rings, Gwen answered.
"H-hell— *stats* lloo?" Gwen said on the other line
"Where are you?"
"I'm in my family dinner? Are you with— Gwen!! Hurry!!! A-ah I can't be with you tonight I gotta go bye!" Gwen hangs up the call. Tricio and David were unable to understand a word she said.
"I think she's with her family again" David said as he released a deep breathe, "And now....."

After several hours have passed, it is already 9:00 p.m., and he is laying on the bed listening to his beloved on the phone. David hesitates if he will text Milk or not "What should I text?"
[Good evening]
[Are you free tomorrow?] "No, that's being too much"
While he was typing suddenly when someone texted him, "Milk?!" When David surprisingly received an unexpected message from his lover, he was taken aback.
[Are you free tonight?]
"Tonight?! I didn't prepare myself yet" David talking to himself, his cheeks blushing so hard.
[where?] David replied, he stood up and faced the mirror making himself look good "This is it!"
[at my house, I'll send you the location], David has a strange feeling; the atmosphere is frigid and she never mentioned his name. Nevertheless, he set those feelings aside. Since this is their first date, he shouldn't have any bad thoughts.
He arrived at the street's location and witnessed a silent, dark residence. The gate was open, so he stepped inside and knocked three times on the door until it unexpectedly opened. Milk was staring back at him with a blank gaze. His response was "H-Hi" since he was unsure of what to do. The awkwardness of his words increases the atmosphere's cold and silence. He waved his hand a little. David didn't sure what to do as Milk continued to stare at him for a moment, so he began to speak again by asking, "H-how are you?" *stupid! Why did I ask her that* David closed his eyes and breathed deeply. He opened his eyes and saw her eyes is different, it's dark and sharp together with her lips still closed, and she didn't even flinch for seconds.
When he looked at her from head to toe, he saw that she had something on her hand behind her back. David got terrified in fear when Milk showed her hand holding a knife, He simply moves away backwards since he is so confused and uncertain of what to say.
"Milk, what do you think you are doing? put that knife down"Milk did not respond or make any movements at all. *Why she's holding a knife, shit!*
Milk approached him abruptly, "D-don't.", as they keep moving backwards, they finally reached the gate outside "Why the gate is already locked?!" David got panicked when he saw the gate was already locked, as far as he remembered, he left the gate open.
David was startled when Milk finally spoke, "I don't want to live" Milk murmured as she cut her own throat and slumped to the ground. "Milk!" David panicked as he saw the blood flows coming from her neck. He rushed over to her, raised her head, and stopped the blood from flowing and splashing everywhere.
"M-Milk?! You are joking right?!" he tried to stop the blood and he checked her neck which makes him feel angry and scared. "Milk!!! wake up! Wake up!!!" he shook her so she would wake up, but she didn't. "Help!!! Someone, please help us!!!"
Several minutes passed, and no one came for help. He can't even stand on his own two feet and run away. He can't leave her lover in his hands, lifeless. David is still watching her on the ground, her eyes are still open and the blood is about to dry. He can't believe what just happened, someone slit its own neck in front of him and It was Milk, the girl he liked.
"Are you enjoying the view?" someone came in from inside the house, it laughed demonically. The voice is very familiar to David.
Its eyes are depressing like a corpse, wearing a heavy and thick jacket, and its lips are stained black. "Remember how your parents die, oh did they slit their own necks too?" the person came closer to David and whispered on his ear, "Do you feel get déjà vu?"
[FLASHBACKS, 2 YEARS AGO]
"Mom, Dad, why are you holding a knife?"
"Mom! Dad! Don't"In front of him, both of them slashed off their necks.
"Because they went bankrupt and can't afford to feed you, they sacrificed their lives for money. Ughh, what a sad life story–"
"How can you do this to us? we've been friends for a year and I can't believe you just killed my parents?!"
[ENDS OF FLASHBACKS]
David remembered the day of his parent's death, it was the same as what happened to Milk. The terrifying incidents repeated again.
"Now you remember?"
"So you're going to hit the top of my head again along with giving me an injection to make me forget things? and you're going to set her body and this house on fire." The person was surprised that he correctly predicted it, thus it clapped its hand and laughed demonically. "Wow, you correctly predicted it! It makes sense why you are one of the best students yet have had bad luck in life"
"Stop making up stories!" David instantly stood up to grab the person. Unfortunately, it was faster than he was. His neck felt stinging. "Shit!" he cursed as he knew he fucked up. *I got shot*
Instead of thinking of his death, he might be sure that he will get his revenge "I can't die here" he pushed the person down and slapped it "You fucking heartless woman, you can't deceive me anymore" he slapped her again, "You will no longer be my friend!" As she holds his hand to stop him, she receives another smack. "No…..we're not friends in the first place, do you know why? I don't want a friend like you" he slapped her again, "This slap isn't enough to pay up for what you did, for the way you lost their lives, just like you wasted mine and the life of the person I liked" and slapped her again for the last time "I regret meeting you! Gora"
He gave her an enormous blow and took the knife out of Milk's hand. "This is the last, I want to end the story here" He held Gora as he stabbed himself alongside her. He finally ended his miserable existence.

"Let's combine lives, The reality is here in my world"

"Take my life, I am living in mystery"
This is now the reality where the magic lives. He will witness the life of the living person he will take. His life of full of mystery, he is living in mystery.
