Chapter 15: An Introduction to Slytherin! Part-1
{The Great Hall, Hogwarts, Scotland}
{08:05 PM, 1st Sept 1991}
Whispers soon broke out across the hall, there were many things to talk about, the ambiguous tone in which the sorting hat spoke, what is a natural occlumenus? was the ancestor that the hat spoke about Salazaar Slytherin?
Harry stood at the forefront of the rumors as numerous gazes swept on him, he blinked at the numerous stares and then focused on the center where a blond now stood ready to undergo sorting, "Draco Malfoy" that gained some people's attention as the scrutiny on Harry decreased.
Noticing that not the whole bloody school was trying to read him anymore, Harry dove into his own thoughts, what did the hat even mean by his ancestor, Harry was sure that the Potters were nowhere near related to the Slytherin, their line descended from the Preveell who was distantly related to the Gryffindors If anything there was no reason to dump him into the snake den. He could have lived and prospered in either Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw.
"So is Jackson even your real name?" Harry turned his head only to look at the bright blue eyes of a blond girl, her eyes were studying him as Harry did the same to her, her high cheekbones and perfectly manicured hands played with her hair as he detected a faint hint of amusement when he read her emotions, she certainly knew the counter to his legilimency like every wizard somehow knew, although he could still get a read on her.
"Maybe," Harry's eyes darted spotting at least another person slightly leaning towards the two, "It's the only name I have ever known..."
"...Gryffindor" a loud cheer interrupted Harry as he watched his brother walk towards the Gryffindor table who were shouting and clapping. As Harry watched amused at the antics of the two redhead brothers, Malfoy who had now taken a seat beside Harry scoffed, "I talked to our celebrity before," he spoke slowly likely drawing attention, "I thought the heir to a family as old as the Potters, should have been taught better but alas," he shook his head in disappointment, "he is a blood trailer, Just like his Father..." he finished dramatically. I watched as several people nod their heads slightly.
'Is it this easy to manipulate people nowadays, the little shit barely did anything...'
"Hector was it," the Malfoy apparently ecstatic at his success turned his attention towards the other threat to his authority, he heard the hat clearly because he was close to it, the hat clearly said Jackson's ancestor was from Hogwarts, plus he knew how rare getting to learn Occlumency was, he had always struggled with the art and to know that somehow this muggle-born, who was possibly just a son of a discarded squib, born with this rare magical gift infuriated him.
Harry's eyes flashed for a second as he looked at the malice in the Malfoy heir's eyes, he used a quick wandless Legilimency to glean into his surface thoughts, Harry sighed internally as he easily held the Malfoy's stare.
"Who are the Jackson's anyway, a house formed by the progeny of a discarded squib?" He challenged arousing the interest of several people around them.
Harry eyed Malfoy for a second before he spoke, "Settle down Malfoy, there are 7 whole years left for you to dick around, no need to put it out there on the very first day," Harry spoke, his tone flat, he didn't rose to the bait but instead insulted Malfoy for being too immature.
Draco's face darkened and he fired back, "What did you say mudblood!" he challenged. Fire in his eyes as he stared at the blank face of Hector.
Harry looked at him disappointed, he shook his head and hissed softly"~Levicorpus~", "~Silencio~".
Harry concentrated and felt how different the magic was from a normal hanging spell, instead of the circular motion of mana it somehow was completely transformed into a helical shape, and the mana kept fluctuating as Draco felt a tug at the center of his back. His eyes widened as he flew into the air and hung about 10 feet in the air, his eyes held panic as he couldn't speak so Harry spoke, "You're still a kid so consider this a lesson your pureblood father never taught you, you can't be a dick just because you are a dick... at least not to someone unknown who you know nothing about..." he spoke softly but his voice traveled far, as the whole great hall has quietened down once again. He could see several staff members rushing towards the Slytherin table. He felt the surrounding people back away, not wanting to be caught in the crossfire.
"What the hell is going on here," A dark hair man spoke as soon as he was within speaking vicinity. He watched the old man who radiated the most power he had ever seen slowly make his way towards him too, his eyes fixed on Malfoy as he hung mid-air. Harry pulled his wand out of his robe and spoke, "Professor Dumbledore," he spoke softly, "I would like to submit my wand as evidence to dismiss any and all false accusations that may be levied against me by heir Malfoy."
I extended my wand towards the headmaster who stared at me with a serious visage, Harry wasn't aware of what the old wizard could see but now he was feeling a little afraid that maybe he could figure out the trick behind his spells, but still there was no way he expected that Harry performed the spell wandlessly would he?
On the other side, Professor Snape tried in vain to cancel the spell, he could sense that the spell was a levitation spell because if Levicorpus had been used then the Malfoy heir would have been hanging by his ankles. Still, he tried the countercurse to no effect.
"Jackson, get Malfoy down here," Snape growled as he tried another overpowered finite to try and overpower the spell. Professor Dumbledore on the other hand looked through the various spells that my wand had cast when the only spell which was capable to hang Draco in the air was a levitation spell, which too was cast long ago, long before on the train when Harry was experimenting.
"I'm afraid you have got it, wrong Professor," Harry opened his hand as if to indicate that he knew nothing about what was going on, "it seems like someone wants to frame the muggle-born for his misdeeds while also trying to teach the pompous brat a lesson."
Snape stared at Harry for a second before turning to Dumbledore who pulled out the Elder wand and felt the magic holding the boy in place. He suppressed any facial reactions from indicating that indeed he knew what the spell was, he could break the spell with the power of the Elder wand but he let the mana keep circling around the Malfoy heir. It would not be a good idea to let this young man figure out that his tricks were seen through, he could observe the boy more closely and figure out if he was going dark.
'Still a Parselmouth after all this time... it seems like I need to search more into Mr. Jackson's background... the Slytherin line should have died with Voldemort.'

AN: To clear all confusion before people start screaming at me. There could be another way Hector being a muggle-born be explained even though the hat said his ancestor walked the Hogwarts halls, he could be born from a long line of squibs that mingled with the muggle world, That's why Malfoy failed to acknowledge him as even a Halfblood because the Hogwarts registry automatically writes down the name of every magical born in Britain with their real name. So no one would doubt that his real name is Hector Jackson thus the speculation. And Malfoy's aggression!!
Plus there is no way Harry is going to be intimidated by an 11-year-old, no matter how connected he is with how much he had been through.
