Chapter 2: 2

Mark had been at the school for almost a week, but strangely nothing made him suspicious of the students. Mark wondered if his brother's analysis was wrong? Or maybe not one of the students, but the teacher?

He also began to get close to Mesha and was even rumored to be dating, but Mark of course didn't care about such rumors. His job at the school was only to find the owner of the power.

"Wulan! How many times have I told you? Don't touch my business!" Helma's shout was able to make Mark who was at the end of the hallway turn to her and see the incident from a distance.

"L-let go...," Wulan whispered.

"Let go? I'll let you go when you've ascended to the afterlife." Mesha and Sherly could not move, the two children seemed to be hypnotized not to come closer to Helma's battle area.

The teachers and even the principal seemed to be blocked by something to get closer to the two of them, the intense pressure from Helma made the surroundings so scared that they didn't dare to look at her. Mark, who saw this for the first time, immediately concluded that his suspicions about Helma were not wrong.

"H-helma l-release ...." Wulan's voice was getting smaller because Helma kept choking her and making her unable to breathe. Instead of releasing her stranglehold, Helma strangled Wulan's neck even more.

Helma's emotions were slowly turning her into the monster she used to be. "Helma! Remember the past!"

Suddenly Helma saw her friend who she accidentally killed in the past because of the same case, even though the teacher had repeatedly explained that it was not Helma who killed her. The student had died purely because of his illness, not because of Helma.

"Today you could have escaped Lan, if it wasn't for one of the teachers shouting like that. You would have had the same fate as Silvina," Helma said.

Helma tried to lower her emotions by staying silent in the middle of the backyard of the school and shouting as loudly as she could, Mark began to approach Helma and tapped her on the shoulder. As he touched her, Mark became more and more convinced that he was the owner of the power.

"What are you doing here?" asked Helma. She wondered why Mark was approaching her, when he could have attacked her without realizing it.

"I found you too finally, the owner of the power." Suddenly the atmosphere became silent, Mark who thought Helma would be fascinated instead she destroyed Mark's expectations.

"Huh? What did you say? Don't grumble incoherently. We know." Helma moved away from Mark, but Mark pulled Helma's arm and made her even angrier.

"Trust me, you have something special." Helma let go of Mark's grip and tried to run away, but strangely when she ran away. Mark suddenly appeared in front of her.

"Lo! How come ... well you're a monster huh?" Mark shook his head, he really wanted to convince Helma that he and she were the same.

"Hhh, I'm tired of pretending to be good. I was told to find you by my brother, so please. Can you not come with me?" Helma still didn't believe it, how could there be such a thing in this world.

Once again she wanted to run away, but Mark pulled her hand back to hug her. Then unfortunately, Mesha saw the incident and felt that Helma was starting to show another side.

"Crazy, your guy was taken by Sha." Mesha could only grit her teeth. How could the man she liked be close to her enemy.

" I'm gonna kill you Helma."

"Mark, go home now." Mark was at the end of the hallway after arguing with Helma in the backyard of the school.

"Why, what's wrong brother? By the way I managed to find the owner of the power," Mark said on his phone.

"That's great, but this is important. Mom and Dad are suddenly sick. I don't know what to do with them, maybe you can help."

"Okay Bro, I'm going home now." Mark had expected his parents to get sick, but he didn't expect it to be something Ayres couldn't handle. The disease that his parents had, was not a normal human disease.

If they were sick, it was usually Mark who would take them to another dimension. Since Ayres did not have the ability to teleport like him, so because of that the next day Mark made a permission letter to his homeroom teacher to go home first to take care of his parents.

Mark no longer boarded the plane, he immediately teleported to the dimension where his parents were. There he picks them up and brings them back home, while there Ayres is restless. The passage of time in that dimension and the world is very different, if you are one hour in another dimension then in the world the time has passed for one day.

Mark, then, had spent six hours in the other dimension. So when he returned to New York, it had been six days since Ayres had waited for Mark and his parents to arrive. A unique disease, isn't it?

"Are you all okay?" asked Ayres. Mark just nodded, as did his father.

"I'm a little dizzy, Ayres please make me some tea. It's already midnight here," said Mark's mother.

"Yes mom." Mark sat down casually without remembering that he had left his school for a very long time.

"Mark, tomorrow you have to go back to Indonesia. I think Kenzie has made a move." Mark instantly came to his senses and wanted to go back right then and there, but his actions were stopped by Ayres. He should at least say goodbye to his parents first if he wanted to go back.

"I hope there are no major events while I'm gone."

"Eh Sha, where is your boyfriend? How come he suddenly disappeared?" Mesha who heard this looked sharply at her best friend, she still couldn't believe what happened to her. After hugging Helma in the backyard of the school, he just disappeared?

"Hey! What did you do to Mark huh?" Helma, who was reprimanded like that, of course thought what Mesha meant.

"Mark? I didn't do anything to him," Helma replied.

"Honestly, you! Yesterday I saw you and him hugging in the backyard, surely after that you hurt him. Right?" Is Helma being misheard now? What did she think she was, for Mesha to accuse her like that.

"Hey Mesha, I remind you once again. I'm a human not a monster, you think I'm a Megalodon looking for prey huh!" annoyed Helma.

"In reality you are a monster, right? How can any human beings be so angry or sad that they make the whole school feel the same way? That's not normal for humans." Helma wanted to punch Mesha in the mouth for being so fluent in insulting someone.

"I don't care if you want to punch me or slap me. I'm not going to answer questions from people who don't have any sense like you, it's not worth knowing."
