"You think that I wanted to do that?!" She yelled at him, "Everything that I have done is for your own good. I lost your parents years ago and almost lost you three years ago, but it won't happen anymore. You're the only one left of your family and that lineage must continue!" Chairwoman Kang said with a furious intensity that Young Chul's heart nearly flew out of his chest. 

Why did he have to be caught between them? No, the better question was, why was he even here? He wasn't even of any use except to watch them bicker back and forth. Perhaps, they want him to record the score or what? You know, to check who won the argument at the end?
