Chapter 67: Morgiana’s Rescue 

Including the crossroads route, three roads led out of Sherwood towards Nottingham.

Curiously, flying carriages did not work inside the forest. It was an unsolved mystery. Perhaps ancient magic existed within its borders.

The Leenward Road was the most frequented because of its clean terrain. The shortest route ended at a precipice's edge over the River Leen. Carriages could simply fly over the canyon towards Nottingham as the forest's magic ceased at that point.

However, the Leenward Road was also most watched by bandits. The likelihood of a raid was high, regardless of the accompanying security.

The Shore Road was slightly longer and rolled down the hill. It ended over a narrow stream that any carriage could cross easily. It was a wide snaking path, which made it easy for looters to set up ambushes.

Finally, Hill Road, the longest route, ascended to a higher precipice over Leen. You could see the clouds flitting by from that height.
