His eyes were wide and his mouth agape, even all the hairs were standing up on his body. Officer Curry's death was peculiar beyond measure and based on his facial expression, they could almost imagine the horror his eyes must've witnessed.
It must be some sort of animal or insect, but which of those creatures can drain a body of blood so quickly and easily?
Without even asking it out loud, their question was answered when Taranis broke the silence.
"I thought I'd enjoy it more since it's been so long since I've fed," he started. "I wanted to relish the taste, but human blood gets blander each decade that passes."
"Does your kind not eat well anymore?"
With trembling hands, Officer Nelson aimed his gun in the direction of the voice once more, "What the fuck are you?"
"You called me a human before, didn't you?"
"You're no human," Officer Nelson spat.
"Quite a riddle isn't it?" Taranis taunted and shortly after, another body drained of blood joined Officer Curry on the ground.
