Chapter 25: Suicidal behaviour?

As Derick and Liam race to the office, Michel adds, "The Professor told me today that he is going out for a few days."

"Did you observe any changes in his demeanour?" Liam inquires as he prepares a cup of coffee for Derick and Michel.

"No...he was up and looking for some files, as I noticed when I observed him unlock his table drawers to take some files out." As he sits on the office couch, Michel says.

"Couldn't it be the goal we're aiming for?" With inopportune eyes, Derick says.

"I'm not sure if the event will take place tomorrow. The other organisers, according to the head, were out of town" As he sits in his office chair, Liam says.

As he slides open the laptop, Michel adds, "let's check the schedule page one more time and see who will be joining."

"Derick, could you please ask the maid to bring us some breakfast?" Liam inquires.

As he walks outside the room to make his request, Derick nods.

"As you can see, they are the two people that are acting as the primary guide. He is twenty-four years old, and he studied abroad to avoid standing out in class. Instead, he found work as a digital designer, and his family consists of only his sister, who is married to a milk industry employee." While scrolling down the information page, Michel says.

"Note down each and every detail we are heading to the department," Liam says, his face serious.

Derick climbs the stairs with a lunch dish in his hand, and Michel nods as Liam left the room wearing his coat.

"Are we getting ready to leave?" Derick notices Liam coming downstairs and inquires with a puzzled expression.

As he walks downstairs, Liam adds, "Yes....give this meal to Michel, I'm going to have breakfast in a cafe."

Derick shakes his head as he holds his food tray and has cloudy thoughts.

He places the food tray on Michel's table, where he was focused on scribbling down information while looking into his laptop.

To brighten Michel's mood, Derick says, "Going sir."

Michel smiles back and nods.

Derick yells, "Hey asshole, wait for me!" as he sprints down the street, hearing the automobile stearing sound.

As he waits, Liam puts on his sunglasses.

As he gets into the car, Derick shouts, "You fucker, don't you try to leave your best friend."

Liam effortlessly parks his car next to a bistro.

They both order a small breakfast while discussing the circumstances of the occurrence and the CCTV cameras.

Liam's table is flanked by a boy with glasses and dusty ripped clothes, who keeps his books near the table.

His hair was too long to allow his eyes to be seen.

He quickly ordered a plain cake that was not too expensive, and as Liam looked at him, he noticed that the youngster was too emaciated, as if he hadn't been given much food to eat or was barely surviving.

Liam rises from his seat and places an order for a huge bowl of rice and chicken, as well as an energy drink, on his table.

The child raises his eyes to Liam, who returns his gaze.

"So, what exactly are you looking for?" As Liam notices his sweat rolling down his hair, the boy is taken aback by Liam's question.

"Looking for a job??," Liam says as he sits in the boy's opposite chair.

As the server gives him Liam's order, the child nods and looks at him.

"Eat up first," Liam adds as the youngster follows his lead and devours his delectable supper.

While eating, the youngster chokes as if it were his last meal.

"So, tell me what you're looking for here?" When Liam notices the boy wiping his huge lips with a handkerchief, he asks.

"I'm looking for a job, sir... My younger brother is unable to attend school since my father has left the house and my mother sells dumplings on the streets. She became ill after staying out too long, and I don't have enough money to cover her and my brother's expenses" During the conversation, the youngster adds while keeping his eyes down.

"Poor you...well, if you like to show me where you reside," Liam replies as he observes a stack of rejection letters from other companies.

As he gets up with Liam, the boy nods.

"Hey, let's go, we'll help this kid," Liam says to Derick, who is eating his great dinner while dropping his burger, licking his fingers, and giggling.

"Get your own move," Liam says softly as he leans down.

Derick's grin fades as he takes the documents in his hands and follows them both to the parking lot.

As Liam, Derick, and the youngster slide into the car, the boy asks, "Where are we going?" Liam remains silent throughout the ride, parking his car in front of a typical clothing store.

As soon as the boy notices Liam buying some nice things from the shop, he quietly exits.

As the boy slides down the window, Liam returns with a black hoodie and a pair of pants with two shoes.

Liam gets in close and says, "immediately change into this and tell me the address."

The lad bows, and Liam leaves him in a surprised expression.

They arrive in approximately an hour because Liam and Derick remain silent and the boy gives instructions to his residence.

As the boy approaches his modest house, the door clicks open, and behind him, Liam and Derick stand, the boy's younger brother calls out his name, noting "stupid boy came home."

As he turns around and invites Liam and Derick in, the boy sighs.

Liam and Derick take off their shoes and socks as they clean their feet on the carpet.

As they glance about, they notice an almost middle-aged woman resting on a bed beside her, and a table full of fruits and vegetables.

A tiny fan was also affixed to the room's ceiling.
