Chapter 173: One more rumor is not going to change anything

Mei Lin panicked when she saw her daughter leaving. With giving a second thought, she reached forwards and quickly grabbed her hand. "Stop!" she bellowed in anger. "Ziyue! Where do you think you are going?"

"Mom, leave my hand." Bai Liyue said calmly. 

Mei Lin took a deep breath to calm the anger that was boiling inside of her. She glared at her eldest daughter as a scowl appeared on her face. "Don't create a scene here. Get in the car."

"And if I don't?" Bai Liyue challenged, raising an eyebrow. "Would you force me, mother?"

"Yes, it would have to..." she said and suddenly, a small smug smile appeared on her face. She looked at her stubborn daughter and continued, "But, I don't think it would come to that. My dear child, I think you don't realize there is a paparazzi over there clicking our pictures. And, you know very well, how they work."

Bai Liyue narrowed her eyes slightly.
