Chapter 79: Dungeon Cleared!

As a show of power and force Joshua transformed himself into his demonic form. His wings erupted from his back and his long horns appeared on his head as his body was surrounded by an aura of black flames.

"A human pretending to be a demon you say?" Joshua said, his voice deeper, causing the very fabric of existence within the chamber to vibrate violently. "All your years of solitude have turned you into a fool."

"Lord Xiel?" The demon said, as his eyes teared up. "Is it really you?"

"No." Joshua said. "I am not your former lord; however, I am the demon emperor."

"I see." The demon said.

"What is the treasure of this dungeon? Of all the dungeons?!" Joshua asked. "Why would Neu instruct me to open it? What is kept here?!"

"A fragment of my lord's power." The demon said. "They sealed his power away within the dungeons and then forced his army and his generals to guard it. To think another lord would arise, from a human at that.
