From prophecies to scheming politicians and Ladies within the Palace, this story is very amazing, you get involved into all machinations and never have I seen the most beautiful display of strong and powerful characters you fall in love with from the very beginning every moment feels self lived and real with every page and dialogue you read it is a true masterpiece 🥰

By far the most remarkable historical novel I have read that deals with Palace life and politics, I was initiated into the plot from the very beginning when I witnessed some of the most drastic and remarkable schemes in the Imperial Court, I have fallen so much in love with the antagonist and characters feel too deep with the most wonderful display of their feelings being direct, there's a great contrast that makes you want to keep reading over and over again and in particular makes this my favourite so far.

Palace drama isn’t necessarily my thing because it’s a lot of talking (less doing) and lots and lots of scheming women. There’s only so much I can take as this feels more modern than most since the female lead has more contemporary attitudes and, well, breaks just about every etiquette rule. In almost every chapter. She gets away with breaking nearly ever rule and somehow, someone is always protecting her, Other than being the star of the show, there’s no clear reason why she gets away with it all. That started to bug me after a while until I accepted that she's awfully smart she keeps me reading every other time.

A remarkable masterpiece of bewildering evil, unpredictable disloyalties, the perfect blend of emotional contrasts both seen and unseen with unmatched strength of each character, Innocence, naivety and hatred, vengeance, envy and greed, every dialogue is Rich it couldn't compare to any cruel Palace drama I have read or watched before.

Who says that even villains can't be protagonists, at first I found it quite strange that we have a character who from historical reconstruction as a heroine at the end of it all we see her for the first time as a femme fatale and even better that it sticks to historical patterns for once we have to appreciate that even then she remains the personality that gives the whole story a backbone which makes this an all time favorite Palace story for me.

The schemes that keep you alive and biting every one of your fingers with a lot of unpredictable happenings coming in one by one, twisted plots that eventually connect when you least expect never have I seen a story that challenges me to look at even the sweetest people as potentially cautious and to beware of.

A largely twisted tale that converges and stems from one root leaving no emotion distorted, never have I brought myself to realise how passionately written this masterpiece is until now, I have loved and cherished every scene and consequently found myself absorbed into the long chapters to the point that I was surprised each end will leave you in too much suspense I find myself unable to wait any longer to read yet another chapter again.

The most poisonous smiles and minds alike and the most astute characters are a rare composition of love, hate and devotion, enmity, vengeance and affliction, cruelty, benevolence and pride ripping through every soul and ultimately becoming attached to them never have I ever beheld a masterpiece like this before my very own eyes.

Probably for me what would be the hardest genre to write given that you have to deal with a reconstruction of historical narratives but at the same time also the easiest to write because for once everything historically recorded with insufficient information is an advantage to be exploited, both roles fit this novel and every now for once I am forced to think that this is a part of every character reborn in every single dialogue and line that defines this story.

You'll hate, you'll love, you'll hurt, you'll cry and feel every emotion embedded in every character, every character is indulging and intriguing from the start and this officially makes it the first and the most remarkable historical Palace politics novel I have read in a very long time.

A perfectly flawless start has made this for me another standard that's quite high for other stories, It leaves me expectant of so much more and I wasn't disappointed as I had hoped while adding this book to my library I have never enjoyed a tale which leaves you captivated by every word and expression it all feels like a most remarkable stage that I never wish to step down from.

You'll never get to love a scheming main lead in a story but certainly you can't withstand loving the one in this one, I enjoy that the story gets to the point and remains both direct and mysterious and the first time sets women in the harem on a political stage apart from just a concubine one.⭐

I was never a fan of political intrigue as I am now and never has there been a story to arouse my passion for this genre like this has, from life-changing scenarios that help you understand and ail for even the worst of people and the most definite narrative of cruel Palace life in a Song Dynasty Palace and harem alongside the fake joyous colours shown to the world.

Dramatized or not, this novels does little to coat the real cruelty of harems in ancient history, it reveals everything wholly but most importantly, you only grow to appreciate the presence of each flaw and perfection.

The novel draws you to every plausibility than you can ever imagine and creates for us the most uniquely turbulent and cruel harem, I find every machination and scheme and I envy yet this remarkable design.

A very intense suspenseful and heart-wrecking drama perhaps I could say, there's just so much to every character that may seem real but is false, so much about every person that makes you appreciate them but above all, do much about the main leads that gets you captivated by them, this story in deed is a brilliant masterpiece that is good at manipulating and stirring much of the reader's emotions.

We are so used to good looking and kind hearted stubborn protagonists in most stories but this one emerges outstandingly unique in that aspect giving me a cruel and heartless one instead it's the first to get a five stars from me.

I am in love with this story and I couldn't help it but come to totally admire all the characters even with their flaws and emotions and to some degree even feel very attached to them, this is a wonderful construct of a story in deed and I love that the plot is original which makes it a favourite of mine.
