Chapter 967: Maria Finally Gets Her Divine Spirit

After defeating Eustace and helping him recover his sanity, with the aid of Celes' powers, we managed to transform him into a Water Ghost, and not a normal one, but one that was also kind of like a Spirit, but not there yet. Instead of a Curse with Hatred, Frustration, or Sorrow infecting his soul, there was a Blessing with Love, Hope, and the desire for Justice to be enacted.

This was the first time such a creation was even made, I believe, a ghost that does not possess an accursed existence, but a blessed one. Isn't he more like a guardian spirit? Perhaps even closer to an angelic being than a ghost now… I don't really know, but it was great.
