Zephyr was silent for a while staring at the upgraded skill. He admitted that this skill is very beneficial for him especially when collecting the souls of the slain units as every collected soul increases his attack power.
However the defense reduction doesn't attract him very much. For him whose attacks ignored any form of defense because of the effect of his divinity, this is pretty much of a useless effect. Knowing this, Zephyr tried to change the way of his thinking.
'If I think about it, attacks that ignores the target's defense only applies to me but not with Tetsuya or my death legion.'

10 minutes...20 minutes...30 minutes...After 2 hours, Zephyr and Ericson still had not reached the end of the passageway. They couldn't even tell that the end was nearing at all. Even they were currently at stealth of Tetsuya, they walked forwards but their footstep walked even softer which made no noise. After exiting the passageway and stepped into an extremely vast space, suddenly a system prompt appeared in their eyes.

The dragon's lair was an important space. The reward for visiting it first was to have a qualification to become transcendent. It was equivalent to the reward for defeating a mythic. Visiting a lair was a great feat.
However it didn't took long for another series of notification windows to appear.

Seeing the system prompts, Zephyr knew that this domain is much more refined and stronger than the domain of Eliazar as all of his stats fell to negative.
Feeling that his body became heavy and felt like he had fallen back lower than level 1 as all of his stats was suppressed to the extreme without any resistance.

As Zephyr continuing moving forward without caring about the debuff he was suffering, soon he found a noise that seemed a giant beast's breathing or snoring.
Zephyr was entrigued with the sound and with his curiosity, Zephyr decided to go near it. In a distance he saw a gigantic figure.
'Dragon.'
Both Zephyr and Ericson immediately thought the moment they see it as they could feel the absolute strength that is coming from it.
However unlike most other Dragons that they had imagined, it is covered in pitch-black scales; atop the head, it has two black sharp horns that was about 2 meters tall, bat like wings that was hanging down naturally.
At the front of it's mouth were 2 sharp and deadly fangs which were about half a meter long. Similarly, its abdominal area was also jet black and its claws looked like steel hooks. There was also a sturdy tail that was about 10 meters long.
At the moment, it seemed sleeping but its powerful snores were almost defeaning. Although it was asleep, it gave off a massive pressure that made it hard for Zephyr and Ericson to breathe.
Ericson thought in his mind.
'To be able to emit a pressure like that while sleeping...dragons were really incredible and powerful.'
Zephyr on the other hand inspected the sleeping dragon with his [Emperor Eye].

Remembering that every stats of Hyrkan is 99,999 and a level 500 at that, Zephyr saw the Evil Dragon Nima as a weaker existence among the dragons if compared to the self proclaimed strongest dragon.
Well it's natural as this existence was only inferior to the True Dragons like Hyrkan as they were in the highest place of the hierarchy among the dragons and followed by Ancient Dragon Kings.
However Ancient Dragon Kings were not weak at all as they were also among the top in hierarchy. Although all dragons are strong, there are different ranks among them, organized by combat power. Just like any races, the draconic race has their own hierarchy but it could be said that their hierarchy is very important.

There were also many kinds of items that radiated the glow of legendary and some were surely mythic but he wasn't interested in it.
Ericson was also the same as he didn't bat an eye to the pile of astronomical treasures that would make an entire continent prosper for hundreds of years.

Zephyr and Ericson tried to hold their breath and slowed his heartbeat. On the other hand, it didn't take long for Zephyr took long for a system prompts to appear.

Without caring what was happening to them, the Evil Dragon Nima continued.
(I was intrigued on who were able able to enter my lair and bypassing the guards and traps I laid there. To think they were measly mortals.)

Nima spoke with keen interest as his gaze was fixed to them. Ericson and Zephyr noticed something. Nima wasn't considering them as a threat at all even they had managed to enter the lair.
Due to the dragon's pride and their heaven defying power, a dragon doesn't pay attention to any creature except itself, not even the gods.
It's just a simple matter if put it to human's comparison. It was just like a human when an ant or any form of tiny insect was around him but the human simply would not care about the insect.
For the dragons, all other races were simply like an insect. However even they treated the other races like this due to their nature and power, even they were prideful, they did not hate them at all. To be exact, they felt nothing about them.
It's just that they didn't care about insignificant matters as they believed they shouldn't bother with it as doing so would be just a waste of time. This was the perspective of the strongest transcendent race and one of the reason why they reigned supreme among the rest.

The full set of Aetherius Set was instantly equipped as he replied. Ignoring the feeling of the rising power, Zephyr gripped tightly both Aetherius Dragon Slaying Sword and Avarice Butterfly in his hands.
All of his swords suddenly levitated around him including the Venomous Demon Sword along with all his unique rated swords. With a sudden burst of intense sword aura, he focused his gaze at the dragon.
