Chapter 97: The Bond and the Breeding

"It looks like you still want to live." Ava snorted. "Good." She then clapped her hand and the pressure that enveloped the other earlier vanished. "Good."

"Miss Woods Magick is prohibited inside the building."

"I know." Ava shrugged. Then she smiled at the HR Head. "But who cares?"

Seeing the woman's surprised face, Ava snorted. She looked at Mr. Trinidad. "Tell him… he should wait for me," Ava uttered before she uttered another spell. Her body soon disappeared in front of everyone.

Ava's face was red.

It wasn't because she was angry or that she was thinking about Matthew. It was because teleporting herself was too taxing. It wasn't something that she expected but she thought it might be because she already used bigger spells by suppressing a lot of people at once.

Ava knew that her magick grew. But it wasn't endless. Using larger and more powerful spells could exhaust her. Of course, teleportation is one of those spells.
