Chapter 2: Sword and magic
It was the season of spring in Fremmevilla kingdom. The kingdom had seven outer walls for protection. There was a mansion in kingdom where Echevalier family lived.
After coming home, they ate their meals.
Mathias started talking.
"So earny and Etty , do you want to learn magic and swordsmanship? You will need decent skills before going to the academy"
"I will teach them magic" , said Selestina.
"Eh. I don't know about swordsman ship but I am willing to learn magic." , said Erny.
"Me. Me. I want to learn both." , said Etty.
"Alright Alright We will teach you."
Their mom then took them to the library.
Their mansion had a huge library filled with books. The Echevalier was a noble family.
Both of the siblings were given books on magic and mana.
They looked at it with curiousity.
Then they looked at each other.
"Let's start studying bro."
"Yah. I can't wait to become a Knight Runner"
"Me too. I want to become a swordsman."
"Ehh. If I may not be rude dear sister, isn't Knight Runner stronger than a swordsman ?"
"You will see. One day , I will become strong enough to beat a Silhouette Knight myself. I will become the strongest swordsman that no one can ever beat."
"We can't have that sis. It is obvious that my Silhouette Knight will beat you."
"Hmph! Just wait and see."
"Ok sis."
"Ahem! let's start learning shall we." , said Selestina.
"Hai!"
They both read the book.
According to the book, it was said that mana is an energy thats present in the air as well as inside your body. Everyone has a limit for storing mana. You can command mana to change into 1 of the elements of the nature.
There are 5 elements in the world.
Fire , Water , Air , Life , Shadow.
Everyone has an affinity towards one of the element.
They can use the rest of the element but the one with the affinity takes less mana than the others.
*Book is closed*
"I see so magic isn't really that different from programming." , said Erny.
He tried imitating the spell in the book and it worked.
He was happy at his progress.
While Etty thinking was different.
If the mana is limited , then don't you need to make a storage for it? The body is using mana by taking it from the outside without storing it.
So the mana taken has less effeciency.
She started meditating.
She tried. Tried to sense the mana around her.
Nothing was there. But there was something. Something out there. Particles like dust moving everywhere. Atoms of mana.
They were there.
She started imagining it.
And they appeared before her. The atoms of mana.
She then used that mana to do the spell
called "Cinder".
And the candle lit.
Now both of the kids got some basic knowledge on magic.
Her mother Selestina decided to leave them so they can study by themselves.
Etty went to her room so did Erny.
Etty's room was filled with cute stuff.
Plushies and books everywhere.
The floor was covered with a soft carpet of red color.
The walls were White and pink.
She then laid down on the bed and started thinking.
She still remembered her last life.
Even though she loved her friends from before , she have already said goodbye to them. She can never meet them again even if she wanted to.
She adjusted in this world fine after a while of being born.
Her goal was very clear. To live a life that she won't regret. To live a life that she couldn't have lived before.
Only then can she find happiness.
She got up.
And started meditating.
The body didn't store mana permanently. Neither did it have a core. But Magic beats were different. They could store mana in their Ether Heart. At least that's what the books told her.
As time passed by , she learned magic.
She learned many kind of spells. Though she did create most of the spells by her self. Because it was nothing more than commanding the mana accurately and she did just that.
Now she was 7 years old.
3 more years and she would go to the academy.
She and her twin earnesty also were on very good terms.
Sometimes it looked like Erny wasn't of this world. Well she wasn't either. She thought that Erny was same as her. A reincarnation.
After becoming 7 years of age , She was given a sword because of her request.
She swinged down the sword everyday.
Building the basic foundation was more important than sword style so she did just that.
She practiced each and every day.
Her agility rose a lot as she climbed the trees behind the mansion.
She was fast but still not comparable to a Silhouette Knight.
In order to beat one , she would need powerful attacks and evasion skills.
So she trained herself in that.
Due to being a VR gamer in her past life , she knew very well on how to increase her foundation.
With each sword swing her body would become light.
Now she became 9 years old and only had 1 more year left till the academy starts.
Now after increasing her body foundations.
She finally was one step closer to achieving her dream.
Now she was in a cleaning behind the mansion that she made her self.
She closed her eyes.
And moved the sword in her hands.
As the wooden sword moved, she also moved.
Suddenly the Piece of wood infront of her was sliced into 15 pieces.
"Not bad. But still not enough to cut steel".
She then performed her
unique style "Mother of Rosario"
She was still not good.
Tho her sword style that she created was good but it was a bad style for her new body.
If she performed this too many times , her body will get damaged.
So instead of doing more harm to her body , she decided on making a new sword style.
And she then worked on that until she became 10 years old.
Narrator : This was the beginning of her story , her destiny.
