Chapter 74: A small expression of gratitude

I gave this Thor a small punishment for being so rude to me, after all this guy had the balls to challenge me in a friendly duel, and he said he wanted to show the might of Asgard, seriously it reminds me of Thor in my world, who was as stupid, as he is now, well even if he didn't became extremely smart over the time, he is still more sensible than this idiot.
So yup I just gave him a simple and small punishment, all I did was just stop the time of the entire Universe, and then create a copy of this Universe using the Source of Creation, where there was no one living being present, but only soulless copies of the beings of this world, and then gave Thor mental torture and physical as well, in the end he got his well deserved punishment.
Again, punishment is useless if you don't learn something from it and thankfully Thor used this terrifying torture from me as a method to completely awaken his Divinity and ascend to the position of the God-King. In the end, everything was well, and I not only gave the rude Thor an awakening call but also made him stronger which should solve the worries of his parents, aren't I a good God? Hehe.
Anyway, now he is lying in front of him on a Royal bed, his father and mother are looking at him shocked and surprised, as Thor was no longer the third-rate God he used to be, but from the purity and ferocity of Thunder divinity flowing through his veins Odin can tell that he was had become a higher level existence truly worthy of being called a God.
Odin glanced at me well aware that the change in Thor's prowess had something to do with me, since we were in private, he decided to use honorifics and asked," Your Majesty? Is there something you have done with him?", I nodded calmly and replied," Well, as we have agreed earlier I have punished your stupid child for his insolence, obviously, as you can guess I had stopped the time of this Universe and then gave him a severe beating which acted like a charm and awakened his True Divine Prowess."
I nodded sagely, Odin looked relieved hearing that but then shuddered wondering just how severe of beating I had given to poor Thor, to escalate him from a God who can be said only be barely qualified to be called a God by this world's standards of olden times to a first class God. Frigga hearing our conservation remained silent though worry could be seen clearly in her eyes as she glanced at her unconscious son, As of now only three including the Thor lying on the bed like a dead man were present in this room.
Odin took a deep breath to calm down his raging emotions, and said with a bow of gratitude," I thank Your Majesty for educating my stupid son and making him a strong God, despite the fact I had been a great King as a father I had been nothing but a failure, I was always worried about my stupid eldest son, Thor who due to his powers thought himself as invincible, I- Thank you deeply for this", he said.
Frigga looked a bit surprised seeing Odin bow to me, but then it faded as she clearly knew of my identity, and then turning towards me she expressed her gratitude as well, soon Thor woke up and the moment he found his Father and mother standing before him, he broke in tears, crying like a child while hugging his mother, and father who didn't reject his hug as well.
After minutes of crying when he finally calmed down, being comforted by his parents he glanced at me, and shuddered in fear, as a look of panic appeared on his face, I used a magic spell to calm him down and glanced at Odin and said," Well, take the liberty to explain it to your son", he nodded and started explaining him about his rude behaviour, and how that was a small punishment.
Thor's face became gobsmacked as he was told that all that torture he endured from me was just a small punishment, his face looked as if he wanted to tell them how much I had just how brutally I tortured him, but after getting some IQ from the beating he received he kept his mouth shut in front of his parents, though I don't care much about it, as if anything he can do by telling it his parents, not to mention just from the fact that he had ascended to God-King they will rather thank me.
Thus, poor Thor had no way! I glanced at him and said," Oye Thor, don't you want to check your Mjolnir?", hearing my voice his eyes lit up, as he recalled that his beloved hammer hadn't been crushed into a powder in real life, or so he assumed*ahem* the truth is better left unspoken. He quickly called out his hammer, but this time instead of flying to him, it just manifested in his arms with trillions of bolts of thunder cracking around his arm.
" Fucking Idiot! What are you doing?!! Do you want to kill us?!", said Odin, scolding him as the thunder around Thor wasn't just mere trillions of bolts, even something like that isn't fatal to his currently dying position and Frigga but was imbued with pure Thunder divinity that can create cracks in the space itself. Thor chuckled nervously and apologised to him, after that he glanced at his hammer, a little lost.
" Why I am feeling no surge of power?", he said, making me roll my eyes at his balant idiocy, I said," Of course you won't feel any surge of power, since this artifact is way below your league now, well you can indeed use it as a weapon, but it still can utilize your entire strength", hearing my words a look of disappointment appeared in his eyes.
He then glanced at me and said," Sir Raphael, I apologize to you for my rude behavior, I had been so drunk in power that I didn't even understand just how weak and pathetic I was in the grand scheme of things, thankfully after you tor*ahem* punished me for my insolence did I understand how much weak I was", I shrugged while he chuckled with obvious fear in his eyes.
Then glancing at the couple I said," Well, now I shall leave, the party you all had arranged for me was satisfactory enough", Frigga hearing me, said," Your Majesty can't you stay in Asgard? I have heard from my husband how you have been staying on Midgard, compared to there our Asgard in best, and will make sure to give you the finest luxury".
I shook my head and said bluntly," Nah, that place is much more comfortable", thus I disappeared.

3rd pov
After Raphael left Asgard, disappointing the God-King and God-Queen, and much to the relief of a certain hammer god, wait it should be God of Thunder now, who quickly asked his father for permission to go back to Earth," Son, did you really not learned anything?", asked Odin a bit weakly, Thor sighed and replied," Father, I have learnt a lot, and well I understand my responsibilities, how stupid I had been, but Avengers had been an another family and even if I was to take up a the mantle of the King, it should be in far future".
Odin sighed and said," Thor, I am dying", he froze hearing his father's words and glanced at him using his newfound power to check his father's condition and was astonished to see just how near he was death's door as of now. He said in disbelief," H-How?", Odin glanced at Frigga and asked," Dear, can you call my other two children as well?", she nodded, and using her magic, she called them to come in the private chamber of the Odin.
Soon they appeared, and knelt before him, their King, who was still standing as mighty as ever, he smiled and said," My children I have things to tell that I have never told you before, as I am neared than my death ever, I have decided to tell the deepest secrets that I have hidden from you all myself".
They also became shocked hearing that Odin was near his final moments, they couldn't understand what the reason was and questioned him nervously. He smiled and started explaining from his childhood, finally telling the parts which he had hidden from his children, about his shameful past and the behaviour of a cruel tyrant, and how bad of a father he had been, till now his current situation. His children and wife listened all of his words silently.
" Father! Y-You can't die!", Angela said with somewhat moist eyes, Odin patted her and said," Sorry my daughter, but my end is near, that's why I will crown Thor as the new King tomorrow and enjoy the remaining moments with all of you". In the end they had to accept the fact that they have to part with his father soon, meanwhile Thor finally took upon his responsibilities or so he?
