Chapter 18: Invitation
"There he is, he is coming out of the Mission Hall, let's stop him before he uses his ability again" a boy said pointing at the entrance of the hall.
"Hey...you!" they tried to catch up but before they could reach their target had already lifted off.
"Should we continue chasing?" the second boy asked.
"Of course we do, come on"

Meanwhile, after Pel left the Mission Hall, he received a message from Tessa.
<Where are you?>
Pel stared at the message and shook his head. He reckoned human emotions were way more complex than Kerki's.
Just from the message he could sense her panic. It was still morning so what was the use of being worried this early?
"Ito please lead me to Tessa"
[Affirmative]
Pel waited for Ito to track Tessa and he followed the trial. When he found her she wasn't alone, Flora and Adam were also with her and for some reason, Adam's facial expression was distorted.
"What are you wearing" Tessa asked staring at Pel from head to toe.
'What sort of question is that, I'm obviously wearing clothes' Pel inwardly sighed. "Why were you looking for me?"
"We..." the suddenly felt at loss for words. The reason they were looking for him was because they were afraid he would cause trouble, but they don't really expect to babysit him all the time.
Tessa decided to change the topic. "Weren't you given a pair of uniforms as well? why are you wearing regular clothes?"
"Your ways are too complicated and water too much time so I had to go with my option" Pel said indifferently.
They were speechless. He just admitted that he couldn't put on his clothes and made it sound so normal.
"You do know it's against the rules right?" Adam raised a brow, this guy was breaking his senses.
"I don't have a problem wearing the uniform but the creation is so outdated that it doesn't respond to any kind of command. Can't you see you guys are wasting precious time in your lives?" Pel shook his head in pity.
Their faces turned dark, how can he justify not being able to wear clothes like that?
"Hey...you" a voice came from behind Pel.
The others could see two about running towards them and wore confused faces after all they knew neither of the boys.
Pel turned back and waited for the boys to catch up.
"You...the boy that can fly...didn't you know you were being followed, why didn't you stop?" the first one said with wrinkled eyebrows.
They had been running nonstop just to catch up with Pel.
"What do you mean, there was no one flying behind me..." Pel said observing the newcomers.
Tessa turned to Flora and they both sighed. Alas, Pel had already used his hover ring.
The second boy frowned. "We were tailing you from below...you should have stopped"
'Are these pair of humans okay? I should have stopped because they were following me on the ground? It sounds stupid just saying it' Pel stared at the boys and they had no idea what his thoughts were.
"Why were you following me anyway... it's rude"
The two boys finally remembered what their purpose was.
The first one straightened his back and stepped forward. "My name is Tobias and this is Josh...we wanted to invite you to join us"

5 minutes later
"No thank you" Pel refused straight away.
"What do you mean we've already explained it to you, it is a privilege to work for young master Damien" Josh said with an angry look.
"I admire your selfless act. Working yourself, completing missions for others isn't something I would do"
"Are you looking down on us?" Tobias gritted his teeth.
Pel was puzzled, when did he say that? He declined their invitation and now they were reading it in another direction, we're they dumb?
"You cannot refuse..." Josh said with a strong attitude.
Pel frowned, they were getting on his nerve. "I lower myself to converse with you low life form and you think you can speak to me in that tone. It seems I did not make myself clear enough...I'm not partaking in your little congregation of deranged humans"
Tobias felt something inside him pop, ever since becoming one of Damien's subordinates he had never been insulted like that...even when he bullied others.
All he wanted to do was invite this newcomer but he got slapped in the face, there was no way he would take that lying down.
He was a sophomore and not to mention the benefits he had received from young master Damien, even though he awakened an ability that wasn't combat-related his original combat ability wasn't shabby either.
With red eyes, he lunged towards Pel but before his fist could reach the latter he was stopped by an invisible force which repelled his punch and sent him flying.
Tessa and Flora could not react, they were caught off guard when Tobias suddenly made a move on Pel.
Josh was shocked to see Tobias flying in the opposite direction and he glanced at Pel before taking a few steps back.
Pel's gaze turned cold. He was also annoyed at himself for giving the impression that any ant could touch him.
No one knew how many protective items he had on him, even he had lost count of how many he had collected from his dad and brother not to mention the ones made by himself.
This did not mean that he was willing to waste them on an underserving planet.
Pel's cold gaze made Adam, Tessa and Flora keep their guard up.
"Ito! I want him erased...without destroying the floor he is laying on"
Tessa and the other's faces went pale, what he said made them recall what happened when they had the found by Tessa's brother.
[The needle shooter will leave some remains, terror bead will make him implode...mini lesser gun will erase him but will cause a certain level of destruction to the ground]
"Pel stop!!" Tessa yelled.
