Chapter 54: [Bonus chapter] She Would Join

"......" Tavern spasmed. It felt like his whole body was disoriented in that second and his face turned ugly.

All the knights still. Those who were not paying much attention to her so far rubbed their eyes and looked at her again.

Shock was evident in everyone's eyes but the one who was the most shocked was Lia. The bowl from her hands fell on the ground and her lips trembled.

It looked like she wanted to say something but was controlling with so much effort.

"Olivia!" The sound came like the sound of lightning out of the dark clouds that everyone presented shivered. They wanted to shrink themselves into nothing.

Who would have thought that master's interest lies on the other side and they would see it live.

So, the way the master was fighting with Oliver was a love quarrel.

"But isn't he already married?" A knight covered the mouth of Ethan who still was looking at the whole matter objectively.

"Oliver! Tell me if you do not want to live anymore." Alex reached out with his hand and held her collar and raised her high into the air as he gnashed his teeth. "What nonsense are you speaking again? Tell them the truth." The voice was low but demanding as his eyes bore holes into her body but before she could open her mouth and speak again….

"Puke" everyone gasped as the girl vomited again but this time her vomit did not land on the ground.

They all wanted to run away with fear when they saw the hands of their master who was a hygienic freak covered with traces of something brown and larva of the girl.

Alex hands released the girl and she would have fallen on the ground but Ethan and Lia ran and held her. She was looking like she would faint any moment.

Lia stared at Olivia and then glared at Alex as if it was his fault when he was the one suffering.

"Master, you are the one who overdid it and now you are blaming this brat for everything. That is not fair. I think he is seriously ill this time." Ethan checked the pulse of Olivia whose eyes were closed and her breathing was rugged.

"Her back is injured too." added Lia in a bitter tone as her eyes started glaring at Alex as if he was a cruel pervert.

Alex opened his mouth to deny all the allegations when he noticed that every eye was on him. They all were accusing her through their faces.

Alex closed his eyes, he told himself that they are just disillusioned by that brat so he should not beat all of them to death. And that Oliver.. Only his name was enough for Alex to get riled up again. But he took a few more deep breaths to calm himself.

He had a reason to take Oliver into the team. He could not give up after coming this far.

"That brat is talking about my horse riding!" he mumbled but it was clear for everyone to hear that in the silent room where many were even holding their breath.

"Lia, take Oliver in and let him rest for a while. We will talk about other things later." Lia nodded with a look of relief when Ethan assured her.

She held her and helped them in walking out of the tense atmosphere.

Olivia laid in the bed when Lia came back with a wet cloth and cleaned her mouth and neck. But just when her hands went down, Olivia held them and shook her head.

"But there is no one, my.." the fierce look into the eyes of Olivia stopped her words.

"Oliver! Or you can call me my lord. That is it!" Lia nodded as she knew how important that was for her.

"And never even think about cleaning me. My clothes would stay as they are." Olivia added. She was sure that Alex was suspicious of her and it was all the plan to catch Lia and her red handed.

But she had seen enough of these politics in her palace to get rid of these small tricks.

"My la.. Lord! Did.. did it really happen between you and master Alex?" Lia lowered her head and asked in a soft voice with a look of concern in her eyes when Olivia raised her brow.

She really was talking about his horse riding and he had already cleared it. But it looked like others had already misunderstood and did not trust him.

She laughed slowly as her body spasmed with pressure, "do you think he would have been confused about me if he had touched me? Do not be a fool. I have an important task to do and you should know that being a flirt and fool with greediness is a disguise.

I want them to keep believing that I am good for nothing. But you seem quite adjusted here.

I think I am going to join too. Alex has good information in his hands and I have heard that he might go to Sonarise. So, I am going to stay closer to him but you.. You should stay neutral with me or we will get caught." Lia nodded as she saw her grave expressions.

"But what about your back!" she had seen the back of his shirt stained red and how she had winced when Lia had touched her there. "It would leave a scar if it was left unattended."

"Ha! Braves should have a few scars on their body to show their valor. You do not need to worry about it." Olivia could not even think of taking their clothes off to a place where they thought she was a man.

What if someone just barged in and found out the truth. It would only take a few hours for Alex to connect the lines. Before she could continue the door opened and Ethan and Alex walked in with a dark face.

"Out of every room in the building, why have you brought a man in your room, Lia?"
