Chapter 3: CHAPTER THREE ||| CONFUSION
"I'm your beginning and your ending Viviano," I'm Your Mate, have you forgotten me so soon, you promised never to forget me."
"When did I make such a promise, I am just meeting you for the first time, "
I asked him looking at him furiously, he looked up at me and smiled,
"You forgot about me, so fast Maxime,"
He said, now I wasn't quite a very patient person and I was not ready to batter unnecessarily words with a strange old man.
"Where is my mate and what have you done to him and for the last time who are you"
I growled at him, slowly losing the last bits of my patience, he laugh at my attempt and went
"You silly boy"
Did he just call me boy?

The Alpha of Vancouver Pack, I went to pick him up by his neck but to my greatest surprise I was thrown up and brought down by just a flick of his fingers,
I landed on my back and almost lost my senses, .this man just dared me and I was ready to kill and rip him apart from his insides, I didn't care who he was, no one challenges me and goes scot-free, he was about to taste the fury of my hands I summoned Luce, let's show this old haggard how we do it...
Luce didn't respond to me but rather Luce mellowed down before the man in front of me, he almost shut me out but I couldn't allow him to put me to sleep, I wanted to know what was going on...
"No" Luce, "No"
"You're not going to do that to me again, you did it once and you're not going to do that to me again."
I said remembering the time he put me to sleep without my consent.

"Where is Father?
I asked my mum and sister??
"PAA"
I called out, looking towards the door of our house, but there was a trace of him, my heart was startling, and my whole body was quivering.
"Where is Father?
"Mother!
I saw the dejected look on her face, I held my sister and she looked up and I realised she was crying.
"Where is Father Jade, can someone please talk to me!!
I asked her but she wouldn't answer me, my mum held me back and told me to calm down and follow her inside, but I couldn't control the sharp pain that cramped my heart, who was it that I have been so hardworking for, I wanted him to hold my hands and tell me, Son, you have made me proud...
So what the f*ck was my mother saying and why was Jade crying. I was grumbling with rage, next thing I knew I was out like I felt cut off from the world and I knew my wolf had put me to sleep.
I felt my eyes give way for that hot water dropped from my eyes, I cried, I knew why my wolf put me to sleep, he felt the rage I was feeling and knew exactly what will happen if I wasn't calm... he did it fo protect me from myself.
Father was no more, that was the only explanation for their actions, and the thought that I wasn't even present at his side when he took his last breath made me more heartbroken than his actual death, what happened to him, how did he die, was it a natural death or accident or it was someone's doing cause if its the latter then that person and his whole family were going to face my fervour...
"I asked you to sleep V,"
I heard my wolf grunt inside me.
"What do you mean sleep, I need to know what's going on with my father...how can you even put me to sleep right now, Luce,"
And that was the last statement I said...
I woke up in the morning and saw myself in our packhouse,
"What happened when I was out Luce," I asked him?
||*PRESENT DAY*||
"I just want to know the truth, Luce..." So no need to mellow down before him like this.
"Am so sorry sir"
I said as I stood up and dusted myself,
"You see am looking young man named Adrian, he is my mate, I thought he was the one sitting here and that's why I tapped you, I would have left after I realised you were not him, but then you have the same eyes colours like him, I am sorry for any disrespect or intrusion I might have caused"
I said looking at that green eyes that looked back at me with so much endearment and I wondered who he was...
"Why did you disobey the Moon Goddess,"
How did on earth did he know I disobeyed the Moon Goddess if he knows the Moon Goddess that means he knows am who I am and that's when I knew that the man before me was no ordinary man,
"How did you know I disobeyed the Moon Goddess?
" I already told you I was your Mate..."
Just as he said those words he changed from the old man to Adrian...I knew it was those green eyes were Adrian, but the voice wasn't his, it was the old man's own'
"I thought we could have a chat today Alpha Viviano but I guess not, hopefully, we will next time we meet"
But before I could say anything Adrain fell on my body and I tried holding him up...
He was passed out and was sweating, I held him up and took him to my car and I lay him on my passenger seat and I looked at his face, I had thought I had everything under my control but after tonight's event I wasn't sure of that anymore, I thought of the man before me and wondered if it will ever be possible for us, I have felt so lost and confused in my life and I didn't know where to get answers from...
I thought sadly as I realised everything about my life has always been filled with unanswered questions.
But for now, all I want was that I wanted Adrian, I wanted to have him and I wanted him on my bed and that's when I decided that rather than take him back to his house I was going to take him to mine after all our packhouse here in San Luis was part of his Ellesmere Reservoir and it's not that far from his home...
