Chapter 12: Night of Feast
At night Bon and some of the men from the villages came with a lot of meat from their hunt. It's been cleaned and brought to the elder's hut.
Agni on the other hand have gathered a lot of fruit wine for the feast.
They both went into the Chiefs hut to inform Mar that they have done the task given to them.
The next morning, every man in the village is busy for the Moon Worshipping night.
Some of the men's are taking care of the food, some are preparing the wine and some are busy with the ornaments.
The boys turning of the ages has been gathered. They are all excited for this event as they will be considered as a beast man soon and by that time, they can start their training.
Then the night comes. Everyone in the villages had gathered.
The Elder's are in front of everyone and starting their speech.
Mar and Ren came earlier to be a part of this ceremony. Mar doesn't really want to bring Ren with him, as he knows she will get a lot of attention because of her bleeding.
Mar went to the front, "Everyone, tonight is the Moon Worshipping night. The Goddess Luna has provided us everything we ever needed in our everyday lives. She has given us the power and strength of a beast. We do this ceremony every five years to thank her for our gift. This is also the time that the boys in our tribe can be given a chance to turn themselves into a tiger beast."
The boys turning of the ages went in front. The Elder's continued with the ceremony. Putting blood from an animal on the boys forehead and body.
Ren is fascinated with what is going on around her. This is the first time that she has seen this kind of event.
The boys one by one started to transform into their beast form. Everyone around is rejoicing and singing.
Those boys that turned into tigers howl and run into the forest.
This needs to be done, as they need to familiarize themselves in their tiger beast form.
"Everyone can start with the feast. Fill your tummy and drink your wine. Let us all enjoy this wonderful night. Thank you Goddess Luna." Mar said. "Thank you Goddess Luna." everyone repeated.
Mar went back to Ren's side. They sat down on the campfire with some food and wine.
"Everyone is enjoying the feast. I'm really happy I come with you here tonight Mar."
"I am glad that you are happy. Here, take this." Mar gave her some wine.
"This wine is delicious. But the wine that you made are much yummier, I think."
Mar feels really delighted after hearing Ren's thought about his wine at home.
"May I asked you about the Goddess Luna? Can you tell me more about her?"
"She is the Goddess of our tribe. We believe that she is the one who gave us the power to turn into a tiger beast." Mar explained. "Our ancestor said that since the begging of time, the Goddess Luna had given them the power to turn into a beast to give them power and strength."
"Is there only tiger beast in Green Valley?"
"No. There are other kind of beast form in the Green Valley. There are Bears, Wolf, Lion, Gorilla and other more. There are even bird type beast form like Falcon, Hawk and Eagle."
"I see. But those birds are tiny, aren't they?"
Mar laughed, he thinks that Ren are so cute with her reactions. "They actually turn into big birds, the same size as how they are when they are in human form." He explained.
Ren is shocked to hear this. "Isn't it a little scary? To see a big bird like that? I don't think, I would like to see one."
"They are actually a type of beast we don't want to mess with. Specially that they can fly and they are really big that they can lift up two humans at the same time with their claw. They are also not the type of people who are nice to another tribe."
Shivers run on Ren's back, just thinking about those big claws that those birds have.
"Let's not talk about this, I'm having goosebumps just thinking about it."
Mar smile and kiss Ren on the forehead. "Okay, we won't talk about it." He is happy to know that Ren is not interested in those bird beasts.
The boys return from their run in the forest. They turn themselves into their human form. And went into their family's campfire.
Everyone is enjoying the night and the feast. But most men who have no mates yet are really distracted with Ren's presence. Particularly Bon.They smell her and knows that she is in heat. They really want to come and speak to her, but all of them are aware that Mar is guarding Ren so much that he is at her back, hugging her while she is eating and drinking.
The feast ended, and everyone has their fill of meat and wine.
Mar got up and went in front to face everyone. "This night is successful, thanks to all of the men's who helped with the preparation. For those boys who have successfully turned themselves into tiger beast. I congratulate you." He looks at Ren and smiled. "You may all go back to your home and rest."
Everyone shouts and rejoice, lift up their mug of wine up in the air. "Thank you Chief, good night."
Mar went back to Ren and hug her "Let's go back home." He changes into his beast form.
Ren ride on him and they both went back to their hut.
