Chapter 152: A Cursed Cycle

Alex tossed his keys to the countertop as he strolled towards the cabinet and picked a glass before trudging towards the mini bar in his penthouse.

He wasn't one to drink on a daily, but he was becoming a fast lover of it in the past months. He didn't drink much, but he had a glass or two every other day just to keep down the nerves that seemed to be on the edge.

He chugged down the glass and poured himself another. He was about gulping it down when his phone chimed with a notification.

He had no doubt it was the notification for another tabloid release. He had set his phone to notify whenever there was a new release from some of the blogs who had made it their sole purpose to write about this little scandal.

He wasn't one to pay attention to such things, but he couldn't stop himself because of Vanessa. He was worried for her, so he had to know what was written about them.
