Chapter 75: Chapter 75
After 18 lost, the tournament continued like usual, and the next couple of matches were quite standard, once the current match ended the announcer called up my number, and surprisingly Videls as well.
Announcer-"Participants number 56 and 10 come up to the arena!"
I didn't bother looking over in her direction, and I started walking up to the arena, but while making my way up to the arena, I heard Videl and Gohan talk.
Videl-"I'll make sure to give him a piece of my mind!"
Gohan-"Just be careful Videl, Sage isn't one to hold back when it comes to fighting, plus you're already injured from your earlier fights."
Videl-"It can't be that bad, he didn't even fight me when I tried attacking him last time."
Gohan-"The first time I trained with Sage, he beat me till I was unconscious, and the other times I would have at least 3 broken bones whenever I finished training with him, and I was only 8 at that time."
Videl-"T-Then I'll be careful!"
Once I was in the arena I waited for Videl to come up as well, when she finally arrived with her injured ridden body covered in bandages she got into a fighting stance. As we're both in the arena, the referee comes up and starts the battle, but once the battle started I didn't move from my spot, instead, I took out one of the Senzu beans Nala and Korin had managed to produce and threw it at her.
Videl who saw my arm movements, quickly caught what I threw and looked at me while asking with a confused voice.
Videl-"What's this supposed to mean?"
Sage-"Tsk, I don't know maybe use your brain."
After I said that, Videl seemed to get a little pissed before she ate the Senzu bean, once she swallowed it her body started healing at an incredibly fast pace, and soon she was in peak condition. Seeing her fully healed, I got into my fighting stance, but I won't be using any ki, just pure physical power which will be more than enough.
The moment I see her get into her fighting stance again, I push my legs against the ground and using as little strength as possible, I propel myself straight towards her. When I'm in range, I attack her with a jab to the face, which she barely managed but I still made a cut on her face, not giving her any time to rest, I use my already extended right arm and elbow her in the face, this time she managed to block the attack, but it the force of my blows pushed several meters away.
Sage-'Even if I'm using as little physical strength as possible, for a normal human to be able to dodge my attacks is impressive. She has quite the talent when it comes to martial arts, so let's see how far I can push her before she reaches her limit!'
Charging toward her, I continue my assault of attacks, forcing her to go on the defensive, but after a while, she managed to find an opening in my choreographed 4-step attack, and quickly attacked me. A smirk appeared on my face seeing as she finally found the opening I purposely created in my repetitive attacks, I blocked the attack and changed up my attacks, now my attacks are completely different and are a little bit faster than before.
But it didn't take as long as it did before for her to find the opening again and attack me, blocking the attack, I change my attack pattern again, but this time I won't always create an opening, sometimes it will be there, sometimes it won't. It took longer than before but she managed to still find the opening and attack me, so this time I combined all the previous attack patterns that I did before but this time I didn't create any opening, I wanted to see how she would fare when I wasn't purposely making an opening for her.
While we're fighting, I noticed that Videl created a fake opening, looking at her, I can tell she is exhausted from our battle and she probably won't be capable of keeping this up for much longer, so I decide to go for the obvious bait she created. While I was attacking her I aimed my right fist at the opening she created, and when I did, she immediately took the chance and used about everything she had in attacking me. I could've easily dodged the attack if I used just a tiny bit more strength, but I decided not as she would manage to land the attack on me while my current power was still within normal human limits, albeit at the peak in everything, power, speed, stamina, reflexes.
The moment she landed her first on the side of my cheek, I stopped attacking as well. Once we stopped moving, I noticed the amount of damage that has accumulated on her body, and currently, the state of her body is even worse than before she ate the Senzu bean.
Videl-"I…Managed…To hit…You!"
But before she could continue, I knocked her unconscious by attacking the back of her neck, catching her slumped body with my tail, I threw her in Gohan's direction where he caught her, since Videl has been knocked unconscious I won the match. Stepping off the arena, walking back to my spot, but when I pass by Gohan, I give him my thoughts.
Sage-"For a human she's really talented, so make sure you train her well."
Making it back to my spot, I sit down and watch as a couple of other matches proceed, and when the current match finished, the announcer called up two numbers like usual but this time, everyone was excited to see these to fight.
Announcer-"Participants number 44 and 38 come up to the arena!"
Zucci-"Hahaha, I've been waiting for this to happen, get ready to taste defeat boy!"
Vegeta-"Tsk, what makes you think any random Saiyan can defeat me, the Prince of all Saiyans!"
Watching them banter as they make their way up to the arena, even I got excited to watch my mother fight after such a long time, especially when I don't know how big her improvements might be.
Yamcha-"Now this should be a great fight!"
Krillin-"You got that right, just hope they don't destroy the surroundings during their battle."
Onon-"Knowing my wife that'll probably happen, she's the type to forget about everything else when she's enjoying a battle."
Once Vegeta and my mother got onto the arena, they went to the opposite sides of the stage and got their fighting stance, Vegeta's in his iconic fighting stance, and my mother's in a fighting stance that resembles mine a lot, although I'm the one who copied her stance.
Right, when the referee started the match they charge at each other and were about to collide against each other when I noticed a ripple in the air happening above the arena. Once one ripple appeared several followed closely behind it until a hole opened up, right when it did a blue hand came out from the other end, and as the hole got bigger the rest of the body made its way through till they were completely out. Even though it seemed like it took a long time, in fact, mother and Vegeta haven't even collided yet, but right when they were about to, the blue man put his hand up and stopped both of them in their tracks.
Once he did that, everyone finally took notice of him, all of the Z fighters went on alert, but I on the other hand knew exactly who he was. I don't know much about him or his partner, but I've seen them enough to know who they are by their appearance, and the moment I saw him I knew things just got really complicated.
Sage-"Mira!"
