Chapter 77: The Interview
The three days have now passed since Ed came to my home and told me about the interview with Glenda. It was exciting because I would be the first wizard to appear on the TV. But it was also a little nerve wreaking, I was constantly thinking about it and not to mention that I would have to perform in front of all these people. And it's not like I'm only performing for the wizards and witches who have the Illusionarium, I'm also performing for the people on the radio.
I wasn't sure as to how it will all go down. Right now I was getting ready for the interview, Ed was sitting on a chair while I was changing. He was going through the question once again just to be safe.
I stood in front of my wardrobe and thought about what should I wear? I can't dress to casually it's the first time many people will see me. I want to make a good impression.
"Just pick an outfit, lil' rock… you'll look good in anything." I turned to see Ed he was still going through the questions and I sighed and said, "Come on, it's important how I look."
He looked up and said, "Well, yes but I was serious when I said, that you'd look in anything…" He then looked at me and asked, "Did you get a haircut?" He got up and walked to me and tried to touch my hair but I stopped him.
I scrunched my eyebrows and asked, "You just noticed it? It's a pretty big change, Ed?" It was true cause I had cut my hair short it was like a reverse mullet, it looked good on me but I have to say I do miss my old look. I looked a little more distinguished.
"It looks good." He then looked at my wadrobe and said, "Wow, you have got quite the collection here." He held a blue suite up and said, "How about this?"
I shook my head and he said, "I'll put this here just in case…" he was thinking but then just gave up, "Just wear something, will you? We'll be late."
I nodded and sighed and suddenly an idea or more like a look popped in my head, I was a two button black suite and I picked that one and I looked for a turtleneck and I found one it was Vermilion and I put the two together and it went well together. "Okay, I have the dress, go down stairs. I'll be out in fifteen."
He clapped and said, "Thank you." He got out of my room and I quickly got dressed in it. I stood in front of a mirror and I put on two emerald cufflinks and styled my hair.
"Do I get to come with you?" I turned to see and it was cotton, she was finally awake and I shrugged my shoulders and said, "If you want to? You'll be inside the suite so I don't think it would matter that much?"
She shook her head and said, "Hell no! Today is a big day, I'm going!" She climbed out of her terrarium and crawled into my suite and climbed on my shoulders and I said, "You'll have to go inside, when I'm there though."
She nodded and I looked at myself and I looked good but it felt incomplete. I touched my fingers and I smiled and went to my wardrobe and got my old trunk out and I fished around it and I got it out.
Cotton looked at the ring and asked, "You'll wear it finally?"
I chuckled and said, "No reason, not to." I put the ring on and it finally felt like a fit. I nodded and sighed in satisfaction. I made my way down and Ed looked at me and said, "See, I told you. You'd look good in anything." He then looked at Cotton and asked, "She's coming as well?"
I nodded and then Cotton quietly went inside my suite and Ed sighed and said, "Le'ts just hope that she doesn't just out, during the interview."

We reached the new WBC headquarters, it looked quite different from what Lizz had described it to me. We walked inside and We were escorted by a woman to where the shoot was about to happen. While we were walking I saw many women young and old eyeing me up.
The shoot was happening in the east wing on the thrid floor. It was a little weird seeing this place. It felt so new yet so old, it was odd in my opinion.
We reached the studio and we walked inside and I saw the set, it felt a little reminiscent of the late night talk shows that muggles have. There was a long red velvet sofa and a desk made of a dark wood with some carvings of runes but they were like more of a decorations, rather than the actual ones. And the background was that of Diagon Alley, I suppose? I couldn't know for sure.
As I stood there I was bombarded with hoards of people, but then a woman walked over, she was pale as a ghost but her lips were luscious and red. Her hair was like that of Kitty Pryde, black with some streaks of silver running down to her shoulders. She was wearing a deep green dress with glitter and a perl necklace rested near her bosoms.
She looked at me up and down and said, "Now I understand why Ms. Allen wanted to keep you to herself…" I looked at her and she smiled and said, "I'm Glenda."
I smiled nodded, "Jon… I have to say, Liz's word didn't do justice to your beauty."
A blush was clearly visible on her cheeks and said, "You are quite the talker aren't you?"
I chuckled and was enjoying myself but then the woman how escorted us said, "You guys can talk later, like you are supposed to, right now. I want you in that chair." She looked at Glenda and said, "And you go over the questions again." Glenda looked at her but she didn't budge and Glenda had to give it up and go. She looked at me and said, "On the seat now, young man."
I nodded and walked over there and they started my makeup and I asked the girl who was doing my make up about that woman and she said, "That's Julia Harkness."
Pretty interesting last name to be honest.

I was sitting on the sofa closer to Glenda and she said, "Don't worry, you'll do great."
I nodded and Julia clapped to get everyone's attention and said, "Listen up, we are going live in 30 seconds. I want this to go perfectly anyone other than those two screwup you can kiss this job goodbye."
I looked at Julia and Glenda said, "She's pretty good huh?"
I nodded and said, "Yeah… only seen a few people like her… she'll do great in future." Glenda looked at me intently but then Julia said, "Okay people, look alive." she looked at us and said, "You guys, ready?" We nodded and Glenda said, "Born ready."
She walked behind the camera and said, "We are live in 5, 4, 3, 2,"
Glenda looked at the camera or more like the skull and smiled, "Welcome to the first ever episode of The Witching Hour on the Illusionarium. I'm Glenda Chittock your lovely host. Since this is a special occasion, I thought that a special guest was necessary to do this justice." She looked excited and with enthusiasm raised her hand and introduced me, "ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the young man with the voice of an angle and the one in the minds of young ladies everywhere. Welcome, Jonathan Grindlewald House."
The skull paned onto me and I smiled and waved at it, "Hey, guys." The camera focused on us and Glenda asked, "Jon, it's great to finally have you here. I'm excited, are you?"
I chuckled and said, "That's an obvious Glenda, I'm super excited to be here on this special occasion as you have mentioned. I feel blessed."
(Else where)
Tori and Daphne along with Tracey were watching the interview in Tori's house in her room.
All of them were stuck in front of the Illusionarium like flies on honey and they looked very intensely at the screen.
Tracey tilted her head and said, "Damn, he looks even better now."
Daphne and Tori just hummed and nodded at her comment and Daphne said, "Let's just hope this goes well."
Tori sighed and said, "He's doing good so far."
"Tori!" Someone called out to her and she replied, "Yeah mom!" Lily walked into the room and saw the girls lying on the bed next to each other and asked, "Can you help me with something?"
Tori shook her head and said, "Not now, mom I'm watching something."
Lily looked at the screen and asked, "Is that Jon?"
(back in studio)
She chuckled and said, "I have to say you are tough man to get a hold of. I mean you released your first single Photgrapgh anonymously, It did great numbers for any young artist. 13 Million till date. Then we hear you on another single with Lizz Allen in Love story… great song by the way.
She releases her album we hear you there and just one question keep going on the minds of anyone who hears it. "Who is this guy?" Then you drop your Album like a bomb on everyone and everyone surprised to know it was you. Why all this secrecy?"
I looked at her and it was quite a loaded question and I chuckled and shifted back in my seat a little and said, "There are a few reasons, but the major one was that I didn't want anyone to know. If I'm being honest, I wasn't even sure that I was going to do more songs. I was sure that it was like a one time thing."
She looked intrigued and gestured me to go on and I said, "Well, for all of this we have to thank my friends. They were the reasons that I did all this."
She looked at me and hummed and went on, "So your friends made you do this? What was it a dare or something?"
I chuckled and said, "Ah, no, nothing like that. I messed up with them and they weren't talking to me, so I kinda decided to apologise to them by a song. That's how Count on me was made. I sang it to them in Hogwarts."
She smiled and said, "Well, I am thankful to your friends."
She looked at me and asked, "You mentioned that you wrote Count on me as an apology. So like do most of your songs taken directly from some chapters in your life?"
I hummed and sighed, "I have been asked that many times." She nodded and I said, "Well, some are directly from my life, like Silence, talking to the moon, Photograph, The dumb song. While others were made from the experience of other people I saw when I was in the orphanage."
She looked at me and nodded softly and asked, "It must have been tough growing up without your parents?"
I nodded but then I smiled and said, "It was but, it also helped me, in many ways… I used to think that I was alone and will be forever. But now, I don't think that, I have my friends who help me and support me, even when I don't ask of them. I'm really grateful for them."
She smiled and said, "Do you have anything you want to say to them they might be listening or seeing you right now?"
I chuckled and looked at the camera and said, "Do I look okay?"
She just chuckled and asked, "Your album, Daylight has sold over 16 Million as of now. When are you planning on going on a tour?"
I looked at her and shrugged my shoulders and she chuckled and asked, "What does this mean?"
I shrugged again and said, "It means I don't know. I didn't even know it did that much of sales. Ed looks over all the tings."
I looked at Ed and the camera and panned at him and he chuckled and said, "You said, "Not to mention it until it does, 20." The camera panned at me and I shrugged my shoulders and Glenda laughed, "I told you he looks over that stuff. And besides I don't know if I have that many fans to do a tour."
Glenda looked at me and said, "Yes, you do!"
I shrugged again and said, "Then get me to 20 and I'll do it."
Glenda looked at me with sheer surprise at my shamelessness and looked at the camera and said, "Buy his album."
Glenda laughed and I laughed along with her and she said, "But in all seriousness, you do have many fans. Mostly young adults with the largest no here in Britain, then in France and Brazil are tied up. Surprisingly the Baltic's are your fans as well."
My eyes widened in surprise and I said, "Guess, I'll have to do it then."
Glenda chuckled and said, "Well, it has been a pleasure having you here but we are reaching the end point. But before you leave. We had requested that you do a little song for all your fans out there."
I nodded and Glenda smiled and said, "And we'll be back with Jon for a live performance."

(back in Tori's House)
Harry walked around the house looking for his mom. He was hungry and wanted to ask for some food but he couldn't find her anywhere. He had check everywhere else. Well, everywhere except Victoria's room. She didn't like having him in her room. But the hunger was taking over him. So he reluctantly went in, he peeked his head inside, "Hey, Tori, you've seen mom?"
He saw his mom and his sister's friend lying on the bed and watching that new Tv. Tori looked at him and said, "Go away doofus."
He looked at the screen and it was some talk show, some woman appeared and said, "Welcome back Witches and Wizards, we have a very special performance from Jonathan Grindlewald House. Geez that was a mouthful, without further ado. Jon"
He looked at the screen with his eyes widened like they were going to shoot out of the sockets. He saw Jon standing centre stage with a guitar on his shoulder and he asked "Is that Jon?"
"Shut it!" The girls shouted and Lily said, "Honey, honey, shhhh."

I strummed the strings of my guitar and started to tap my feet to the rhythm of the song "This one goes out to you Bella… hope you get my answer."

I stopped singing and playing the guitar riff and by now everyone was getting into the feels of the song.
