Chapter 9: family matters

I intended to sleep here only for a bit, but, why is it noon now?

I stared at the sunset seemingly perplexed.

Then, glanced in a certain direction. From the rooftop, I could see all the students returning to their respective homes using their carriages. Not to mention, my cousins were exasperated while ostensively waiting for someone.

And that someone is me.

I quickly descended from the rooftop and went aboard the carriage.

The irritation on their faces is evidently because of my lateness.

As soon as everyone was present inside the carriage, we immediately departed.

The room was filled with awkwardness. Their furious stares are fully locked on me.

Though, at the end of the day, I don't give a fuck about it.

"You... Why are you so late, we would've departed sooner than others"

"Yeah. That's right. You're so annoying I can't believe we have a person like you in the family."

Just like that, the blame took place inside the moving carriage.

They're like roasters, incessantly making loud and piercing "cock-a-doodle-do" crowing noises in the morning, and this is similar here. Although not in the morning, their endless blame is extremely irritating.

At first glance, I thought their blame is because they are expected to arrive home late. But now that I heard the term 'others', most likely, these guys are just racing with their cousins "who arrived at their homes first" is the origin of their blame.

Sighed-...

I shifted my attention outside the window. Completely ignoring them.

"You..."

Rage can be seen in their eyes after feeling disregarded by the person upfront.

"This arrogant bastard"

One of them raised his fist at me before pushing with full force forward.

The punch has all of his strength applied. Yet the speed of the punch was so slow and sloppy. Thus, I avoided it effortlessly.

As I dodged the punch, he lost his balance on his right foot, resulting in plummeting himself on me.

He was just a kid after all. Moving recklessly would result in a bad way.

However, I didn't let him sink on me as I grabbed his head before slamming it into the window mercilessly.

Bang-...

"What the hell are these kids doing inside?"

Said the guard nearby after hearing the loud bang inside. They didn't notice anyone coming inside, in addition, not even a single strand of mana signature came inside. Therefore, it's safe to assume that they are just playing around.

"Just let it be. Our only job is to make sure the kids are safe."

"I guess"

Drip-...

Blood dripped from his head. In the curtain, a large portion of the blood is evident in everyone's sight.

And, a boy can be seen laying on the carriage floor with blood unconscious.

The room was filled with silence. No one could make a word.

There was a slight yet extremely strong aura that everyone could feel. An extremely super strong aura.

The origin of this aura was only letting out a fraction of his power. Everyone clearly knows that. however, the feeling isn't the same as what they thought it is, causing them to take a step back and sat on the chair unconsciously.

Sweat dripped from their forehead.

As things continued the way it is, I began to speak exasperatedly.

"I want to say this nicely as possible, all of you are dead the moment you touch a single strand of my hair."

I delivered a fierce look to them.

It was only for a moment but they seemed to be out of breath the moment it came out of my eyes.

Their visible reactions are conveying something, it's as if, they saw a ghost.

I sat back in my seat. I removed the curtain blocking my view.

Before I slammed him to the wall, I spread the curtain that blocks the view from the outside. Surely, the guards won't come anytime soon seeing that they ignored such a loud bang coming from here.

As for the almost dead kid in front of me, it doesn't matter if he died. In this world where power is everything, his death is proof of his meaningless life. That being said, even our parents won't care about his life or avenge him. Hence, I abandoned my thoughts of saving him.

No matter what others say, as long as I'm on the top of the food chain, I will be regarded as the irreplaceable king.

My worth is on another level compared to his entire life.

(I don't want to waste my time here writing family matters Lmao so let's get started on leveling up)

2 years later...

The day before the graduation.

Many things had happened since then. Yet, here I am, still sleeping on the rooftop nonchalantly.

"Sigh, I should at least attend the class once. After all, it's the last day of school."

Throughout the entire school year, I've never attended a single class.

At the end of the day, my anticipation of attending the class only during any special test ended up fruitless.

Well, it's not like we can change the past. For now, I have to attend the class.

On the way to the classroom, various students can be seen walking around the hallway. They're cutting classes because it's the last day and this is precisely the opposite of me.

As I arrived outside the classroom, the door made a cricket sound upon being forced to open.

There were many eyes on me including the teacher. Albeit I don't mind it, their gazes are enough to put someone uncomfortable.

However, there is something that is bugging me the moment I step foot here. 'Where's my seat?' Is what I thought.

I've never been inside the classroom before so it's hard to know which chair I'm in.

Leaving no other choice, I decided to sit on an empty chair.

There was visible confusion in their expression that lasted for several seconds. I'm guessing that someone owns this chair beforehand.

Was the owner a bully? If he is, I don't mind killing him later secretly.

Now that I'd mentioned killing, I took a glance at a certain kid around my age.

He has the same last name as mine.

He's the kid that I almost killed 2 years ago on the way back to our home. Many complications and hostilities took place inside the house just because I almost killed him on the spot. Though, my grandfather didn't support him since I'm the only one he is interested in. In the end, justice didn't avenge him even in the slightest bit.

While looking at him, he noticed my gaze and immediately shifted his attention toward the teacher's teachings.

The trauma he suffered is still clearly based on his reaction.

"Well... Let's start with our lessons."

The teacher had a slight surprise on his face before going back to his lesson. It's probably because of my sudden presence in the classroom. Still, everything doesn't matter.

~~~~~~
Ring...
The bell rang prompting lunchtime.
Since I have no friends to have lunch with, I went to the cafeteria to buy food alone.
After that, I sat next to an empty table and eat my food in peace.
While eating, a beautiful girl around my age came upfront.
She has glorious white hair identical to the snow. in addition, her beautiful, gorgeous, and lovely face as well as her bright smile that makes you pleased just by seeing it once is too stunning.
She is way too beautiful in every aspect. I can see why almost every kid likes her. even I, was about to drop my jaw.
Various glares are focused on me.
Is she really just a 7-year-old kid? I was bewildered by this but in the next moment, she began to speak to me which put me back into reality.
"Uhm, can I sit here?"
"Uh..."
Just a few seconds ago, I'll felt like dreaming but now it's happening in reality- Anyway, what should I say in this situation? I've never talked to anyone other than my cousins before so it's hard for me to speak with a person whom I just met.
I'll took a glance at the other tables. I don't know how the person in front of me takes it but my demeanor is frankly indicating that I don't want her to sit with me.
"Uh-"
"You can take your sit here."
I urged myself to be the first one to speak.
"Can I?"
"You don't want?"
"But..."
"But what? Are you trying to convey that you remembered you have friends to eat with? If so, then go away from here. You're wasting my time you know."
I'm saying this not because I don't want her friends to come here but to shove her away if they're on another table.
"No. Sorry. I should've spoken about it first. I don't have any friends"
She seemed to understand what I said just now.
"I see... There are no tables around with people having intelligence sitting around them. I'm pretty sure they would bother you each second while eating, and that would make you feel annoyed."
Nod-
She asserted a slight nod in a way that others won't see it. However, everyone was constantly keeping their eyes on us ever since she went here, thus, they certainly knew what she thinks about them now.
"You can sit here but don't disturb me."
"... Okay"
With that, she sat in front of me and started eating the food she brought.
There was an awkward and uneasy atmosphere between and around us because of the people who were staring at us. Most of them have hatred flaming behind their eyes. But, even after all this, I still don't know why she came to me. Although every table was occupied, there were still some with only 1-3 students around them.
Therefore, her actions and motives are evidently uncertain.
If she has, then my tactics to shut her up are definitely working.
Skeptical people usually don't talk first with the person they just met or with people they have intentions to play with. but surely, being dubious would put a shackle in their moves.
Sigh-
I abandoned my thoughts here and began chewing my food.
Yet again, another person came to us, but this time, there were two of them.
