It was the next day, and as I said before, I stayed at home.
The duels would start at 6 am, normally classes would start at 8 but considering the fact that around 6000 students had to duel each other, they decided to start it early.
I was currently watching the news while mom was cooking dinner, they were showing both the arena angle and the angle where one could see one go inside and outside of the arena.
The incident would start at 5:30 or somewhere near that.
There will be an explosion due to one of the contractor's spells and that would alert the Round Table that would go a stop the attackers, of course, there were no casualties apart from the contractors but the main characters were seriously injured.
But even so.
5:30 nothing happened
5:40 nothing happened
5:50 nothing happened
It was already about to be six, and the start of the first duel but nothing has yet happened. Did the story change or is something going on.
"Wondering why nothing is happening at your little academy, human?", Said a deep voice.

Today was the day of the duels, I know I probably failed the academic exam so I have to try my best during the physical part of the exam.
I was against Keith, and I knew that he wouldn't be an opponent that would be easy to deal with, so I asked Monica to help me practice against her so that I had a better understanding of a fight against a telekinesis user.
It was currently 5:30 and I arrived at the locker room that every student was instructed to attend.
I instantly noticed that everyone or most of the participants were present in the room except Keith.
Ciel and Noel were also here, and you normally would expect the females to be separated from the males while inside locker rooms but we were just here as a waiting room.
I sat next to them and we discussed the upcoming duels, the one that was most worried was actually Ciel. So we had to try and convince her to do her best.
I also felt weird, as everyone in the room had a dark expression and seemed to be waiting to attack us.
I used my skill [True Colors], and was able to see their intentions toward me.
[Waiting for orders to kill], almost everyone here had that intention towards me.
Then the doors to the room opened and a teacher announced.
"Arthur, Keith is on sick leave so your duel will be postponed, and anyone else that wishes to drop out will be allowed to do so right now"
Almost as if waiting for the words dropped out, every single student other than me, Ciel, Noel, and Aso, stood up and left.
Now their intentions changed, [Leave him be], was what it said now.
I pondered for a second until something came to my mind.
'When Keith was announced to be sick and not attending, it was probably then that their intentions changed'
I stood up immediately and headed outside instantly, I could see that Noel and Ciel also noticed something was wrong as they started to follow behind me.
I left the main building of the academy and headed for the main entrances. there I saw my sister and Monica speaking to each other.
They noticed me running toward them and Monica stopped me using her telekinesis.
"Are you trying to run away from your duel, Arthur?", She said in a mocking voice.
"I don't have time for this, miss Monica, Keith might be in danger", I said in a hurried voice.
My sister then said, "Explain".
Noel and Ciel arrived soon enough and I looked around and said.
"You probably know I have a skill that tells me what intentions others have towards me, right?"
"Yes"
"The intention of all the students there was to wait for orders before killing me, but as soon as Keith was announced to be sick and not attending, they all left the room and their intentions changed to leave him be"
Monica and the rest soon widened their eyes and understood that the situation was serious.
"Let's go to his apartment and check if he is okay", Ciel said but my sister replied, "He doesn't sleep in his apartment, he lives with his mom and sister in an appraisal shop he owns in the market area"
Sister then started running towards the market and we all followed behind, as we were running a man started to follow us.
We all turned around to face him but he raised his arms and said, "I'm Ray, a branch manager of the Round Table, I'm not following you because I want to attack you but because I sensed demonic energy in the place where my little body stays at"
[Help you], I noticed that he didn't have any ill intentions so I nodded and continued running, my sister then continued to show us the way and we soon arrived at an appraisal shop.
[Truth], the sign said.
We tried to open the door and knock on it but noticed worked and no one responded.
Ray who was with us told us to step aside and kicked the door open.
Alicia then headed for a door behind the counter and went up, we all followed and...

"Wondering why nothing is happening at your little academy, human?", Said a deep voice.
I turned around and instantly took out my knives from my dimensional bag but before I could even surround them with mana.
A black hand choked me by the neck and lifted me up.
A demon, with three horns on its head, black skin, and red eyes, and also wore a suit.
"AACK!", I screamed as he pressed harder on my neck.
Due to the screaming mom soon noticed what was going on, and tried to call for help using her watch.
I noticed the demon hands move and shouted, "MOM, STOP DON'T DO ANY-"
but before I could finish my sentence a black orb was already headed towards mom.
*Thud
I could see mom's body which had a huge hole in the middle of her stomach fall to the ground.
"MOM!?"
"MOM, PLEASE!"
But even with all my screaming, I couldn't hear a response.
My mind went blank and even with the detective's hat, I couldn't think of anything.
The demon soon smiled and started to speak, "You see, I didn't have any intention of killing her, she just made it hard on herself you know?"
He kept talking and talking but my mind still couldn't understand the situation.
Soon I heard little steps coming from the stairs to the third floor, and Emma was standing there with a terrified expression.
I was terrified of losing Emma as well and the demon soon noticed this and smiled.
"She is quite cute isn't she?", He said in a mocking voice.
"W-what d-dd-o you want?"
"Hahahaha, so you are finally willing to listen to my words, huh?"
"Yes, I don't care what it is, signing a contract or whatever, just don't hurt Emma", I said in a trembling voice.
He then explained how the demons couldn't afford to allow humans to be the only ones able to analyze S+ items and get stronger while the demons had to battle two fronts, so they decided to send him.
"Be honored human, an SS ranked demon has appeared before you, my name is Amadeus, and from now on you will be my little contractor that will appraise the items of all demons, understood? Or do you wish me to kill that little human over there?"
"I accept" and soon I felt demonic energy surge through me and a contract similar to the ones that appeared when summoning appeared in front of me and burned to crisps.
"Then we should now go to the demon realm", Soon a circle filled with demonic energy appeared on the ground.
And moments later I heard a loud banging noise coming from downstairs and soon enough the main protagonists arrived, together with Alicia and Ray.
Arthur stepped in front with his sword in his hands and screamed, "What do you think you are doing, demon!?"
Amadeus then laughed and said, "I'm just taking my new contractor to the demon realm with me"
Soon everyone widened their eyes and stared at me.
But I didn't have the energy, I felt too tired to say anything.
Then I saw Arthur jump in the air and his sword covered in flames attacked Amadeus, but he easily blocked it.
While [Judgement], was indeed an overpowered skill, it still had many weaknesses and one was, that it still relied on stats to deal maximum damage.
In the case of Wilham, he wasn't actually a demon, he was just a contractor that also sold his body, although normally one sells their mind or soul. In the case of those that sell their bodies, they will soon turn into what a real demon looks like.
Meaning that Wilham was just too weak compared to Amadeus.
And soon enough, the demonic energy surrounded me and Amadeus.
