Chapter 7: sure I guess
"…huh" Jack, is the first to say something "can you show us… uh ki?" he asked with genuinity?
"wait you believe me?" I asked with skepticism
I am pretty good at reading people, and dad is asking with albeit tiny but with genuinity
"well, that explains how you can go outside without getting hit by a car…" he said and then continued "and if you can… show us this ki then I don't see a reason not to believe you" he said awkwardly
"honey, I think you are a bit too open minded" Marley said
I met them about a month ago… so I can't really blame Marley for not believing me but it kinda hurt when she said that, in the past month they kinda grew on me, while not family yet something close
I know its weak of me, but living for the sake of myself is hard, for me the point in life is to share it with others, to have someone be there- enough of that cringey nonsense
"…" I was quiet and raised my hand up from my elbow

I checked how ki looks without my bandages earlier, apparently my ki is red.
I tried to change the color, it took some effort but eventually I can turn it into yellow with little concentration, I don't know what that means really, {zone} is white- transparent in color
"I-…" I can see mom's jaw drop "what the fuck" LMAO
"language" dad deadpans at her

"SHUT UP" she calms herself down "I can't believe this, you are saying anyone can use this energy?" she asks rhetorically "if it's true, I can't see why this isn't public knowledge" she says cluelessly
"can you teach me" dad asks looking at where my eyes are with a goofy smile
"…huh, I- I thought you would react differently" I say weakly
"how did you think we would react?" mom asked
"I mean- I don't know how I thought you would react" I thought about it for a second "I don't know why I thought you would react differently now that I think about it" I sighed
"Leo…" dad put his hands on my shoulders with a serious face "can you teach me how to do that?"he smiled eagerly…
"I mean- I could?" I looked at mom
"is it dangerous?" mom said deadpanning
"no?" I answered
"than Jack can do whatever he wants" she says with a shrug "but could you explain what are the extents of ki for me?" she asked seriously
"well, as I said ki is your life force, it's in any living being" they both listen extensively "it can strengthen people to superhuman levels, and can be used as projectiles… also ki can be used to fly" I tried to explain the basics of what ki can do
"can ki… heal?" she crossed her arms "it is life force right? So it should be possible" she raised an eyebrow
Does she want to heal people? I guess she is a doctor
"hmm" now that I think about it, I don't see why it won't work "I don't have extensive knowledge on ki… but I think its possible" I answered as best my knowledge can
"then I also want some lessons on how to use my ki" she smiled a little
Am I really going to teach them ki? Will it affect their peaceful lives when aliens start appearing?
"can I ask why you both want ki?" I asked with a head tilt
"I want to find a cure for my dad" mom said "he has cancer" she said with a tired voice "he will probably die in a couple months" she looked at the floor "but this ki, if what you say about it is true then it can be used to extract cells or heal somehow the body right?" she asked desperately while dad put his hand on her shoulder
Can ki cure cancer? Probably, can mom learn this kind of technique in a couple months?... probably not
"I, I am not sure" I said to not give her false hope
Maybe- maybe I can go to Korin to get a senzu bean? I don't think he would refuse if I tell him my reason, I started learning to fly a couple of days ago, and with my control, I mastered the basics of flying easily, I can't fly really fast but probably as fast as a car right now I should be able to fly up to his tower, wait where was his tower again?
…if I'm right then Goku is trying to revive someone in the village below, shit if I take the wish Korin won't give me a senzu and I can't get to Korin tower and take the senzu and then steal the wish because it will be too late… probably
Maybe… fuck it, I don't need sight that much anyway, I will take the senzu and if Goku still haven't wished I will steal it, if not then at least I can pay back mom for taking me in
"…" while I thought while they looked at me expectantly, they can probably see that I have an idea
"I think I have a solution" I say to them seriously
"what is it?!" Marley stood abruptly from her chair
"I have to ask a deity named Korin, he has some sort of bean that can heal anyone to their peak state" I said to them with a serious face
"…are you serious…" Marley said skeptically
"yeah" I deadpan at her "I am not sure he will give it to me, but I can ask?" I shrugged
"…you mean 'Korin' as in the deity that watches over the sacred land of Korin?" Jack asked with an eyebrow raised "he is real?"
WAIT
"do you know where it is?" I asked him expectingly
"don't you?" he asked "how do you know how and who is Korin if you've never been there?" he deadpanned at me
"doesn't matter, I know how to find him I just need the location" I tell him
"it's pretty far, how do you intend to get there?" Marley asked with a small smile with hope
"well fly of course" I said smugly
"well, I am coming with you" she said resolutely
"I'll come as well" dad added
"huh?? Bu-" I was about to try to stop them
"but what?" she squinted at me
"…but you can't fly" I told her and she raised an eyebrow
"and why do we need to know how to fly?" she asked
"you can either fly or you can climb a couple of kilometers on a thin pole" I told her while sighing
"…" Jack looked at her for her answer
"…how many days it took you to fly Leo?" she asked
"…About 2 days to master the basics, and I'm REALLY good at ki control, I don't know how much it would take for someone who never used their ki" I tried to persuade her
"then teach us" she looked at Jack then at me "I won't let you just go on a big journey to cure MY dad without me helping" she smiled with determination
"…" I looked at her kinda shocked by that conviction
At most stories I know of the Isekai genre the parents aren't growing strong too even if it's for only flying, but I guess… I would do the same as a father
"…" I smiled back at her
"…my reason for learning ki now feels stupid now" Jack then added with a sheepish smile "I just thought it would be cool to be super strong" he scratched the back of his head

sup guys haven't posted in a while, the status of this book is 'kinda dropped' that means that I will upload a chapter whenever I want and you cant do anything about it
anyway people told me the pacing is too quick so I tried to slow it down, the chapter goes more into depth and slows it down while adding to the story at least I tried that it will be
so what do you think is the pacing good? characters good?
is there any idea you would like to share?
or do you just want pics of my feet? (my mom told me I can't :'( sorry guys)
