Chapter 4: Time to gather some knowledge
Today, I woke up very early as I didn't got any ounce of sleep, last entire night. As a result I got large dark circles under both eyes. So when I look myself at mirror, I got confused that whether I am looking at myself or at a zombie.
I heard even some maids were whispering among themselves, due to my such state.
Yeah, Yeah I know that I look like a zombie but atleast can't they talk about me at my back. Why they have to say such things infront of me.
Hmm, so where is my mother , ahh there she is.
{Mother.}
{Oh, Theo you wake up early today , but why you are in such a state?}
{Hehe, I was so excited for today that I didn't have a good sleep last night.}
{Hah, you are really just like your father. Ok then without wasting any time , lets start your lesson.},
{Ok mother.
So, for next few days , my lessons continued my mother teaching me how to read and write. It took me a few months to completely learn reading and writing. Seeing such a fast progress my mother was really satisfied , even my father praised me , as my mother has talked with my father about my decision.
So after learning the elementary study I visited the library to read some books .
The library was large in size and many books on different subjects were available , I took some books on world history, political science and some books on spirit energy theorem. I sat on one of the chairs around the study table , with little difficulty due to my short height obviously and started reading them one by one.
I learned that other than the lioness kingdom there where three other human kingdoms situated side by side along our kingdom and two other kingdoms situated on opposite sides which include mainly settlements of oculus and centipegals. The other three kingdoms are named as theocratic kingdom, revonar kingdom and achelis kingdom. All four kingdoms have friendly relations with each other and maintain trade among themselves. Humans also maintain trade with the other two species but the diplomatic relations among the countries were not quite good.
There is another large mainland seperating itself by large water bodies from the other settlements . The inhabitants of that mainland were called as Dominus species. They have complete hostile relation with the three species and so wars among both parties were quite common. From the books I came to realise that they were the actual holders and only users of chaos energy. Nothing much were written about them other than this.
I was so engrossed on reading that I didn't even realise that the sun has set a long time ago. I only came to realise when one of our house buttler told me.
Aaah , its embarrassing.
Well like this my everyday routine continued ; wake up, eat, spend time in library, a liitle talk with my parents and then sleep.
So my days were going quite peacefully ; but I didn't knew that this is actually the calm before a storm. A storm which will completely change my life as well as put a question mark on my existence.
{Today, the breakfast is quite satisfying.}
{Hmm, its look like today's break fast has been made by mother.}
{ Theo, do you like it today I made all your favourite's including your egg cheese sandwich}
{ Yes, I really like it , thank you mother.}
{ Theo}
{ Yes father}
{ My dear son, do you know today's day is special, can you tell me why?}
I didn't understand why today's day is special , I don't remember anything special today. But both my parents are looking towards me with expectant eyes. So I asked them-
{ Father is anything special today?}
{Hahaha..., my silly son did you forget ; today is your birthday ," Happy birthday " my son.}
{ Happy birthday, theo}
I was completely surprised, how could I forget about my birthday. Actually my parents wanted to give me a surprise so they didn't tell me before hand , I thanked them both. Then father gave me another surprise.
{Theo , there is another surprise for you.}
{ Yes there is a surprise gift for you , but for that we need to travel to certain place , so are you willing.}
{ Yess father , I am really excited.}
I giggled and started dancing due to excitement.
Seeing me like this , both my parents smilled and started laughing.
{ Honey, our son is so happy even before getting gift , then what will he do when he will recieve the gift.}
{Alan, this is why I told you keep it a secret from him, now do you understand.}
{Haha yes now I understand, it was really a good idea.}
After that we made all the necessary arrangements and set off in our carriage to our destination to get my birthday gift.
But little did I know it that will be one of my those worst decision that will fill my life with despair instead of happiness and will make this birth day one of my worst memories in future.
