Chapter 4: BELIEVE ME
When Luca woke up, his eyes quickly surveyed the room hoping to see someone. His dizzy eyes caught a figure staring at him and it was wearing a white dress and that thing immediately brought him back to reality. He instantly jerked away from the bed shouting at the figure only to realize that it was Linet who has been watching him all a while. He quickly cursed himself for being so terrified as everyone bangs in as soon as time could count.
' Are you awake?'
' Are you alright?
' How do you feel now, do you still feel dizzy? Everyone rushed the questions not sparing him a time to talk.'
' I think he's crazy. He just shouted at me few seconds before you burged in and l was wondering if he's in the right state of his mind.' Linet responded staring at him suspiciously.'
' Am fine. And what's the time? Luca quickly asked trying to avoid their questions.
' It's a another day. You've been sleeping since yesterday and it's noon.' answered Lyn.'
' Noon! Ooohh, God. And the..... And the ghost....did you kill it? Did you saw it, where is it?
' Which ghost are you talking about? Calm down. You've just woken up so you don't need to stress yourself now son, you need to calm down.' Mr Sun Han said sitting at the edge of the bed.'
' Papa! Mama! I saw something.... I mean a ghost wearing a white dress full of blood before l passed out, please believe me, there's something creepy in here? He tried to sound clear but nothing was making them to understand them.'
' Son, are you sure you're okay. When we came in, we found you lying unconscious on the floor, and we didn't see anything fishy. We only saw Lyn's night gown on the floor and it is there hanging on top of the table. We thought that maybe you.....
' Mama! Please try and understand what am saying. Am not a kid anymore. I saw blood. And that...the mirror.... The mirror itself was swinging on the wall removing some incredible sounds like hell. Before l passed out l saw that creature coming towards me but it was weak, weak as if someone was draining it's energy away. I swear am telling the truth papa. I saw it with my two eyes, am not blind right.' he begged tears threatening to fall down. His swollen lips were trembling begging for some hearing. No one moved nor uttered a word. They both took a deep breathe staring at him sadly as Alexander walks in with food breaking the silence.'
' You haven't eaten anything since yesterday little broh, here have some then we can talk about it, us two, okay,' he convinced smiling at him. Luca's face immediately lightened when he saw that artilist there was someone who can understand him after all. He devoured the food hungrily as they watch him with questions filling their heads.
Mr Sun Han quickly walked out of the room his wife following behind his brain lagging taking few steps from their room still replaying his son's words. He didn't know whether to believe him or not but according to the situation that he was right now, something inside him was telling him to take a serious note on what he just heard. His wife came in also her face showing a sign of restlessness.'
' What do you think? Is he imagining his own things like he used back in Lagan city or we are the ones not understanding him? She questioned hovering up and down.'
' I don't know whether to believe him or not but l gause we should look on the matter more deeper. According to his state of mind, l know he's sick but still we can't blame him for acting that way, infact it's not his first time passing out, we should wait till we find a proof.' Mr Sun Han suggested taking in more breath hoping onto the bed his eyes staring at the quiet ceiling.'
On the other side, Lyn was pacing up and down inside her room as silence hit between Alexander and Linet. Though she wanted to believe his brother, but how could she when she knows his health. They relocated at these place because of his state of health, and it's barely a week, and here he was saying things that were beyond their thoughts. How possible could be that these house is being haunted. She only knows that it's only in movies that she had watched such scary horror stories, but never had she thought once that all this things do happened in reality.
' Alex, is it possible that he could possibly be telling the truth? She questioned moving towards them.' Alexander hesitated for a minute then with nothing to hide, he said. '
' Maybe we should look for the proof on our own. I heard him saying about the mirror before l burged in, and you had told me yesterday having a dream about the mirror too, so why can't we console the mirror and ask what's wrong?
' How? It isn't easy consulting non living thing? Even though Luca saw it moving maybe it was his own illusions cause he was frightened. How do you believe him when you don't know where to start?' Linet objected giving them another side of thoughts again.'
' Then let's break the mirror and see if it will break, if it does, then we won't have anything negative towards it, but if it doesn't then we will....' even before Alexander could finish his explanation, the mirror again started swinging itself, when out of the blue, they saw an unknown shadow staring at them then within seconds it vanished as the mirror goes silent again as if they were hallucinating.'
