Chapter 25: Schedule and Dorm Room
Closing my eyes I focused on the energy within the black shard and suddenly I felt my connection to the outside world and everything else except for the triple essence that was slowly making its way into my body.
My adaptable body made it very possible for me to do this as most people would explode due to the energy and even if I didn't have it me being an abyssal demon was more than enough. Their bodies were far too strong, how else would they be able to contain every dao in creation and abyssal energy that was not only insanely strong but was also able to take the form of any energy.
Speaking of which, I need to start body cultivation soon and in order to start it I need a blood fruit that would completely temper the body, bones, muscles, and blood. After that one just needs to choose a body cultivation arte and they could start body cultivation. Most people would not even go near body cultivation saying that it cost too much time and resources but for the ones who did both arcana and body cultivation would always be ahead of those who did just one by a large margin. I didn't have to worry about a body cultivation arte since I was sure my abyssal soul would provide me one as it did for my cultivation technique and my katana arte so I wasn't worried about it for now but when I did get it I would put a little more effort in it so it could catch up with my arcana.
After absorbing and refining the energy within the shard everything around me just stopped and for some reason, I could feel three things that I knew to be the three daos I was in the process of comprehending. I could feel the complete stoppage and endless flow of time at the same time, my body melding into space so well that it felt like I existed and didn't at the same time and the aura around me so violent and destructive that I felt the space around me get erased and small black holes started to form, but before anything could go any further the feeling just stopped ad if it never happened to begin with.
"What was that feeling? It felt weird but at the same time comfortable, is it because of my adaptive body or something else?"
I had no way to describe that feeling as it was completely new, even when I comprehended space and time in the past I never had that type of feeling so I honestly had no idea what just happened to me. I opened my eyes to see the black shard was slowly disintegrating into nothingness and before I knew it the black shard was gone.
I was still in shock at how such a treasure could possibly appear. But since I'm sure the world I'm in is a high-tier one it was still very rare for things like that black shard to appear. Taking a deep breath I pushed it into the back of my mind, what's done is done, the shard has been used and my comprehension of space and time has reached the beginning of the fourth layer and my comprehension of the dao of destruction has reached the peak of the third layer. As of now, I didn't need to comprehend any dao, of course, I would still do because now that I am an abyssal demon restrictions placed on others are now redundant to me. For now, I would work on my arcana and my body cultivation if I could start it fast enough but that can be done later as now I have to think about what I need to do as soon as I step foot into the academy.
"I need to get my dorm room and schedule. Shit, I should've checked if they give the good quality ones based on how you did in the tournament, I hope it's not but if it is I'll just challenge someone for theirs."
I really regret not looking deeply into things for this tournament as I would not be worrying as much as I am now, while I'm sure due to me being in Class X I would get a good dorm I hate leaving things to chance or luck. As for my schedule, I wasn't worried about that one bit as all students were able to choose any class they want as their main study and I chose inscriptions and circles. You could only take secondary classes after the first semester ended but that would come later, for now, I need to get settled in the academy.
"I wonder who won the tournament and became the empress's new disciple. I'll ask Lorent if I see him and I hope I get a dorm to myself. Sharing rooms would be a pain."

Arriving back at the academy I placed Night Firmament back in my soul space and stepped out of the AV and walked back into the academy. The place was bustling with students and teachers as they talked about the tournament and the winners.
As it turns out the six of the Seven blessed from heaven actually showed up. Talia Zavaeria, princess of the Dark Phoenix Clan, Jerena Rose, the Dark Phoenixes' top genius, Lian Taiyang, the top genius of the Solar Dragon Clan and Yennifer Nightingale, the top genius of the Lunar Dragons all participated in the tournament and revealed themselves as the four leading females of the younger generation. From what I heard they performed very well but out of them Talia came out on top by just a small margin.
Zantar participated as well but he was doing good until he got to the final round and got his ass handed to by the top genius of the Shadow Hydra Clan, the Shadow Emperor Kellian Fallen.
Thinking about that guy I could only smile and shake my head. Unlike most of the geniuses I and Kellian were actually friends and had a rivalry going on, so to hear that he won the tournament and became the empress's disciple I was a little happy for him. But knowing him he is probably not going to take it as what he calls a 'real victory' since he didn't beat me to get it. He has never beaten me in a battle and probably never will but who am I to tell him that?
What did surprise me is that the Empress herself decided to change her reward and took both Kellian and Talia as her disciples. I had no idea why she did that but that has nothing to do with me.
As for the people who took the remaining six spots, I didn't even put them in my eyes as the royals were stronger than them to the point where it wasn't even a comparison. They would all be expendable pawns in the crown prince's faction.
Shaking my head at those poor fools I kept walking until I spotted Lorent and called him over, we both went into a secluded area and sat down at a table. I was sure he had my schedule and my other information and was waiting to pass it over to me so he could get the fuck on.
"Where the fuck were you?!" He asked angrily and I couldn't blame him as a lot of people were giving me certain looks when I came back. They were probably hoping that I participated since rumors were spreading around that I was part of the seven but I couldn't care less about any of that. Why would expose my abilities for all to see and I'm sure the upperclassmen were going to hound those six to join their factions.
"I was busy. Besides even if I wasn't I was still not going to join that tournament as I see no gain from it and don't even bring up the apprenticeship, you know that I don't want anything to do with the royals." I said
Lorent laughed and shook his head and said "I still don't know why you are so avoidant of them but you will come in contact with them sooner or later, you know it and I know it. But that doesn't matter, I've already sent your schedule and dorm room number to your holocube, after you are done go to the conference room. The rest of the seven are already there and you will meet with the principal of the academy." he relayed and vanished quickly.
I looked at the details on the holocube and saw my schedule and room number, my schedule was as I requested so I didn't look at it for long so I paid more attention to my dorm room I couldn't help but be impressed with my dorm room. It gave me the vibe of a luxury suite of the four seasons hotel. Turns out all of Class X had dorm rooms like these but Seven Blessed from Heaven got ones a cut above the rest. But this wasn't to make us complacent as we could get challenged and lose our position and benefits at any point in time, the rooms and perks were more like motivation for the rest to take us down.
I then switched away from my school info and started doing something I've been meaning to do for a while and now can since I'm in a hidden area, get into the school database. It's not confirmed but I'm sure the school has installed backdoors into our holocubes that they were able to open via the transfer of our school info. I wasn't taking the chance so I decided to test my theory and if it is true I would use that backdoor as a way for me to get into the mainframe and gain control of cameras, info, blueprints, etc. I went through nodes and codes and I finally saw what I was looking for and shook my head at the naivety of these students and the school, I wasn't worried since my holocube was encrypted to the max so they would only see what I allowed them to see but for the rest, I could only send them my prayers. Especially the meat beaters and sex fiends of the school, it seems like you are gonna help some of the weirdo employees relieve their stress.
Setting up my backdoor and downloading the info that I needed while also hiding my presence and erasing my footprints, I finally stood up and made my way to the conference room.
'Hmm...if I recall the four ladies are extremely beautiful, especially Lian and Yennifer have seductive and flirtatious personalities while Talia is aloof, graceful, and elegant. Jerena is arrogant and prideful and looks down on everyone but I would like to see if she can put up the same act in front of all of us.'
