Chapter 18: An Alicorn's Promise
Slowly...very slowly...my knees twitched, as did my legs...
They continued to twitch, continuously as I struggled to lift myself from the ground, Celestia's hind-legs began to do the same, as her small filly arms, I managed to move my leg...and my arm...simultaneously in a millisecond...before slowly...I began to move into my knees... Unknowingly with me..With Celestia...she closed her eyes...she was panting heavily...but she moved with all of her might too as she felt her partner move too.
She slowly did the same movement; The both of us in a crouch position on the ground. Both knees and forearms on the ground below, both of us panting heavily and sweat dripping down our skin and fur.
Celestia opened her eyes, though they could only open half-lidded do to the strain...With I though.
My eyes were fully open, and although they were strained, they were fueled with equal determination as Celestia's eyes were...
Both of us ..as if thinking simultaneously...bent our elbows at the ready.... before slowly with all of their might began to lift up...
Each second....followed by another....than another...what felt like hours...the two managed to slowly rise up...only to fall... I caught myself with my hand, as I was lucky it was already off Celestia fell with me...but my arm caught her fall as she put pressure onto my arm to stop herself..
Before we attempted the action again... the two of us...the two of us managed to stay like that for a long while...
After a long moment..I and Celestia at the same time, gave off a loud grunt/growl of determination...before the two of us began to slowly rise using all of our might..
Tense silence as the Royal family watched on, a mix of emotions running through them, but now...Pride...nervousness...and interest..."
After what felt like an eternity...the two of us managed to get to our feet and hooves...both of us panting... but I felt a sense of pride in me, and I could tell without adoubt Celestia felt the same...I was proud of her..and a bit shocked that she went through all of this with me.
"Congratulations my son." my father said with a small proud smirk on his face, "You managed to overcome the challenge of getting to your feet."
'Screw that, this is some Dragon ball z type crap right here...' I thought with a blank expression as I panted. "I am also proud of you too Tia-dear..." Ashteia said with a small smile, "You saw my son struggling and instead of staring at him watching him suffer, you willingly went by his side and refused to let him suffer alone.."
I don't think Tia heard her, she had her mouth open and her tongue was dangling out of her mouth, she was really exhausted I could tell..
If I could scratch behind her ears or just cuddle her tightly to my chest as a show of appreciation, it is something she likes me to do to her...
No not like that, that is extremely taboo, and I will not even think about something like that with an Equine, she is my partner...my bro..er...sis in this case.
With Tia though...Her partner was suffering, and alone..as some...being did this to him...She just couldn't watch as her partner suffered, No...She had to help...or at least.. try to....She would never let her Partner suffer like this alone her parnter had did so much for her... So
...Every step of the way...She would be there...she would be by his side..
Even if it meant joining him in his suffering.
She will never leave his side.
That is a promise.
