Leaf Village.

It is the strongest village of all five, both in military and economic power.

Its streets were full of vitality and peace with children running around while playing and adults working with smiles on their faces.

Within this crowd of ordinary people strolling through the village, there was a little girl with platinum hair. Since her hair was somewhat unique, people looked at her with a bit of curiosity.

The little girl, however, didn't seem to notice, or rather - she simply didn't mind the stares as she walked slowly in the streets.

The little girl was, obviously, Chikaze, who is now seven years old.

During the last year, she hasn't changed much. Her body grew a little, as well as her hair; with less baby fat, her features became sharper, and now she looked like a young kid.

When Nonomi told her a year ago that she would do anything to prepare her to become Shinobi, she really meant it. Nonomi literally shoved knowledge of the basics of what they teach at the Ninja academy into Chikaze's head, as Chikaze intended to join the academy when she is nine.

It wasn't that hard to learn the basics, as Chikaze was a teenager in her past life; she has much more mental power than other kids her age. She was still far from the level of a young master or young lady of one of the big families like Hyuga or Uchiha, but she was better than most of her future classmates from normal families.

Unfortunately, that was only in the theoretical subjects. She was still far behind in the combat department compared to the young masters.

Nonomi taught her the basics of combat and chakra control which was what she would most need to use at the Academy, but that was it. She was confident about hitting children from ordinary families, but even the weakest young master from great families would destroy her, for the simple fact that they train from the age of four.

Not to mention that all the big families had their unique techniques or dojutsu. On the other hand, she had nothing like that.

All she had, according to Nonomi, was a slightly better-than-average talent in chakra control. Chikaze was already able to keep a leaf stuck to her forehead for some time - an exercise they would teach her in the academy in the future for chakra control - but she needed to concentrate as hard as she could to not let the leaf fall.

The only thing Nonomi didn't teach her was Ninjutsu, because according to her, 'It's too dangerous and early for you to learn ninjutsu, no matter how smart and mature you are'.

'Yeah, sure. Tell that to the clan leaders who are probably already teaching their children Ninjutsu strong enough to kill,' was Chikaze's thought in response.

Chikaze was frustrated. Very frustrated. She knows her mother has taught her a lot over the past year, even compared to other ordinary ninja families. But it wasn't enough. If she wants to survive, she would need to be at a much higher level than she is now.

That was why she made a decision.

She needed a new teacher.

Nonomi was a great teacher, but unfortunately, she can't help Chikaze at this point for two reasons. One, as a mother, she subconsciously often slacks off Chikaze's training as she doesn't want to see Chikaze suffer. Two, she was, unfortunately, a Chunin, so there was a limit to how much she could teach Chikaze.

Chikaze wasn't doing this on the sly, obviously. It took a lot of effort to convince her mother that if she wanted to get stronger, she needed a teacher who was up to the challenge.

When Chikaze mentioned this to Nonomi, she threw the tantrum more than a four-year-old, for the simple reason that she would have less time to play with Chikaze.

Nonomi knew her limits, and didn't feel the least bit sad or offended that her daughter had insinuated that she wasn't good enough to teach her; she just wanted to be with Chikaze as long as she could.

Unfortunately for Nonomi, Chikaze didn't waver in her decision. She was convinced of her decision, and Nonomi could only accept it while sobbing on the ground.

If someone from the outside saw such interaction between Chikaze and Nonomi, they would be left in doubt as to who is the adult and who is the child between the two.

Returning to the topic. Chikaze needed a teacher who didn't pity her, and who would push her to the limit.

In reality, she had two teachers in mind - one for Taijutsu, and one for Ninjutsu. But only one of them she is sure he will teach her. The other, she has no idea how to convince him.

After walking for some time, she stops in front of a house. It was as simple a house as hers, but the person who lived in it couldn't be more strange.

It was quite simple to get the address of the person she was looking for. She only had to ask some ninjas who also wandered through the village for directions.

She took a deep breath and knocked on the door.

After an incredible one and a half seconds, a man opens the door with a bang. The man looked right and left, looking for who knocked on the door, until Chikaze coughed to get his attention.

The man looked down and saw Chikaze standing in front of the door. "Hm? Do I know you, young lady?"

Chikaze smiled when she saw the man she was looking for. She was lucky he was actually home, as the chance of that was pretty slim.

The man was wearing rather childish dark green pajamas, but what stood out most were his thick eyebrows and his black bowl-cut hair.

This man was the kindest-hearted ninja she knows, as well as one of the strongest and most charismatic.

Might Guy.

Rather than answer his question, Chikaze bowed and exclaimed, "Please, teach me the way of youth!"

"..."

"..."

The two were frozen without saying anything, and with each passing second, Chikaze became more embarrassed as she looked at the ground.

It was then that Guy laughed out loud.

"Hahahaha! I don't know who you are, young lady, but I like your YOUTH spirit!"

Chikaze raised her head with a smile and anticipation. "So can you train me? Please?"

"Oh, sorry, I can't," Guy answered without hesitation.

"....Eh? W-Why not?!" Chikaze exclaimed in shock. She was absolutely sure that Guy would teach her Taijutsu, but now her hope has shattered like glass.

"Well, because today is my day off."

"...Oh..."
