Chapter 3: Chapter #03: Not So Useless

Ijin was curios about the items that he had gotten from defeating Colton but they didn't seem good. He decided to open check them anyway.

[Item: VR Evolution] [A Rank]

[Once this item is used the user will have access to a virtual world at anytime. In this world the user is allowed to train there skills and fighting ability. The user is also able to master and practice all types of Martial Arts.]

"This is actually a very good Item, what the hell was I talking about before?" Ijin said with excitement.

[Item: Jelly Bean] [C Rank] [Replenishes Stamina & Health]

[Item: Prophet's Script] [Can only be used once] [B Rank]

[Permanently increases one Stat by 7]

"I think I should use the prophet's script item with my speed. Maybe I should put it in Strength. Nah speed is the way to go at the moment I'll use this one for now.

[Prophet's Script has been used] [Speed has greatly increased] [Speed: 11]

Ijin now had 11 total points in speed and the Prophet's Script had disappeared from his inventory, he thought this would happen since it does all the time in the video games he plays. He was not happy to see his speed up so high and he was only level 2. His attention had turned towards the VR Item that he had gotten.

He then realized that he was in school and decided to wait until he arrived at home to use this new Item. Ijin couldn't wait till the bell had rung.

Everyone was still shocked from the sudden defeat of Colton. This now meant that Ijin was the second strongest kid in his class right behind a mysterious boy named Kale. Even though Kale had no friends in the class, not one person in the classroom could beat him in a head to head fight. He was the only first year that Blake had avoided.

Due to Kale having no friends he just slept through most of the school day, Ijin thought that he could relate to Kale because he they both didn't have any friends. Ijin was getting a lot of attention in the hallways and in the classroom because he had beat Colton and the news spread through the school like a Wildfire. So Kale didn't feel a mutual relation between them.

Ijin decided that he would attempt to approach Kale to make friends. As Ijin begin getting near Kale he was instantly filled with Fear and met with a Gaze that was as cold as Ice.

Kale stood around 5'8, he had very silky brown hair and his eyes were hazelnut. You couldn't deny that he wasn't very good looking but everything about him had seemed off to Ijin. Besides from the height and slightly toned body, Kale had him beat in every aspect. His Gaze was as deadly as a cobra when it goes in for the kill.

Ijin begin to back away from Kale instinctively, he could sense that Kale was very dangerous and he clearly didn't want to be disturbed.

Everyone in the classroom had their attention on these two, they were trying to see what was going on. Some students earlier had rushed Colton to the Nurses Office. Colton had woken up after a few minutes of being rushed to the Nurses Office. He could still feel the pain and fear Ijin had installed into him.

The news that Colton had been defeated by Ijin had eventually reached Blake. The halls were a bit noisy because something or someone was outside the hallway. About 10 minutes the door to Ijin's class had swung open.

A boy with pale skin who stood around 5'10 with curly blonde hair had walked in, it was Blake. Everyone that was standing had moved out of the way to avoid being caught up with Blake. He was clearly searching for someone, everyone including Ijin knew that he was looking for him. Ijin went to hide in the back near the window.

Blake had spotted Ijin and calmly walked over to him. "So I heard you beat Colton. Since I don't see him here right now I assume that it's true." Blake said calmly.

Ijin had been filled with fear from the words that had came from Blake's mouth. He was brought back to the old days when Blake would beat him for even looking at him wrong.

"Yes I did have a fight with him but he had passed out before I even hit him." Ijin said with fear. You could heat the Ijin's voice begin to shake as he was speaking to Blake.

"So how about me and you fight, we can make it quick. I won't go all out in this fight so you have nothing to worry about." Blake said.

Ijin had begin to speak again but was immediately cut off by someone else's voice.

"Blake go to class, not only are you disturbing my sleep, but your picking on Ijin for beating one of your Lackey's." Kale had said with a voice that seemed emotionless.

Blake had froze in place. He didn't realize that Kale had been in this class, Blake still vividly remembers the beating Kale had given him a few months ago. This had given Blake a fear that had never felt from anyone. His body was freezing cold and you could see sweat coming from Blake's Arm. Without saying a word, Blake had walked out of the class just like he was told to.

The bell had finally rung, this indicated that it was time for all the students to leave and go home. Ijin was excited by this because this meant he finally got to try out the VR item that he was given. He was very curious about it.

As Ijin had walked out of the schools gates he was stopped by a very beautiful women.

"Hey, um Ijin, do you mind If I could get your number and maybe go out sometime." The girl has said nervously.

This surprised Ijin, he wasn't used to anyone speaking to him. Let alone a girl speaking to him not only was she just a girl she was very beautiful. She was 5'4 with tanned skin and long black curly hair. Her eyes reminded Ijin of the ocean on a very calm day such as today. Ijin gave the women his number and headed home.

"Finally home I think I should try out the Item now." Ijin said completely disregarding the girl from earlier.

[Now being transported to Caldera.] Ijin had arrived in a world that seemed very real but he knew that it was just the VR system. He was prompted with 3 different options upon arrival.

[Training] [Battle] [Guides] Ijin had picked the "Training" option, he didn't care about the other options.

When he clicked on this option he saw a whole list of things that he could practice. They ranged from Martial Arts to Skills that he had never even heard of, the skill's were locked but all the martial arts he had seen were unlocked. Ijin had picked the "Kickboxing" category to learn first.

After about spending 6-7 hours in Caldera, he decided to head back to the real world. Time seemed to flow differently in Caldera it seemed to go much slower than it did on earth. If you spent 5 hours in Caldera it would only be 5 minutes on earth. This meant that Ijin was able to learn martial arts very quickly. So Ijin had spent 6-7 hours in the real world but in Caldera it felt like Ijin had been there an entire day.

He had learned almost everything about kickboxing in a couple hours while it took others years. Although he hadn't mastered it he was close to mastering it. Since Ijin had 11 points in speed his punched and kicks would be much faster and to top it off he now knew kickboxing. Ijin decided to go to sleep after realizing what time it was.

It was now time for Ijin to wake up for school & do his morning routines.

Ijin took his morning route to school but he wanted to make it there a little earlier so he didn't have to run into Blake. Ijin started running, he could definitely feel that he could gotten faster. If it was before, while running to school Ijin usually got there in about 23 minutes, he got there in 14 minutes today. Although he was a little tired from running from so far. He used the Jelly Bean Item and instantly was relived from his fatigue.

Ijin's body begin to start freezing and tensing up, he didn't know why but he could sense a very dangerous presence near him, it felt like he was going to be consumed by this presence. Even though Kale had made Ijin's body freeze and tense it was nothing compared to this. Ijin felt like he was being suffocated, and begin tied up. Just then someone had walked past him and into the school building.

Shortly after being relived from the dangerous presence, Ijin senses begin to return to normal, even though no one was supposed to be at school this early besides the teachers. There was someone. After taking a few moments to calm himself down, Ijin had just now realized who had walked past him a few moments ago.

The known prodigy of the school and the one who was quickly recognized by the four leaders of the other schools for his exceptional fighting ability, the one who became head of Hanlim High in just two months as a First Year. The Top Dog of Hanlim High.

His name was, Shinji Komatsu.
