Chapter 2: The Beginning
Year 2851 the world had witnessed an outburst of an evolutionary body cell known as Alteration Cell (AC) for short.
The cells were both witnessed in men and animal, soon men's best friend become his worst enemy animals with AC had gone mad for human flesh and become dangerous beasts .
Other superpowered beings started to cause major chaos and governments fell in the process leaving most of the lands into waste lands where the beasts roamed seeking human flesh .
50 years later before the human race was almost instinct the superpowered came together to form the justice which was a system of superpowered individuals who were dedicated to protecting the human race from any evil . They build walls around cities to prevent the beasts from taking anymore human lives but such privileges were received by the superpowered or the rich.
The fifty years of war between men and beast, men and men had cost the lives of those who had no AC , but not completely about 9% of them still held on a strand of life and we're dumped in the waste lands because they couldn't pay the life. Jobs were received by the superpowered only, the non evolved humans were treated as broken and unexisting.
And a young boy known as Aaron Kith was among the unfortunate 9% and he knew that it was a death sentence brought straight by Mother Nature . So he invested his time in technology and mechanics so maybe one day he could create something that would throw him to the top and have a fighting chance.
Aaron lived with his father who was a technomage which means he could control any kind of technology and gain deep information about the tech, he shared his secretes with Aaron trying to tech him something because since they lived in the waste lands there was no school .
It was Aaron's 19th birthday but he seemed too stressed to even remember his own birthday , his hands worked fast on a clock like device it was the size of a pocket watch .
He assembled it and dissemble it then redid what he had done.
As he kept on doing the same thing over and over something clicked in his mind , he saw a blue mist forming before his eyes. What the !! I need to sleep as he ignored the blue mist thinking it was his tired and stressed mind playing tricks on him.
However his mind was still stressed Aaron force him self to sleep but he knew he was gonna be attacked by his regular nightmare.
In his nightmare he sees himself being pulled into the darkness , finally dieing he woke up before his face was submerged under darkness .
These nightmare was starting to be regular thing but his fears where still fresh as the first day, he woke up from his sleep with his body covered by sweat.
He went from his small room to the kitchen and opened the fridge to get some water . Hey dad he replied to his dad who was fixing a bike as he chucked the water in his mouth.
What's wrong is it the nightmare again said a man with well bullied body and a dark tone of color. His name was Canton Kith bud the waste land dwellers called him crow.
Yeah it's the nightmare maybe one of these days am really gonna die responded Aaron as he lifted the bottle up to take another big sip to kill the nerves. Your not gonna die son now take these keys and head for the scrap yard we need batteries for the later fence those might give out any time said Canton as he threw keys to Aaron who immediately cash's them.
Aaron went back inside the house to suit up, he wore his long boots, a jacket and a short sword . He rode the bike and zoomed away into the red dust towords the mountains of metal.
As his bike is no high speed he sees the mountains of scrap nearing by and so he reduced speed so not to attract scavengers . Scavengers were people who were part of the unfortunate 9% population without powers so they made a leaving by robbing other wasteland dwellers .
Next to the first mountain of scrap Aaron had made a hidden spot to hide his bike and any other useful things . He then wore a pair of goggles designed to seek out energy signatures and started to search around for batteries .
After long hours of searching under the harsh sun and dusty environment Aaron decided to get a rest in an old car.
His eyes immediately go shut and he went to sleep but the sleep wasn't a pleasant one it was the same nightmare that caught him off-guard every night but these time it was different there was someone screaming behind him.
As usual he woke up before drowning in the darkness but the screams did not end there, so he went out to investigate the cries .
In a distance Aaron saw four men dressed in dirty white clothes busy holding down a girl an one of them was preparing to lower his pants down. Aaron knew exactly who they were just by looking at their behavior .
Damn it's the moth brothers these guys totally lost it through these heat.
As he went close to inspect his goggles started making a beeping noise notifying him that it found what he was looking for but these was not the time, Aaron was just formulating a sneak attack but the goggles just gave him away.
Uhh what was that boys? questioned the man who was just preparing to take of his pants. I don't hear anything man let's just get in her before she attracts more said another , I guess your right as he started to undress the girl.
The girl screamed and kicked but nothing seemed to work for her, luckily Aaron was now close enough for an ambush attack.
From the corner of his eye the man who was undressing the girl saw a sliver blade coming for his face but before he could react the blade had already slipped into his neck dropping him dead, the other scavengers too only realized when a bloody body dropped dead.
The immediately looked to the direction of Aaron who now willded two metal rods sharp as spear, YOU LITTLE SH*T HOW DARE YOU ATTACK A MOTH BROTHER screamed a man who just saw the body of his commrade chocking on a sharp blade .
Because the MOTH BROTHERS are weak said Aaron trying to anger them into attacking with out thinking and that's exactly what they did, and the first man to run for an attack was met with a flying rod sharp and pointy as a spear. The rod gracefully crash into the man's eye and almost to the other side of the head.
The scene was truly horrific but that's the regular life of the waste lands no law. kill that son of a BITCH !!! screamed one man who just saw his next brother fall.
It was no two versus one nothing he couldn't handle because he was trained and they were not, so they depended on numbers instead of skill but they couldn't properly coordinate there attacks they failed to hold him back.
These time Aaron didn't wait for them to attack but he just dashed at them screaming causing panic in them, they hesitated as a result and he sent his shoulder into the first man's chest causing him to fly several feels away and before the second could throw a fist Aaron thrusted the metal rod deep into his stomach causing it to burst to the other side.
The man who was down chocking for air began to beg with hand gestures and his eyes filled with terror . Aaron however knew about the life of the wastelands if he were to let him survive he would come back with his friends who are just around here somewhere .
You know I can't let you live, just accept it and die .As Aaron said those words a loud bang was heard was heard and the begging man's head exploded from a bullet .
As he tried to look around he felt metal piercing through his flesh and breaking bones. His body started to leak red blood and he dropped on his back.
He felt a similar feeling immediately after falling to the ground . So these is the darkness I drown in, the one from my dream these is it. He thought to himself as his mind become wrapped by darkness .
