Chapter 3: Chapter 003- Third Hokage
"Everyone, listen carefully. This will be my last order as a Hokage to all of you." Tobirama said with a solemn expression in his face. Even though he noticed the sad atmosphere around everyone, he just sighed a little and continued his speech.
"As a Second Hokage of Konoha, I am now formally appointing Sarutobi Hiruzen to be the Third Hokage of Konoha. I hope you all will assist him." Tobirama took note of everyone's expressions.
Everyone's expression looked normal and didn't seem to be opposed to his decision except for one person. Danzo showed the expression of reluctance and jealousy during his announcement for a split second and it didn't escape Tobirama's eyes.
'I hope Danzo wouldn't do something stupid in the future. Even if he really does something, Sarutobi should be able to handle it. After all, his wisdom is far superior to others.'
Tobirama didn't dwindle much in this topic as he told everyone to escape as he stayed behind to intercept the ninjas chasing them.

After reaching the border, Sarutobi Hiruzen quickly ordered the ninjas stationed there to quickly go to the place where Tobirama stayed behind. Even though, Tobirama didn't bring many ninjas with him in the meeting, he did station dozens of elite jonin in the border in case something goes wrong.
"Sarutobi, should we go as well?" One of his teammates asked.
"No there is no need. If teacher is still alive then the ninjas sent by me is enough to solve the crisis. Not to mention, with our exhausted body, we wouldn't be of much help. If the teacher is not alive then...." Sarutobi didn't finished the sentence as he shed a few drops of tears.
Everyone else's mood became gloomy as well. Sarutobi wiped the tears in his eyes and said to his companions, "We shouldn't assume anything negative. After the ninjas sent there come back in a few days, everything would be clear. Now we should quickly recover from our injuries and wait for the news."
Sarutobi and others then stayed in the camps in the border for a few days before the ninjas sent there finally came back. But the news that they brought back broke everyone's heart.
Tobirama has been there when the Konoha was born. In these past 33 years, he has been the one to truly shape the Konoha to what it has become today. So, the death of such a person truly shocked all the people present here.
Even though everyone is accustomed to death to some extent, they never imagined that their beloved Second Hokage will die at the of 55.
Seeing the sad atmosphere, Hiruzen gathered everyone's attention towards him and said, "I know everyone is sad because of teacher's death. I am sad as well. But we can't let our emotion get better of us."
"Teacher has given me the position of Hokage before his death. And I as the Third Hokage of Konoha promise to you that teacher's death will not go unanswered. After I manage to get organized again, I will take revenge. That is my promise to you all. But for that, I need all of your support. Are you all willing to accept me as your Third Hokage?" Sarutobi asked in a authoritative voice.
'It seems I managed to get Tobirama sensei's charm and oratory skills as well. This would help me a lot in convincing other people in the future.'
As the ninjas gathered there listened to the speech of their new Hokage, they got momentarily drawn into it because of the sheer charisma of the man giving the speech. All of them except Danzo has already started to see their new Hokage as their true leader.
It can be seen that as long as Sarutobi doesn't do anything too stupid while managing the village, it will not be a problem for him get a bunch of loyal soldiers at his bidding ready to die for him.

---Konoha year 34---
It has been more than half a year since the mournful day Konoha lost their leader. Especially the civilians, they still haven't been able to come out of the fact that their beloved Second Hokage truly died.
But the good thing is that the newly appointed Hokage isn't someone incompetent. He sometimes gives them the feeling that he could become even better Hokage than his predecessors. Especially after hearing his speeches and the new polices that he made for them truly made them loyal supporter of him.
Not just the civilians, even the ninjas from the clans got truly convinced by his abilities. Though at the beginning, there were some discontent among some clans specially the Uchihas.
Since they knew it would be quite impossible for them to make Sarutobi Hiruzen to step down, they choose the next best option which is to lower the power of the Hokage. For that, they not only contacted Sarutobi's teammates but also got the Daimyo involved as well.
Unlike the original, where Daimyo had some control over the internal affairs of Konoha, currently there is no such thing. It could even be considered that Daimyo is in the subordinate position because he is obliged to pay a lot of money for free every year. If he wants Konoha's ninjas to do something for him, he would need to give additional money to Konoha and issue a mission.
So, the daimyo was quite eager when he heard those clans' proposal of giving him certain amount of power in Konoha. Because of that, he tried his best to help those clans out.
Among Sarutobi's classmates, Danzo was the most vocal about this. He tried his best to force Sarutobi to give him some power while preaching to help him manage the village and lowering his burdens etc.
If it was the canon Sarutobi Hiruzen, who has only just been able to reach the Kage level, who didn't come from any big clan, who didn't have much charisma to convince everyone of his capability to be a good Hokage, he might have succumbed to the pressure and divided the power with his so-called classmates and other villagers.
But that is not the case here, Sarutobi is now the strongest ninja in the village and the world. He has full support from one of the biggest clans(Senju) in Konoha because of his blood relationship with them. Not to mention those clans and ninjas who were loyal to Tobirama are now in his side as well.
So, with these much resources behind him, it wasn't that much of a problem for Sarutobi to tackle these problems and firmly sit on his position as a Hokage. As of now, he has absolute authority over the village.
Even though it can't be said that all ninjas are on his side right now, it can clearly be seen that he has managed to get the loyalty of at least half of the ninjas and that is enough for him keep the remaining people at bay.
As for those that are fully hostile to him, Sarutobi will get rid of them but not now. He would do that only when he is certain that there will be no backlash for him. And if he can convert those people to his side before that time comes, then that would he even better.
