Chapter 2: Who are you? Your not my wife .
Jane woke up several days later , she had fallen into coma because of the shock of knowing she is a totally different person. She had woken up about an hour and sat on the bed. Her movements were timid not to wake the sleeping man . His head rested on the bed , Henry had stayed awake the entire night to keep watch on her.
Jane sat thinking of what she should do . 'Should I tell him the truth , he beliefs I'm his wife but ...my promise to Yeimy, she had saved my life in the plane by pushing me before the bomb went out under my seat and unfortunately lost her life in the incident. I should not disrespect her benevolence. 'She heaved a heavy sigh .
Her little movements woke the sleeping man , she almost got lost by taking a dive in his ocean eyes . She shamelessly gawk at him. Even though he found her attitude strange , he couldn't care less as long as he gets to hold her again.Immediately he placed the back of his impeccably soft hand on her forehead.
" Sigh , Thank God your fever is over " he heaved a sigh of relief.Henry caressed her hair with only love in his eyes.
He froze for a moment like he remembered something " You haven't eaten anything yet " he spoke calmly. Then walked out to get some food.
Jane was in a trance like state , this was thesame man who left her in the cold at their trip to the Bahamas. He was so heartless and did not let her in despite having a cold. The saying was right ' Every twisted , cold person has it's missing rib ' . She sighed heavily.
The pain in her body had subsided and her eyes could still wander in the ward. She was still in the hospital.
Jane suddenly felt desolate, it turned out she will not be able to contact her family or her fiance James Clinton. Her heart snake at that thought.
A moment later , Henry walked in with flask . He had a grin on his face flaunting his perfectly same size white teeth.
Later , he gently fed her soup . She was reluctant at first and gave up when she saw her stubborn Henry was .
Henry was overjoyed when he saw that she gave up . He smiled faintly and said " I will take off three days of work to take care of you , no buts or ifs " he knew she never allowed him stay home with her when she was aware of his company major contract.
Jane nodded and drank more soup . He smiled inadvertantly at her . Yeimy finally agreed to what he wanted it was very strange.
However when she could not take anymore , " I'm ok " she said pushing the bowl away .
Henry took out some tissues and wiped the corner of her mouth. She was taken aback by his careful actions , he was very gentle. Her heart softened even her fiance did not treat her this way . She couldn't help but think " Yeimy, your such a lucky girl to have someone like him .
" You , little pig .. " he teased pulling her cheeks. " Billie has missed you. Hon , I missed You " he gaze fell on her lips.
Jane noticed this and backed out . ' What if he kissed me and finds out that I'm not his wife . In the same way i recognize Jame's touch he may recognize mine '
Watching her subtle movement, his face became gloomy. He never understood her , she was filled with mysteries. At first she always took the initiative and acted so clingy and possessive and now .... pulling back.
He guessed that was the reason he got intrigued by her .
In the next few days , Henry took a break for work and took care of Yeimy ( Jane ) around the clock. He fed , wiped and gave her drugs on time. He took her out at three from some fresh air in the garden of the hospital. He sometimes read to her and filled her on the progress of Billie, his daughter.
Janet didn't want to stay in the toxic place anymore and insisted on going home.
On their way home , the ride was quite and long. Henry could feel her stiff, uncomfortable and distant.
On the other hand Janet Austen was in a daze . She wondered why no other family members visited and how she could visit her family. She also knew she had to meet that doctor and know everything about this new identity she just took up . She had to know Yeimy's likes , dislikes , allergies , and character. Janet only knew she was a lively and Bubbly person as the crossed paths during working hours.
Janet could not take the silence anymore, though she feared the man . She just had to ask .
" Why .. did our family members not ..visit me " she stuttered mildly.
The car came to a sudden stop. There was an emotion of disbelief on Henry's flawless face . He stared into her eyes like he wanted to steal her soul .
Jane sank uncontrollably on her seat .
" Who are you , Your not my wife . Are you a doppelganger, .. did you somehow kidnap my wife " he questioned staring at her intently.
