Chapter 1: Danger at the seashore
Mild singing of different voices emerges by the seas of Batangas. Three youthful individuals are seen gathered round a burning fire, their mild voices gets louder.
"As the seas waves dances to our song" the voices sang conclusively
" Its so blissful out here guys" Eddy opts with a large sigh. Aria, clutches to her woolen shawl over her neck giving a sigh of relief, she places her hands over kary who looked more or less like a masquerade with the beauty black mask on her aging face.
They all gazed at the moonlight with bright faces still standing close to the burning fire.
" I'd never thought a day as free as this would come... I feel so...so work free " kary spoke cheerfully.
" Weren't you the doubting Thomas amongst the group? "
" What?...me?" Kary gave a pretentious look at eddy. Aria stood there awaiting the tantrum the two were about to throw.
" Weren't you being so doubtful that the chief director would give us time off from work" Eddy's brown eyes threatened her to speak the truth.
" Oh shut up you freak... I... I only thought that..."
" Short of words"Eddy mocks her humorously
"Phew...I am just short of breath from your sweating armpits..." "You fat pig!" Kary exclaimed, Eddy stylishly sniffs his armpits and squeeze his nose repeatedly . She immediately shifts away from Eddy's side and went close to Aria whose cheeks turned red from laughing innerly at the duo.
" you guys are just set of clowns. We came here to cool off,remember? And not quarrel" Aria said,turning to Kary.
" Kary, you are frowning, you have a beauty mask on it would only give you more wrinkles you've been battling to avoid"
Kary immediately put on a smile. Having a smooth skin as Aria's was kary's battle apart from her hectic work on animal documentaries.
She considers Aria's beauty mask a perfect solution for her skin.
" That smile isn't good enough for making those wrinkles disappear "Aria playfully widens her cheeks which showed her teeth more like a birthday clown.
" This should help bring out the perfect smile" Eddy hastily walked up to Kary with his left armpits up.
" No no no no no no, Aria stop him!" Kary yells and runs away from Eddy who chased her around the shore like a kid. Aria couldn't help but join in the fun. They ran around, chuckling like playground toddlers.
Aria squats close to sea. She repeatedly bowls water from the sea with her palm , she washes off something from her ears.
" oh kary, did you have to throw shore sands to my ears?" Aria said still busied with washing off her ears.
" Don't blame me, blame fat eddy. The sand were met to be thrown at his ugly pits" Eddy stood a little far making funny faces at kary.
Aria looked troubled as she repeatedly held her neckline as if looking for something.
" Guys I can't find my necklace" Aria voiced troubled
Eddy and kary move closer to Aria. Aria stands immediately putting on a worried look.
" You mean the one your late dad gave you?" Eddy asked
" yeah...it was on me a while ago" Aria said searching around for it, she turned on her dim torchlight on her cellphone.
Eddy looked around the sea "its getting late Aria. We should come search for it by tomorrow. The night is quite dangerous here" Eddy spoke shiverishly
Aria kept mute for a while still searching for it.
" Eddy is right we should get back to the lighthouse. We promise to come look for it with you tomorrow. "
" Its Fine. You guys should head back. I'll just look for it some more" Aria felt perplexed as she moved forward passed the burning fire which seemed to be dying.
" oh Aria don't be so stubborn, "Eddy exclaimed worriedly.
Aria's only thought at this point was to find this necklace. She needn't misplaced the only memories she had of her father.
" Aria!!! Aria!!! Aria come back!!!" The duo screamed out loudly ,they looked at eachother worriedly. They couldn't tail Aria. What if they all got in danger, there would be no rescue, they thought.
" We need to go find help from the lighthouse to bring back Aria, she won't listen to us if we keep yelling her name effortlessly " kary suggested as Eddy nods to this. They quickly ran out of the shores.
Aria face got paled,her legs weakened from walking on the shore barefooted.
" Heavens please help me find this necklace. Its so important to me" Aria prays silently still searching. She had reached the end rocks of the sea were they had been last.
Suddenly a bright object made of diamond floats on the sea. Aria's eyes caught this immediately. She felt excited seeing the necklace as she rushed to the place where it floated.
Aria dives in to get it, the necklace begins to float away on the deep side of the sea as she trys to grab it. Aria didn't think twice as she dives deeper into the sea.
She swims faster to get the necklace which was already at the depth of the sea. The deeper she swims the more risk she takes to lose oxygen. She struggles to grab it with her foot, she slowly runs out of air inside the sea.
Before falling unconscious she felt she was being carried up by a strong force. Her eyes dimmed in the water. Her vision became blurry ,she couldn't easily see what took her up.
All she noticed was her savior swimmed so fast and had strong muscles which was wrapped by her waist as she became unconscious
An handsome merman swimmed and sat on the shores with Aria in his arms. His wet black hair which covered his angelic face stunned like little bright stars as water from his wet hair drips down on his broad chest.
His tail as if polished in fine cobalt colour twinkled evenly. His peeble blue eyes seemed to be one of a kind. He continuously stared at the unconscious Aria, whose hair fell wet on the shore sands.
The merman gently places her on the shore sand. He swimmed closer to her putting his body on the shores but his tail in the sea. He then gave Aria kiss on her soft pink lips which seemed Little.
" Aria!! Aria!!! Aria!! " voices echoed loudly. The merman heard this, he turned to Aria who coughed out water from her mouth. Her sight seemed blurry, the skies were blank of stars In her eyes. She looked around and then spots a mild face at her right.
She smiled dizzily and felt unconscious again.
" Goodbye" The merman said in a charming tone and smiled back as he swam back into the water hastily.
