Chapter 3: 3 How it all began II I

After my eyes adjusted to the first light I had seen in over a month I realized how grand the room was, it was like a palace, with the interior built with pure white rock, which was so smooth, it was a little slippery to walk on, all the designs were made of pure gold, silver and precious stones, the best of the best.

The vegetation was lush, with multi colored plants at every corner and grand windows. The ceiling was greatly elevated with pure rhodium and diamond lining the collosal doorways.

We were moved forward by the guards who easily overpowered all of us, even with our defensive gear, well all of us except for Ada, but we convinced her to oblige.

We saw a man sitting on a golden throne dotted with certain blue- indigo stones I had never seen before, probably in his late forties.

He had a cloak made of a giant tan cat with a massive clump of brown hair on its head, placed across his back and a skirt made of grass on his waist. He was very good looking, even for his age, so as his angelically beautiful wife. His son was even better looking, with his perfect muscles and facial features, as good as me. Yes, I just said I was really good looking, it's true, it's just my nerdy quirks kept the girls away.

Pablo tried communicating our cause while I stared at the obvious prince, something was familiar about him, but what?

They didn't understand each other, we were going nowhere with this, until I remembered something, the universal language translator we were given. I needed to put it on one of them as it could only translate into English, Dutch, French, Swiss, Spanish and Portuguese, our languages.

The guards almost chopped my hand off when I offered it but the Prince stopped them, then wore it himself to even my surprise.

After adjusting it, he began,"State your reason for being here."

I wasn't surprised as it was programmed to interpret a person's brainwaves into a chosen language and vice versa, even before the person can speak. Though it is very useful, it isn't always accurate, especially when someone doesn't say what they think when they are sarcastic, keeping secrets or just lying and also, the person's mouth doesn't actually move in accordance with their speech, it's somehow like watching a telenovela in another language.

The Prince seemed impressed.

"We are a homeless people in need of a place to start a new civilization and we hope that you will find it in your heart to help us", Pablo said.

I deactivated the translator and he spoke to the king. A frown settled on the king's face before he said something.

The Prince smirked and spoke again, after a few minutes of conversing, the prince spoke to us,"The king has allowed me to choose a suitable land for you and all your people, please follow me."

We did innocently and for another two months, we were transported.

We got down and sunk into ankle depth of...

"Snow?", Greta asked.
