Chapter 81: Reproduction is the Most Important Matter

Both Shuule and Ukko's jaws went slack, staring at Set as he pulled his arms tightly around his body and looked up at the ceiling, not wanting to keep discussing this. If he didn't know how upset it would make Shuule right now, he would have shifted into his full serpent and slunk off to end the conversation. It went against every deep rooted instinct, but he had been thinking about, dreading this day, since they settled into the treehouse and had a moment of peace.

"Then explain yourself," Shuule growled through gritted teeth.

Set's cold eyes measured both the beasts in the room, before shifting entirely into a man, something he had rarely done to this point. It took Shuule by surprise, used to her mate taking up twice as much space in the room, and finding herself now completely exposed, free of his coils. Quickly, he snapped a tiger skin skirt off a peg on the wall, wrapping it around his waist, before sitting down.
