"We need to get back to Liyue as soon as possible... The nation has an issue possibly worse than Dvalin." I cursed as I jumped onto the Anemo Hypostasis, and we flew off at high speed towards Liyue as I pushed the remains of my aura into the Anemo being so it could reach its top speed.
"Jake what's wrong? You look like when Childe and Dottore came to reinforce Signora?" Paimon asked me with concern making me sigh.
I am hating that canon isn't being followed or just that us not allowing the Fatui to take the Anemo Gnosis has led to so many changes. Like who freed Azhdaha? Was it the Fatui like how they freed that sealed god in the ocean next to Liyue in canon? Or after their failure in Mondstadt in controlling Dvalin did the Abyss Order just come free Azhdaha here in Liyue?"
Or hell Azhdaha could have literally just freed himself somehow and is just hiding in wait to probably attack Liyue in order to get back at Morax for sealing him as his mind deteriorated due to the worlds Erosion on immortal souls.
Either way Liyue is looking to be a melting pot of potential issues.
"Azhdaha the partner and greatest fighter in Morax's service back during the Archon War has escaped his seal... The problem is that he literally insane due to the worlds Erosion trying to break down his soul as such is all the fates of immortals here in Teyvat now." I spoke tiredly as I flew back towards Liyue.
"Oh yeah Venti mentioned Erosion a few times when we were going to fight Dvalin what even is it!" Paimon asked and I could feel Eula and Lumine's interest also being pushed towards myself for the question.
I bit my tongue as I took in Paimon who just looked at me with pure curiosity and I couldn't help but wonder if she really actually was that Unknown God that rolled the twins when they arrived here in Teyvat.
No Paimon is too derpy and useless to be her. Or at least she is so faded that she cannot do anything even if she had the memories of her Unknown God self. "Erosion was put into place during the times of the Archon War by Celestia for unknown reasons. But between the Archon War and Erosion literally all the gods actually on the surface of Teyvat died or were sealed away. Thus, allowing for Celestia to pull at the native powers of the new Archons to fill the leylines and almost entirely standardize the elemental power that flows within Teyvat along with creating Visions with said power."
"As for what Erosion does? It simply wears down souls over the course of centuries which has killed off almost all the supernatural beings of Teyvat like the Kitsune and Oni clans and drove the Adepti into hiding in pocket realms to avoid it." I finished making Lumine frown as she herself was an ageless being and was probably worried about own her soul being worn down or even turned insane.
The rest of the trip back was filled with a heavy silence as we all silently contemplated whether we should get involved with Liyue's troubles or likewise even stay there at all. As the coming Rite of Descension was looking to be a catastrophe in the making.
"Jake, I think we should stay in Liyue or at least just keep to our agreement in delivering that package to Inazuma and seeing the turmoil there." Eula spoke and I hummed in thought nodding as I saw the port city of Liyue in the distance.
"Running away won't solve anything, but there's nothing wrong with running away when we cannot deal with something." Lumine added her sage advice and I deadpanned at her, but honestly her words were correct.
"Alright looks like we will be sticking around. Eula, you take Lumine and Paimon inside. I am going to Ningguang at that flying Jade Chamber to tell her, she has a rouge god angry at Liyue in her backyard." I said with a subtle smile at how such news was going to upset Ningguang's plans for the city as her political games had irked me a bit.
I was no piece to be moved around at will. I at least needed to be paid for such nonsense.
Thankfully I was able to actually fly up to the Jade Chamber without being shot down or something, but obviously I was stopped by the guards that rushed out seeing me land on the front area of the Jade Chamber.
"Halt! Kneel with your hands behind your back so you may be detained for breaking into a Liyue government facility!" The guard roared but I just stared at him dully.
"I am here to give Ningguang a warning about a threat to the nations peace. If I will not be allowed to see her then I will just back down to the city, and she can send one her employees preferably Ganyu to verify the news." I said shrugging as the news that I had something important to tell Ningguang would get to her through the guards anyway. But I wasn't going to be arrested for telling some news and have to sit in a cell for a few hours.
"I said halt!" The guard roared as he and the other guards advanced on me with their spears, so I just rolled my eyes and threw a gale of Anemo winds to push them into the Jade Chamber's walls as I just did a front flip off the edge of the Jade Chamber falling towards the ground until I used my Wingsuit to glide directly back home.
What's with the Liyue Qixiang in wanting to arrest first and ask questions later? I pondered as I flew back home. I mean Mondstadts Knights of Favonius didn't act that way or more like all the knights of note that patrolled the city were rather easy going so the knights beneath them were the same.
As I arrived back home and entered, I could hear the girls talking and some new voices so as I went into the living room, I saw that Yelan and Yanfei were there talking to the girls.
"Oh hello." I waved to Yanfei in particular.
Yanfei had a pale complexion, bright teal-green eyes with ovoid pupils, and salmon pink hair that goes past her shoulders and faded into a pale peach at the tips. The hair around the sides of her head is chopped short at ear length in a fringe, revealing a pair of cream-colored antlers that was tied to her Adeptus bloodline as she was half Adepti and half human.
Funny thing about Adepti. Most of the time they were in their beast form like Cloud Retainer and the others that lived in Jueyan Karst. So, with her parent being a Xiezhi which was a divine goat beast... Did her human mother fall in love with said goat form of her father first?
