Chapter 21: Chapter 21: Ryo and Aiko's Bedroom Problem.
Ryo P.O.V:
We finally reached the town of Krosstown by nightfall, we slowly approached the large gate of the town, and two guards under a lit torch, stopped us.
" Halt! " The guard said to us, or more likely, me, Axle and Aiko.
" Who are you people and what business do you want in Krosstown. " The guard looked at me, I coughed a bit to clear my throat before speaking, but River got to him first.
" Woah Frankie, no need to be suspicious of them, they're with us. " Frankie looked at River with a raised eyebrow and asked.
" They're with you? "
" Yes, we've met along the road towards our mission. We got into a bit of trouble but they were there to lend us a hand. "
" Your team, in a trouble that needed help? We should report this to the guild master immediately to give a proper response. " The guard was about to turn away and alert his other comrade, when River hastily stopped him.
" Wait, wait, wait, you don't need to report this, it was just some bandits blocking our path and I didn't interfere because I was testing Larissa and her group if they can do the dirty part of a mission. " Frankie stopped and looked at River, waiting for him to finish.
" Well? Did they do it. " Frankie asked and River released a sigh.
" Sadly no, when I was about to interfere and finish the fighting, Ryo and his friends came in and singlehandedly finished them. " Frankie raised an eyebrow and then looked at us again, judgmentally.
" I see, but even though they're with you, we still need to inspect them. "
" I get it, Ryo, listen to Frankie here and we'll be done, is that okay with you? " I nodded to confirm that it was okay, Frankie the guard steps towards us and ready, a notepad and pencil?
" Okay son, please get down from the horse, along with your girlfriend. " Aiko blushed and suspiciously didn't deny it, or she's just tired like I am and didn't have enough energy to have useless denials because we can see that the guard is teasing us, we got down quietly and I saw that Larissa and Fay were conversing on something and I have a feeling that we were part of what they were conversing.
" I'll just get straight to the important points because it seems that you're all tired, so do you have any birth certificates? " I shake my head in a no.
" What? Why don't you have any birth certificates? "
" I don't think I remember having any. " I said, still in my amnesia act.
" And mine got burned. " Aiko said with sadness, I grabbed her hand and gave it a light squeeze, she calmed down and silently thanked me.
" Huh? "
" Frankie, they don't have any certificates because they are a special case. " River said and Frankie released a sigh and moved on to ask another question.
" Do you have any weapons with you? " I nodded and showed him my Daggers and Aiko showed her scepter.
" Are you guys adventurers from another guild? " We shook our heads in a no and Frankie released another sigh while writing something on the pad.
" Okay, you're not an adventurer and don't have any birth certificates, you will need to pay a hefty fine of two gold coins and one silver coin for the horse. " Aiko looked at me nervously because of the price but I summoned my coin pouch and gave the coins to Frankie and he gave us a piece of paper that had something written on it to confirm the exchange.
" Thank you for your cooperation and sorry for the fine, bandits have been frequent in these parts lately and the higher ups are cautious of this matter. "
" Eh, don't worry about it, we are suspicious people in a way. " Frankie smiled and nodded at us before leaving and ordered his comrade to open the large gate.
" Hey Ryo. " Larissa said right beside me and I looked at her.
" Since you lose part of your memory, I guess you don't know the parts of this town, right? " I nodded and waited for her to continue.
" Great! Oh I mean that I can show you somewhere, not you losing your memory. " I chuckled and gave her a head pat by reflexes, Larissa enjoyed the head pat but Aiko weirdly looked at us in a side glare, I retracted my arm and Larissa pouted but quickly got rid of it.
" Okay then, follow me, I'll take you guys to an inn that I personally work at. "
" Really, that's great. But, what about Axle though. "
" Don't worry about it, River or Maia already took him. " Larissa said and released a little giggle. I looked to my side and saw Axle and Maia walking side by side, that little bastard. I heaved a sigh and looked at Larissa.
" Welp, guide us to your inn. "
" Okay, follow me! " After she said that, we started to walk towards the gate and entered the town, I was shocked at the towns liveliness, even at night, the street lamp lights were like the glowing crystal from the cave, there were multiple buildings here, and I can see multiple eateries and bakery, Larissa said that eateries are placed here, because if you're hungry when you reach the town, you'll be able to just quickly walked towards a restaurant and order food.
We walked more and I saw multiple Beastmen races, and some elves here and there, and some dwarfs occasionally . We then finally reached the inn, it was called Lorelei's comfort inn. Larissa entered first and we heard the bell ring, signaling that there were customers.
A beautiful woman in her mid thirties at least, she had light blonde and slightly curled hair, she was wearing a white fluffed short sleeved blouse, and a one piece red skirt that reached below the knee, and a slightly dirty white apron.
" Hi Mom! I have brought some customers with me. " Larissa greeted the woman and Aiko was surprised. Well, I would be too if I didn't have Appraisal. She looked way too young, but I was surprised by another thing about her stats.

This is and advance version or evolved version of the spinning slashing, but in order to put its fullest potential for damage, the user will have to summon wind by slashing multiple fast pace slash to create sharp winds or have a wind base magic or have an item to help the user summon wind. }

' shit! ' That was the first thought that came into my mind when I saw that special skill, Lorelei then looked at me, interested, after feeling my use of Appraise on her.
" Oh my, *giggles* what an interesting skill you have there. If I remembered it correctly, it was called Inspect, right? " I quickly went to act in my memory lost act, I leaned my head to the side with genuine confusion because she called my Appraisal, inspect, is it another name for Appraisal?

' hmm? Why? Is it another skill ? '
[ Yes, it's a different skill. Innspect is just like Appraise, but unlike Appraise, inspect can only let the user see the lvl, attack, attack speed, Defense, speed, and Mana capacity. ]
' ohhh~ I see. ' While I was talking to Arya about the difference between the two skills, Lorelei was calling my name.
" Mr, Ryo? Mr Ryo to land, are you there? "
" Huh? Ah, sorry, I was thinking about what you said earlier. "
" Oh, no need Mr. Ryo, while you were spacing out, my daughter already told me about your condition. I'm sorry about that, but I'll explain what your innate skill is. "

I found out that everyone can have an innate skill from their ancestors but you need to reach certain conditions to unlock it. Typically, adventurers unlock theirs in level 500 above, but there are some rare people that unlock their Innate Skill much earlier than most people. Lorelei and I were part of that rare people, she told us that she unlocked hers at the level of 234.
When she was done explaining, she told me to be careful when using this skill because I can get into trouble. Larissa on the other hand saw her mother and me in a different way, it was akin to admiration.
" Wow! I didn't know you had that kind of skill Ryo! Mom, when can I unlock mine, and can it be the same with yours?! " Larissa said expectantly, but she was brought down by her mother.
" I'm sorry Larissa, but Innate Skills deferre from person to person because your body and Mana needs to recognize your ancestors skills in your blood. " Larissa became gloomy but she then became hopeful after Lorelei said it could be possible just like some Noble families' Innate Skills that had been passed down from generation to the next. After this little talk of ours, Lorelei turned back to business.
" Mr. Ryo. " She was about to say something but I interrupted her.
" No, please just call me Ryo, being called Mr. Ryo is kind of making me feel like an old married man. "
" Oh, *giggles* Ryo, I hope that my daughter didn't drag you here. " Larissa gasped in shock.
" Wha-, mom?! "
" Hmm, didn't you drag some customers here before. " Larissa became speechless and then pouted, we chuckled and decided to tell her.
" Don't worry Miss Lorelei, your daughter might have dragged me here, but I was in need of an inn to stay and when she said that she personally worked at one, I became interested and asked her to show us the inn. "
" Ohh~ I see, so, how many days would you like to stay and how many rooms would you rent. "
" Hmm, how much is two rooms, along with three meals a day for a month. " I said but Aiko interjected.
" Two? We could just rent one room and I could sleep with you, Master, besides sleeping with you every night is very fun. " Aiko said, Larissa and Lorelei had a red blush on their cheeks, it seems they misunderstood what she said.
" We-well, we have a couples room available. " Lorelei said but I had to turn it down.
" no, no, no, I'm sorry Aiko, but you can't sleep with me. " Aiko's ears and tails became droopy and she looked at the wood floor with a dejected look.
" Oh, does the Master don't want to sleep with me? I just wanted you to rent one room so you don't need to spend more of your coins. *Sigh* But I get it, I'm annoying to sleep with. " Aiko said the last part in a low voice but the inn was very quiet so we still heard her and I had a guilty look, I hastily declined her without explaining why.
" Aiko, it's not that, it was because- " when I was about to explain why we needed a separate ro, but Larissa interrupted with an angry look, trying to defend Aiko.
" Why won't you share a room with your girlfriend?! " Larissa
" Huh? Bu- "
" She was even trying to consider your spending and you declined her?! Not cool. " Larrisa
" I think yo- " Lorelei then slides into the conversation.
" Yeah, she's a very sweet girl, you should cherish her more because you can't find any girl like her. " Lorelei said with a stern face, they didn't stop giving me good points, so.
" Fine! I'll rent the couples room. " I said and it seems to make them stop.
" Really master? " I nodded and Aiko hugged me very tightly while wiggling her tails happily. I think she doesn't understand what a couple is.
" Aw~ that's cute, you guys are gonna be a great couple. " Lorelei said with a smile and a reminiscing look.
" Yeah, they're making me feel more single now. " Larissa said while wiping her streaming tears with a handkerchief.
" One couples room, for a month with three meals a day. That will be 300 silver coins. " Lorelei said and I gave her three gold coins, Lorelei and Larissa were surprised.
" Um, ah, one g-gold coin will b-be enough sir. " Lorelei said in a nervous yet surprised tone, making me raise an eyebrow.
" Hmm, didn't I just say call me Ryo, but isn't it 3 gold coins for 300 silver coins? "
" Huh?! How do you know the coin's worth from the past? "
" From the past? What is it worth now? "
" The gold coin's value now is 1,000 silver coins or 10,000 copper coins. " Now I was surprised, and then my system panel had a download bar.

" Ohh~ okay, I'll take the two gold coins, but can you increase the stay for two months? " Lorelei nodded and changed the numbers of stay for us, she then gave me the change of 400 Silver coins.
" Ryo? Are you some kind of a lost Noble child? " Larissa asked, Aiko made an expression of understandment, maybe she understands now why I have a lot of money.
" Ehh? I don't think I am. "
" But you could be! You said you lost your memory right? Maybe your captors used some potions or some strong spells to make you lose your memory so that you can be more obedient to be a hostage for a large ransom. " Larissa said, the imagination of this girl is incredible, her explanation is on point but I'm not some kind of lost noble child or got kidnapped, I just got transported by an unknown entity's powers. Lorelei put her hand on her chin in a thinking position and maybe think that what her daughter's explanation was right
" Your explanation was very good, Larissa, but I'm not a lost or kidnapped Noble child, even if I am one, my parents or captors will be looking for me. "
" That might be true, but still. "
" I'm thankful for your worries about my well being, but can we continue this tomorrow? We're kinda tired from our travels and it's also night time, so can you show us our room now? " Aiko was slightly droopy because she was tired and Lorelei give us our room keys and Larissa was the one that took us to our room, this building had four floors and our room was at the second floor, while we were going to our destined room, I noticed Larissa keep looking our hands that was intertwined together. When we reached the room, Larissa asked us something.
" Umm, if you guys don't mind me asking, will you tell me what your age is. "
" Hm, I'm 16. "
" And I'm *yawned* 15. " Aiko said in a sleepy tone. Larissa then looked at us with disbelief after hearing our age.
" What? You guys are younger than me yet you're already in a relationship, what an unfair world. " Larissa was overreacting and I opened my mouth to say something but I only sigh because I'm too tired and Aiko was already asleep.
Larissa then left us alone and I opened our rooms and carried her to the bed before closing it. I took off my boots along with hers then laid on the farthest side of the bed and let my consciousness drift off to sleep.
