Chapter 12: Patency For Modern T-Shirts And Hoodies, Procuring Funds
The mustachioed gentleman 'assaulted' Touya by moving around him and touching his clothes to feel the fabric. He searched every nook and cranny of Touya's school uniform, which caused Touya to be dumbfounded by his actions.
"I have not seen such a design. And this sewing... how on earth... Hmmm..."
The mustache gentleman placed his hand on his chin as he started to think of the sewing techniques that were used to create Touya's school uniform.
"If you like it, shall I give it to you?"
"Really?"
To Touya's proposal, the mustachioed gentleman vigorously took the bait.
"These clothes were sold to me by a traveling merchant, but I'll hand them over if you like. However, it'll be troublesome if I sell everything I'm wearing. So in the next town, I'll be grateful if I receive different clothing."
"Very well! Please get on the carriage. I will give you a ride to the next town. And there, I will prepare you some new clothes and you'll sell those clothes to me."
"Then, this deal is complete."
Touya and the mustachioed gentleman firmly shook hands.
Afterward, Touya went to the carriage inside, while the mustachioed gentleman who called himself Zanakku went toward me and Miku as he inspected our clothing.
"Boy! Your clothes are straightforward, but I know that they are very comfortable to wear and are also practical. If I sell and popularize those clothes, I would become popular in the fashion and clothing industry! Tell me, how much do you want me to pay you for patenting your clothes?"
Zanakku asked me as he was truly invested in his job as a fashion king. From what I had read in the web novels, Zanakku owned his clothing shop known as "Fashion King Zanakku".
He took a glance at Miku's clothes, but they didn't interest him, unlike my clothes. He knew the potential of my clothes that would sell like hotcakes if he sold them in his shop, unlike Miku's clothes that would only be sold to females and only a few selected females with high taste would wear such clothes.
Since t-shirts and hoodies could be worn by any gender, and not only were they very comfortable to wear, they were very popular back on Earth, there weren't any reasons why they would not be popular in this world as well.
And since Zanakku was a self-proclaimed fashion king, he knew about this fact, so he didn't hesitate to ask me to patent my clothes, unlike Touya's clothes, which he only asked him to sell.
Touya's clothes would probably be left in Zanakku's collection, unlike mine, which would be mass-produced and sold by his shop.
Since I don't have any funds at the moment, I was inclined to accept his offer, and I also respected him for not lusting over Miku's beauty.
Those who can resist Miku's beauty but still appreciate it are worthy of my respect.
But, Zanakku seemed to be impotent as he didn't feel anything when he gazed at Miku's beauty. Or, he might likely be more interested in older women. Either way, it was none of my business.
I had summoned my system earlier and noticed that all of my stats that were improved from my hobbies tab were now at 22.
One should know that a start value of 1 is equal to ten times the capability of a normal human. So 22 stats were equal to 220 times the capacity of an average human being. And that applied to my Smart and Wisdom Stats.

So, with my smart and wisdom stats being 220 times higher than an average human, I started to negotiate with Zanakku for the patency of my t-shirt and hoodie.
It was the start of my operation to earn funds for Hatsune Miku and me.

I know that I haven't added any dialogues for Hatsune Miku, but please bear with me with this. I promise that when Katake and Hatsune Miku find a settlement, I will make sure that Hatsune Miku has her part in the story.
Also, expect a few scenes where some screen time is on Touya since he is the protagonist of the world for a reason. The plot of this world revolves around him, so Katake will often join him on his journey alongside Hatsune Miku.
But, I won't make Katake look like a side character for as long as I plan to make Touya the side character of this story.
