Chapter 2: AHEAD OF TIME Volume 2(Squashed Reality)
Stories of Jimmy Johns ended continues this way, although that was a awful way to end a story, but it was direct from my memory diary, all I could remember was that, that was much of a boring section in my imagination world so let's come back to reality.
All this time I mentioned hallucinating, I was actually thinking out loud, Although the doctor mentioned that I was in Coma for 48hours but everyone around there was could hear me clearly including my reactions, this calls for attention and everyone that doesn't care we're present Mum, Dad, Neighbor and most especially my Principal Mr. Nicole Hopkinson, who help spread the news as soon as he could get the information, and when he came by with the status of everything he saw asked other students to pray for me cause I was breaking bad as seen by and he also included in his announcement 'Who is Vera? I think he needs your attention as well' and that was a bullet in my skul, with the little complement of Mr. Hopkinson everyone attention got secured and the information spread like wildfire, everyone connected to Vera without even knowing whichever Vera exactly urge them to come see me, that was a hell of a ride.
Actually, when I heard all of these I was already up, but when I got up everyone has left, only me and the guiding nurse at 11pm, that night I wanted to leave and head home straight but the nurse told me to relax and fed me with all of these news, she told me Vera came by to check on me so I should be aware of it, I started picturing it anyway in my head like damn! What a lost opportunity, but she patted me cause I was lost in thought and said "although we had almost 3-4 (three to four) that actually came by from Holden High School" I got frustrated and asked the nurse "what's your name?" Sharply the nurse said "well the name is Nurse Veracious" smiling. I said to myself something isn't right, she turned around and said (voice fading based on direction) "let's fix you up, you gotta eat something before you loose it again". I started looking for the nearest exit but I couldn't find any and when I peeped through the window it's a four-storey building, In no time, I tried to make it an exit in my own way, about to place my second leg on the window. She appeared screaming "it'll cost me my life and job please don't leave" running towards my position, I screamed back at stating my terms "only if you'll let me go home" she stared at me and said "it's fine just some hours to go home, by 5am you would sure get home, you just need to eat and sleep" I was pleased with the response though and I agreed to come back to the bed.
However, she brought pizza and I had no choice but to have it her way, since we had a deal, I also felt free to throw question at the moment and I asked what does this Vera looks like?. At Holden High School we had a five (5) in total, people who bears the name "VERA" but I don't care to know them as far as am concerned I only know one of them vividly and her name is Charles Veracious, Veracious is a book-worm loves to study always, I've traced her steps down to the School Library on several occasions, in my Grade 2 I tried to oppose her in a Argumentative Competition that states "Cross Bags should not be Replaced with School bags" in which I chose Cross bag and she won me on 10-2 points, that was a massive win for her; but I also found out she was more outspoken compared to me on that show-off competition, I liked her for that but the fear of oral conversation increased incredibly, and anybody could catch me tagging along with her couldn't go closer than that. Nurse Vera described every other Vera that came by but none of them were Charles Vera.
Earlier than everyone, I woke up 4:30am, Dad's alarm messed with my head and woke Nurse Vera and I said to her "Our deal ends in 29 minutes" smiles Nurse Vera answered turning her back "Yeah, I think I've 28 minutes to sleep", my eager spirit merely broke anyways and I keep staring at the time hoping it could be faster. And boom it's 5AM, happily waiting to get home which was my only card to play to know if all these will end the long-term holiday my parents took from home. Nurse Vera signed out at the reception and took home and made sure I entered the house seeing me off, but this time something feels odd, nobody was home, I was told Dad came by to check me at the hospital, I started asking myself these questions, How did I get to the hospital when this house is empty? Who paid the hospital bills if Mum isn't how 5:10am? Who contacted my School Principal to check on me? But unfortunately, I couldn't place this with my imagination, so I took my school bag and left home for school as early as 5:30am.
Possibly, I'd become the talk of the Town in seconds, if all that Nurse Vera told me was true, so I took my seat in my class being the first person in school I could choose any seat but I didn't I took my routine seat and dozed off. The next sound I heard that woke me was the door bell when another student wanted to enter the class, and guess who it is? It was Franklin Veracious she also came by at the hospital, So I had to play along as she rushed me with hugs and kisses all over my face, asked about my health status, and all other questions which I possibly don't have to answer. She left me with a promise of buying me pizza righaway, I got frustrated like exclaimed in my head "Pizza Again" and by then it was 7:46am when one of the top bullies came by, Harry Benison shouting loudly "Jimmy the Sick-Freak, so you need Vera, My very own Vera Morrison back there at the hospital to cool you off, cause you're a weakling" landed some blows that bruised my face and Harry picked me up again and told me "Now you're going back to that hospital, cause that's where you belong" he added "pain in the ass, piss off" as he kicked me off my chair.
